Still all fans should keep in mind that the money raised with this auction will not benefit EuroDisney SCA but the charity "La Voix de l'Enfant" - in other words: there is a good cause for placing a really high bid...
But then high bids can be expected for many of the presented items anyway, as they represent really unique collector items some of which have been among the repeatedely requested items by fans already since 1992, especially the poster of the Visionarium and the MainStreet Railroad Station.

To make the incredible collection of items (or do you already have a Mickey Golf Cart in Your collection?) even more outstanding the resort has added some special items to celebrate the 10th anniversary, which were created especially for the auction, and asked international designers to create complete outfits for modern princesses at the age of 10. While the later are not really Disney items for the DLRP collector they are the exception and for sure anyway will find interested bidders at the auction thereby helping a good cause.

A full description of all the objects (some of which are really unusual e.g. the costumes for "houses" from the Hunchback of Notre Dame Parade of 1997) can't be given here for the sheer number of them - but then this done by the auction catalogue already anyway which is a perfect collectors piece for every fan of the Disneyland Resort Paris which does not only give descriptions of all items but presents them also in lavish full color photos. To allow the guests to prepare for the auction (as only for three hours on the auction day guests will be able to take a personal look at the items) the catalogue is already available in selected shops of the resort or by calling the numbers listed below. This also allows all fans, who may not be able to attend the event in person, to place a proxy bid for their most preferred items by using a form coming with the catalogue.

This is the first event of this kind ever organized by EuroDisney SCA and the first time Disneyana fans in Europe get an opportunity to take their share of the history of the resort home - and hopefully be part of a new tradition, of the start of Disneyana in Europe, a movement which has grown to an overwhelming size in the US with frequent conventions during which attending fans get an opportunity to shop for some parts of the history of the american resorts...

All fans interested in attending the event should note, that the auction, which will be realized by Deauville Auction will not take place in the resort but in Paris at the headquarters of the AXA Group on the 30th of November at 3.00 pm.

 

Dabei sollten Fans immer im Hinterkopf behalten, dass der Erlös der Auktion nicht EuroDisney SCA zu Gute kommt, sondern der gemeinnützigen Vereinigung "La Voix de l'Enfant" - mit anderen Worten: ein guter Grund ein wenig höher zu bieten...
Doch hohe Gebote können für zahlreiche der Objekte ohnehin schon vorausgesagt werden, handelt es sich doch durchweg um einmalige Sammlerstücke, von denen einige, wie die Poster des Visionariums und der MainStreet Railroad Station, schon seit 1992 auf der Wunschliste der Fans standen.

Um die ohnehin schon einmalige Zusammenstellung an Objekten (oder haben Sie schon ein Mickey Golf Cart?) nochmals zu toppen, hat das Resort zusätzlich einige Objekte zur Feier des 10. Geburtstages speziell für die Auktion kreieren lassen und bat internationale Modedesigner, komplette Outfits für eine 10-jährige Prinzessin von heute zu entwerfen. Auch wenn es sich bei letzteren ausnahmsweise nicht um echte Disney Sammlerstücke für den DLRP-Fan handelt, so werden sie doch sicherlich ihren Liebhaber finden und derart die gute Sache unterstützen.

Eine komplette Beschreibung aller Objekte (von einen einige so ungewöhnlich sind wie die Kostüme für "Häuser" in der Glöckner von Notre Dame Parade von 1997) ist hier wegen ihrer großen Zahl nicht möglich - doch wird diese Aufgabe bereits durch den Auktionskatalog erledigt, der bereits ein eigenes Sammlerstück darstellt, bietet er doch nicht nur genaue Beschreibungen aller Objekte sondern präsentiert sie auch noch in durchweg farbigen Abbildungen. Um Gästen die Vorbereitung auf die Auktion zu ermöglichen (können die Objekte doch nur für 3 Stunden am Tag der Auktion besichtigt werden), ist er bereits jetzt in ausgewählten Shops im Resort sowie unter der unten angegebenen Nummer erhältlich. Das ermöglicht es auch Fans, die nicht persönlich an der Auktion teilnehmen können, vorab mittels eines im Katalog befindlichen Formulares via Fax or Post Gebote abzugeben.

Diese Auktion ist das erste derartige Event von EuroDisney SCA und die erste Gelegenheit für Disneyana Fans in Europa, einen Teil der Historie des Resorts mit nach Hause zu nehmen - und damit hoffentlich gleichzeitig der Auftakt einer neuer Tradition, der Start von Disneyana in Europa, einer Bewegung die in den USA, dank regelmäßiger Veranstaltungen mit der Möglichkeit Objekte aus der Geschichte der amerikanischen Resorts zu erwerben, unglaubliche Größen angenommen hat...

Alle Fans, die die Auktion besuchen möchten, sollten beachten, dass die von Deauville Auction durchgeführte Auktion am 30. November um 15.00 Uhr nicht im Resort sondern in der Pariser Zentrale der AXA Gruppe stattfinden wird.
