From New Years Eve...

 The year starts with an tremendous Disney-style new years celebration taking place not only inside the Disneyland Park, where a special fireworks display sets the mood for the open air disco on Central Plaza and inside several other locations (usually the Country Cookout Barbecue and the Videopolis, the later being the location for the friends of Techno-music), but also at the Disney Village were international guests mix with a young audience from the region for a large party well into the morning. While the celebration as the Disney Village are a high-energy party catering the youth and the young at heart the Disneyland Park offers a more mixed celebration, ranging from the powerfull rock or techno-party for all ages across to the more laied back high class event for those looking fro the enchanting, romantic moment...

Already on the next day the celebrations at the Disneyland Resort Paris continue - to be exact the most festive of all seasons continues: the Christmas season which is prolonged well into January at DLRP. Once Santa Claus and his reindeer have left the resort the Disney Village is happy to welcome some new, exotic guests - artists and acrobats straight from China who introduce the guests to the wonders and traditions of China and the Chinese New Year as part of Disney's Chinese Celebration, complete with nightly fireworks.

Low crowds and the wonderful clear, blue winter sky invite into a picturesque resort in the following days with the first flowers awakening carefully to herald a very special season: the spring. Soon the whole flora of the resort stands in full bloom and it's time for those young couples in love to enjoy the romantic settings the lush gardens provide. A kiss shared in front of Sleeping Beauties Castle will never be forgotten.

 

Schon am nächsten Tag gehen die Feiern übrigens weiter - genauer gesagt die wohl magischste Zeit des Jahres: die Weihnachtszeit, die in DLRP bis Anfang Januar andauert. Kaum ist der Weihnachtsmann mit seinen Rentieren aber wieder abgereist, begrüsst das Disney Village neue, exotische Gäste - Künstler und Akrobaten aus China, die im Rahmen der Disney Chinese Celebration das chinesische Neujahrsfest und die Traditionen ihres Heimatlandes den Gästen näher bringen. Ein chinesisches Feuerwerk darf da natürlich auch nicht fehlen.

Ein geringer Besucherandrang und der wunderschöne klare, blaue Winterhimmel laden in das malerische Resort ein, in dem in den folgenden Tagen die ersten zarten Blumen die nächste Jahreszeit ankündigen: den Frühling. Bald schon steht die gesamte Pflanzenpracht in voller Blüte und überall sind junge Paare zu sehen, die die romantische Stimmung der prächtigen Gärten genießen. Ein Kuss vor dem Dornrösschen Schloß ist einfach unvergesslich.

... to St. Patrick's Day and a Birthday Party,...

 Till the end of March each evening comes to an end with a special highlight when the stars in the sky compete with the millions of lights that form Disney's Fantillusion, teh streetacular the recreates the timeless battle between good and battle right in front of the guests.

During the days the young green of the nature becomes a rival very soon: the green and red that dominates the Irish Festival, which has become an annual event at Disney Village around St. Patrick's Day, the worldwide most important Irish holiday, on the 17th of March dedicated to the Irish patron who banished the snakes from Ireland. For this day the lively Irish music and dance, the center of the festival at the Disney Village, swaps right across the resort for a long night of dancing and partying. As with all the other festivals at the Disney Village not only the daytime guests of the parks and the hotel guests gather to enjoy and party, but also locals from all around the resort, castmembers on their free day and the youth of Paris creating an international, open-minded crowd which is really unique.

Those arriving in the resort for St. Patrick's Day should also give a second thought to arriving one day early to visit the Walt Disney Studios on their birthday, the 16th of March. Even so not yet as popular as the Disneyland Park the second theme park of the Resort, which opened 2002, already won the hearts of fans with its unique style and collection of attractions - so expect quiet some of the fans for some private celebrations in the second park, even if the Resort may organize only a more subtle birthday celebration...

 Bis Ende März steht zudem allabendlich noch ein besonderer Höhepunkt auf dem Programm, wenn die Sterne am Himmel mit dem Glanz von Millionen Lichtern des spektakulären Streetaculars Disney's Fantillusion wetteifern, das den Kampf zwischen Gut und Böse direkt vor den Augen der staunenden Gäste neu inszeniert.

Während des Tages bekommt das zarte Grün der Pflanzenwelt bald Konkurrenz: das kräftige Grün und Rot, das das Irish Festival dominiert. Letzteres wird nämlich jährlich im Disney Village rund um den St. Patrick's Day gefeiert, den weltweit bedeutendsten irischen Feiertag. Mit ihm wird am 17. März dem irischen Schutzheiligen gedacht, der die Schlangen aus Irland vertrieb. Für diesen Tag stehen dann die irische Musik und der irische Tanz nicht nur im Mittelpunkt des Festivals, sondern bereiten dem ganzen Resort eine lange Nacht. Und wie bei allen Festivals im Disney Village, kommen nicht nur die Tages- und die Hotelgäste zusammen, sondern auch die Anwohner des Resorts, Castmember, die gerade frei haben, und natürlich die Jugend von Paris. Das Ergebnis ist ein einmaliges, internationales und sehr offenes Publikum.

Wer zum St. Patrick's Day in das Resort kommt, sollte vielleicht auch darüber nachdenken, einen Tag früher anzureisen, um die Walt Disney Studios an ihrem Geburtstag, dem 16. März, zu besuchen. Auch wenn der zweite Themenpark des Resorts, der 2002 eröffnete, noch nicht so populär wie der Disneyland Park ist, so hat er doch schon die Herzen der Fans mit seiner einmaligen Zusammenstellung an Attraktionen gewonnen - so dass, selbst wenn das Resort nur eine kleine Geburtstagsfeier organisieren sollte, sich sicherlich zahlreiche Fans für ihre private Feier einfinden werden...

 St. Patrick's day seems to be the starting point for an season of parties. Yes, the spring with the sun bringing back the warm air and the flowers blooming is the most romantic season of all, but the next date for a party is already set: the 12th April - which is the birthday of the Disneyland Resort Paris. While going unnoticed to most guests in most years, now and then the birthday is celebrated with a big birthday bash - this is usually in one of those special jubilee years (the resort and the Disneyland Park opened in 1992). Anyway many fans are paying their tribute to the Imagineers who created the Disneyland Resort Paris by visiting the Disneyland Park on this special day, even so maybe no official celebrations are organized.

With the summer closing in the Disneyland Resort Paris sees the premiers of many of it's open air shows while the crowds are still distinguishable lower than in the real high season during the European school breaks only a few weeks away. With the fresh, romantic setting of the spring in retreat a new, unique atmosphere is taking over DLP right now - it's one of great expectations as everyone seems to await the start of the summer for the next day.

After these guests have left again there is just enough time to prepare the celebrations of two national Holidays. First on the 4th of July the American Independence Day, for which the Disney Village prepares annual festivities including special concerts, a large open air party and some extra entertainment program. And second, and a lot bigger, ten days later, when the Disney Village and the Disneyland Park clothes themselves for one day in the colors of red, white and blue, the celebrations of the 14th of July, the French National Day. The French celebrate this day with their international guests in the Disneyland Park and the Disney Village with special live performances, a big dancing party and an extended fireworks display. These two celebrations are the starting signs for the real summer season at the Disneyland Resort Paris.

 St. Patrick's erscheint dabei beinahe wie der Startschuß zu einer ganzen Saison voller Partys. Natürlich ist das Frühjahr, wenn die Sonne die Luft endlich wieder erwärmt und überall sich Blüten öffnen, die romantischste aller Jahreszeiten, doch das Datum für die näcshte Party steht auch schon fest: der 12. April - der Geburtstag des Disneyland Resort Paris. Obwohl in den meisten Jahren viele Gäste ihn gar nicht bemerken, wird er dann und wann mit einer großen Geburtstagsfeier begannen - normalerweise in den runden Jahren (das Resort und der Disneyland Park eröffneten 1992). Doch viele Fans zollen den Imagineers, selbst wenn keine besonderen offiziellen Feierlichkeiten vorgesehen, an diesem Tag mit einem Besuch im Disneyland Park ihren Tribut.

Je näher der Sommer heranrückt, desto mehr Premieren der zahlreichen Open-Air-Shows stehen an und das, obwohl noch deutlich weniger Gäste als in der echten Hochsaison während der europäischen Schulferien wenige Wochen später das Resort bevölkern. Die junge, romantische Stimmung des Frühlings wird derweil durch eine neue, einmalige Atmosphäre ersetzt - voller großer Erwartungen, denn jeder rechnet mit dem Beginn des Sommers für den kommenden Morgen.

Mit fortschreitendem Frühling wird es Zeit zwei ganz besondere Events vorzubereiten: den 4. Juli, den Unabhängigkeitstag der USA, den das Disney Village in jedem Jahr mit speziellen Konzerten, einer Open-Air-Party und einem extra Entertainment-Program begeht, und, noch deutlich aufwendiger, den 14. Juli. Für den französischen Nationalfeiertag werfen sich Disneyland Park und Disney Village ganz in Rot, Weiß und Blau. Gemeinsam mit ihren internationalen Gästen feiern die Franzosen diesen Tag mit einmaligen Shows, Live-Konzerten, einem besonderen Feuerwerk und einer schier endlosen Party sowohl im Disneyland Park als auch im Disney Village. Diese zwei Feiern sind so etwas wie der Startschuss für die endgültige Sommersaison im Disneyland Resort Paris.
