 When the Christmas-Tree has been illuminated and the lights of Disney's Fantillusion have glown away silence is falling onto Central Plaza, the castle and the Main Street U.S.A. - a Cilence of anticipation as the final highlight of the day is only minutes away ...

To the gentle sounds of the classical "Silent Night" the lights all over the castle beginn to twinkle and shimmer and the first shells explode high above in the nightly sky. It's time for the daily "Fire, Frost & Fantasies" Sparkling Christmas Fireworks Display. To a lively and enchanting score of everyones favorite Christmas songs the magicians of Disneyland Paris paint a white and silver picture into the sky.

"Jingle Bells", "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" and "Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!" in new powerfull jazz-arrangements are providing the lively musical background in seasonal style while the silver and white pixie dust not only sparkles in the air but all over the castle illuminated with an synchronized light show. In between the white and silver displays some golden fireworks are adding some suprises power to the show fitting the lively score. While the fireworks display climbs to an astonishing peak for "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" the spectacular in the sky and with it the day at Disneyland Paris comes to a sparkling end topping off all the magical experiences on a softer note with "White Christmas".

In just short over 3 minutes the musical fireworks display takes the guest on a ride through the emotions and wonder of the Christmas celebration - thanks to an outstanding jazz-score that uses seasonal classics everyone connects to a wonderful memory. Paired with this is a fireworks display for sure limited in scope but tailor-made to fit the soundtrack which's styles, rhythms and movements it mirrors, blending perfectly into the atmosphere and continuing the theme of White Christmas - a spectacular not to miss.

 Wenn der Weihnachtsbaum bereits illuminiert ist und die Lichter von Disney's Fantillusion verglüht sind, senkt sich Schweigen über die Central Plaza, das Schloss und die Main Street - ein Schweiger voller Erwartung, ist der letzte Höhepunkt des Tages doch nur Minuten entfernt ...

Zu den sanften Klängen von "Stille Nacht" erstrahlen die Lichter am gesamten Schloss, das glitzert und schimmert wie in einem Traum, und die ersten Raketen explodieren im nächtlichen Himmel. Es ist Zeit für das tägliche "Fire, Frost & Fantasies" Sparkling Weihnachts-Feuerwerk. Begleitet von einem kraftvollen und doch verzaubernden Soundtrack aus den beliebtesten Weihnachtssongs zaubern die Künstler von Disneyland Paris einen Traum in Weiß und Silber in den Himmel.

"Jingle Bells",  "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" und "Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!" in neuen mitreißenden Jazz-Arrangements bilden den schwungvollen musikalischen Hintergrund im Weihnachtsstil, während der weiß-silberne Feenstaub nicht nur den Himmel erstrahlen lässt, sondern auch das Schloss dank einer synchronen Light Show. Zwischen den weißen und silbernen Lichtspielen setzen einzelne goldene Raketen immer wieder passend zur musikalischen Untermalung spritzige Akzente. Nachdem sich das Feuerwerk mit "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" zu einem beeindruckenden Höhepunkt steigert, krönt die Show einen Tag voller zauberhafter Erlebnisse mit "White Christmas"  und einem glitzernden, sanften Finale.

In knapp über 3 Minuten entführt das musikalische Feuerwerk die Gäste in eine weihnachtliche Welt - dank eines herausragenden Jazz-Soundtracks mit bekannten Weihnachtsmelodien, die jeder mit einer besonderen Erinnerung verbindet. Verbunden damit ist ein zwar im Umfang begrenztes Feuerwerk, das aber genau mit der Musik abgestimmt ist und ihren Stil, ihren Rhythmus und ihre Bewegung widerspiegelt, sich dabei perfekt in die Atmosphäre einpasst und das Thema der Weissen Weihnacht vervollständigt - ein Erlebnis, das sie nicht verpassen sollten.

 The perfect viewing spot for the fireworks display is the Central Plaza and some of the surrounding walkways, if you make sure that none of the trees or the giant sculpture blocks your view of the castle. Another great spot is at the top of the Main Street where it devolves into the Central Plaza - this way you will have a view onto castle and into the sky above it with the illuminated sculpture in front of it, which might be even the view with the most magical christmas atmosphere.
If your prefered spot is already taken, the Central Plaza still has plenty of space left, just walk around and look for a place you feel comfortable in - and don't forget: the fireworks takes place above the castle in the sky, so with just a little bit of room between you and the guest in front of you get a good view of the action.
The center of the Main Street offers an acceptable view of the central sculpture and the castle behind it too, but with each step toward the Main Street Railroad Station more of the sky above the castle and further down even the castle itself are blocked by the Lights of Winter arches. Therefor this area can't be recommended for the fireworks display. The Panorama Gallery of the Main Street Railroad Station, offers an elevated view over the crowds and the arches toward the castle, but has an at least partially blockled view in the center due to the large Christmas Tree on the Town Square.
Thanks to smaller crowds a spot worth mentioning is the entrance to Discoveryland.

Just half an hour before the sky above the castle is illuminated the Main Street, Central Plaza and the main walkway of Fantasyland become the stage for Disney's Fantillusion, so crowds are forming early in advance of the parade along the Main Street and the Central Plaza and stay in place for the fireworks display, only stepping onto the street for a better view as soon as the parade has passed. Plenty of guests who watch the parade on Town Square or along the Main Street follow the last float toward the Central Plaza and join the guests already waiting there. In addition guests watching the parade in Fantasyland will move toward Central Plaza too.
So to get the best possible spot to watch the fireworks from Central Plaza either position yourself there in time for Fantillusion or watch the parade on Town Square, head for the Discovery Arcade as soon as the last float has passed you and find your place on Central Plaza. This way you overtake the parade which will still be running on the Main Street and most of the guests who follow it. Even the guests on Central Plaza will still be standing along the street to get the best view of the floats, while you can take the spot with the perfect view of the castle.

There are no special viewing areas reserved for disabled guests so it is recommended to take up a place at the centre of the Central Plaza for Disney's Fantillusion already.

 The Christmas Fireworks Display is presented with its own score, a suite consisting of an medley of some of the worlds most famous holiday classics in jazz style. With the jazz elements the whole score becomes more energetic while at the same time keeping the special christmas atmosphere of the classics - the frequently interwoven english vocals further strengthen the atmosphere and create a bridge between impressiv jazz-singing and seasonal caroler-style for the finale.
The medley is in fact a shortened version of the score of the fireworks display "Stardust Christmas" presented in 1995 at Tokyo Disneyland, which originally run 5:22 and was especially recorded for Tokyo Disneyland. It consisted of new versions of "Silent Night", "Jingle Bells", "Santa Claus is Coming to Town", "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas", "Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!", "White Christmas" and for the finale "We Wish You a Merry Christmas". In addition to some cuts in the duration of the songs Disneyland Paris has added an opening announcement above the "Silent Night"-segment, scrapped the "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas"-segment and has moved the larger part of "White Christmas" to the finale after "We Wish You a Merry Christmas".
While this shortened version created by Disneyland Paris exclusively for their use has not yet been released on any commercial CD the original version from Tokyo is available on the CD "Tokyo Disneyland - Christmas Fantasy 2000" (WDR/AVCW-12177) (the original release from 1996 on "Tokyo Disneyland - Christmas Fantasy", WDR/PCCD-00167, is out of stock) which can be ordered through Amazon.com outside of Japan.

And for the records: the "Fire, Frost & Fantasies" Sparkling Christmas Fireworks in 2001 was not only the first regular fireworks display at the Disneyland Park for the christmas season but also the first regular fireworks display at the Disneyland Park featuring vocals in the soundtrack. The guests loved they idea of topping a christmas day off with a firework which perfectly completed the enchanted atmosphere, so the Disneyland Resort Paris decided to keep the new tradition alive in the following years ... in time for 2002 the fireworks display got some minor enhancements with the addition of some golden fireworks.

Und für die Akten: Das "Fire, Frost & Fantasies" Sparkling Weihnachtsfeuerwerk war 2001 nicht nur das erste tägliche Feuerwerk für die Weihnachtssaison im Disneyland Park sondern auch das erste regelmäßig zu sehende Feuerwerk im Disneyland Park mit Gesang als Bestandteil des Soundtracks. Die Gäste nahmen die Idee, den weihnachtlichen Besuch mit einem Feuerwerk abzuschließen, begeistert aufgenommen, passte es doch hervorragend in die verzauberte Atmosphäre - daher entschloss sich das Disneyland Resort Paris auch, die neue Tradition in den Folgejahren fortzusetzen ... und überarbeitete das Feuerwerk leicht durch die Ergänzung einzelner goldener Raketen für 2002.
