• First information: The Millennium Parade

For the celebration of the Millennium there will be a new, spectacular parade in Disneyland Paris, starting from 12.31.1999. The parade will run throughout the whole next year and will replace the actual parade.

The name of the new parade will "ImageNations" and the floats of this attraction will put everything that was there before into shadows. The floats will will be up to 4 stories high, so high that even the christmas decoration will have to diminished because the floats will otherwise be not able to pass through.

Like the name says, the topic of the new parade will be the different nations of the world with their cultures and their most famous buildings and attractions. The same slogan will be used for the remaining year in DLP.

Each float will represent one of the world's different continents and a Disney character will become a representative for each of the continents.

The floats will be dedicated to the following themes:

Africa: Chip and Dale will take the visitors on to a journey to the country of the "Lion King" and into the realm of the Pharaos.
Asia: This float, with its model of the Great Wall of China will be represented by Minnie.
Europe: Pluto will invite you to a excursion to Europe
Australia: The culture of the Aborigines and the modern Australian continent will be brought to you by Daisy
North America: Goofy wants to carry us to the glittering world of the american metropolises and show us their style of living .... with the time we will see if this will lead us into a chaotic, Goofy-like disaster
South America: Travel with Donald to South and Central America! Who hasn't yet dreamed of this? Here your dream becomes possible!

Disney Village will be transformed into a gigantic dance square up from 5 pm. Several Live concerts will bring you the music of the end of the end of the 20th century. At 11.40 pm the Millennium Countdown starts at Lake Disney. After this overture a 360° fire work will start around the whole Disney Village together with pyrotechnical special effects and the dancing waters of Lake Disney

• Erste Informationen: Die Millennium-Parade

Zur Feier des Millenniums wird es ab dem 31.12.1999 im Disneyland Paris eine neue, spektakuläre Parade geben. Die Parade wird auch das ganze nächste Jahr hindurchlaufen und die aktuelle Parade ersetzen.

Der Name der neuen Parade wird "ImageNations" sein und die Wagen dieser Attraktion werden alles bisher dagewesene in den Schatten stellen! Die Wagen werden eine Höhe von bis zu 4 Stockwerken erreichen, so dass sogar die Weihnachtsdekoration abgebaut werden muss, da die Wagen sonst nicht durchkommen würden.

Wie der Name schon sagt, wird das Thema der Parade wird das Thema die verschiedenen Länder der Welt mit ihrer Kultur und ihren Sehenswürdigkeiten sein. Das gleiche Motto wird auch für das restliche Jahr über im DLP gelten.

Die einzelnen Wagen stellen die verschiedenen Kontinente der Erde dar und repräsentativ werden für jeden Kontinent Disney-Charaktere stehen.

Die einzelnen Wagen werden folgenden Schwerpunkten gewidmet sein:

Afrika: Chip und Dale werden die Besucher mitnehmen auf eine Reise in das Land des Königs der Löwen und in das Reich der Pharaonen....
Asien: Dieser Wagen, mit einem Modell der großen chinesischen Mauer, wird durch Minni dargestellt werden.
Europa: Auf einen Streifzug durch Europa werden wir von Pluto eingeladen werden.
Australien: Die Kultur der Aborigines und der moderne australische Kontinent werden den Gästen von Daisy nähergebracht werden.
Nordamerika: In die Glitzerwelt der amerikanischen Metropolen und das dortige Leben will uns Goofy mitnehmen.... mal sehen, ob das nicht in einer chaotischen Katastrophe endet.
Südamerika: Mit Donald durch Südamerika und Mittelamerika, wer wollte so einen Urlaub nicht schon immer mal machen? Hier wird es möglich!

Das Disney Village wird am 31.12 ab 17 h in eine gigantische Tanzfläche verwandelt. Mehrer Live Konzerte werden die Musik des ausgehenden 20. Jahrhunderts vorführen.

Um 23.40 startet am Lake Disney der Millennium Countdown. Dann folgt ein 360° Feuerwerk rund um das Disney Village mit pyrotechnischen Effekten und den tanzenden Wassern des Lake Disney
