You
own an Opel/Vauxhall Corsa? You still better not try your hand on the
incredible stunts the drivers present with their cars in this show ...
it's not only the skill of the drivers who all have experience with
car-stunts or motor-races that makes a difference here but also the cars.
Well, the black cars do resemble the current Corsa model of Opel /
Vauxhall pretty much but if you look close the story is totally
different. In fact the car just weighs in at 600 kilogramm each (in
comparison the normal Corsa weighs 980 kilogramm) and has a special
gear-system to name just the two significant differences that grant them
their unique mobility. For the same reason, to allow easier handling /
better execution of sudden stops, fast acceleration, sharp turns and all
kinds of extreme movements in every situation, the hero's red car, which
by the way is a concept car, has its engine located not in the front or
rear section but in the car's middle moving the weigth center to the
center of the cart too. Both types of cars, the hero's concept car, and the villains fleet of Corsa-resembling, certainly black cars were engineered especially for the Stunt Show and its special needs by the Opel Design Workshop in Rüsselsheim, Germany - for once a really outstanding contribution of an attraction's sponsor, which is really essential to the show. |
Sie fahren einen Opel/Vauxhall Corsa? Nun, Sie sollten dennoch nicht
versuchen, die unglaublichen Stunts aus dieser Show nachzustellen ...
und nicht nur wegen der besonderen Fähigkeiten der Stuntfahrer, die
alle Erfahrungen im Stunt- oder Motor-Renn-Bereich haben. Nein, denn
auch wenn die schwarzen Wagen dem aktuellen Corsa Modell von Opel /
Vauxhall ähneln, enthüllt ein genauer Blick doch, dass dem nicht
wirklich so ist. So wiegen die Wagen nur je 600 Kilogramm (ein normaler
Corsa bringt immerhin 980 Kilogramm auf die Wage) und haben ein
spezielles Gangschaltungs-System, um nur zwei wichtige Unterschiede zu
nennen, die die Beweglichkeit steigern. Aus dem selben Grund, um das
Handling bei plötzlichen Stops, Beschleunigung, engen Kurven und
extremen Fahrsituationen im allgemeinen zu verbessern, hat der rote
Wagen des Helden, im übrigen ein Konzeptfahrzeug, seinen Motor auch
nicht in Front- oder Heckpartie, sondern im Zentrum des Wagens
installiert, um so den Gewichtsschwerpunkt in die Mitte des Wagens zu
verlagern. Beide Wagentypen, der Konzeptwagen des Helden und die Flotte natürlich schwarzer, dem Corsa ähnelnder Kleinwagen, wurden speziell für die Stunt Show und ihre besonderen Anforderungen vom Opel Design Workshop in Rüsselsheim, Deutschland, entwickelt - eine herausragende Sponsorenleistung, die essentiell für das Gelingen der Show ist. |
