 The Disney Village is supposed to bring the American Way of Entertainment to Disneyland Paris - and what is more American than the legends of the Wild Wild West?

To take guests back to the frontiers of the west Buffalo Bill and his cowboys, indians, sharp shooters and rough riders have settled into the Village where they present the dinner show Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show daily. But to add to the atmosphere of the streets they also venture out of their arena right into the crowds with the Cavalcade de Buffalo Bill, or as the parade is called since 2002: The Buffalo Bill Legend Parade / La Parade de la Légende de Buffalo Bill.

Accompanied by a rousing, symphonic score in the best tradition of western movie soundtracks Buffalo Bill himself leads his troup on a horse parade through the Village. Following directly behind him are the beautifull Miss Annie Oakley and the legendary Chief Sitting Bull. While Buffalo Bill and his cowboys sit atop their beautiful elegant horses, the indians of Chief Sitting Bull, including their medicine man, have opted for smaller and very powerful looking checkered horses. At a slow pace they make their way, the beauty of the horses and the authentic, colorful look of the riders waving their flags and hats being at the core of this small parade.

The riders neither present any tricks nor do they get into any interaction with the guests besides waving and smiling. So if you are around the Village when the parade is coming up or if you have some extra time left, stop by and take a look at the great costumes and the wonderful horses mastered perfectly by these riders who are caring lovingly for their horses. If you miss them you can actually see all the riders in real stunning action later in the evening in the highly recommended dinner show. Still it is a unique chance to get very close to a real cowboy or indian - closer than in the show (if you are not one of the few chosen to take part in the action). While especially children may love this, adults can enjoy it too!

Um die Gäste zurück in diese Zeit zu transportieren, hat sich Buffalo Bill mit seinen Cowboys, Indianern, Kunstschützen und Rodereitern im Village niedergelassen, wo sie die Dinnershow Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show präsentieren. Mit der Cavalcade de Buffalo Bill (oder wie sie seit 2002 heißt: The Buffalo Bill Legend Parade / La Parade de la Légende de Buffalo Bill) bringen sie nun die Wildwest-Atmosphäre auch auf die Straßen des Village.

Begleitet von einem breiten, symphonischen Score in der Tradition der besten Western-Soundtracks führt Buffalo Bill selbst die Pferdeparade seiner Truppe durch das Village an. Direkt hinter ihm folgen die bildhübsche Miss Annie Oakley und der legendäre Chief Sitting Bull. Während Buffalo Bill und seine Cowboys hoch auf ihren eleganten Rössern sitzen, haben die Indianer, unter ihnen auch ein Medizinmann, kleinere, kraftvolle gescheckte Pferde gezähmt. In gemächlichem Tempo reiten sie durch das Village - die Eleganz der Tiere und die authentischen, farbenprächtigen Kostüme der Reiter, die mit ihren großen Fahnen und Hüte den Gästen zuwinken, sind das Herz dieser kleinen Parade.

Die Reiter präsentieren dabei weder Kunststücke noch interagieren sie mit den Gästen. Wenn Sie also in der Nähe sind, wenn die Parade ansteht, oder etwas Zeit haben, genießen Sie den Anblick der Kostüme und der wunderbaren Pferde, die von ihren Reitern, die sich auch liebevoll um sie kümmern, perfekt beherrscht werden. Wer die Parade verpasst, kann richtig beeindruckende Kunststücke der Reiter noch in der Dinnershow erleben. Die Parade aber ist eine einmalige Chance richtig nah an echte Cowboys oder Indianer heranzukommen - näher als in der Show (falls man nicht zur Teilnahme ausgewählt wird). Besonders Kinder suchen diesen nahen Kontakt, aber auch Erwachsenen macht das richtig Spaß!

 The cavalcade enters the Disney Village next to the Gaumont Cinema. The parade route, which is roped off by Castmembers well in advance, then leads down all the way to the Lake Disney and back, as the riders exit the Disney Village through the same gate they also entered through. This way you can catch the parade twice or step to the front line for the return of the riders as most guests leave as soon as the cavalcade has passed once.

Usually the left side of the parade route (seen as entering the Disney Village from the Disneyland Hotel) is more crowded while right in front of the cinema on the opposite site of the parade route nearly noone stands. If you want to position yourself on that side of the roped off corridor be sure to cross the parade route well before the calvacade starts.

A bird's view onto the riders is offered from the open stairway of the Planet Hollywood or the upper levels of Billy Bob's Country & Western Saloon. From there you may enjoy the cavalcade while having a snack or drink and sitting behind the windows.

 The Cavalcade de Buffalo Bill was listed in the entertainment program of the Disney Village for the first time in July and August 2001 as an element of the entertainment schedule but has actually been performed on and off without prior announcement during the summer months since 1992 mostly to promote the Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show and not so much as entertainment in its own right. Since 2001 the parade returns officially daily in the months of July and August, but since 2002 under the a bit bulky name ""La Parade de la Légende de Buffalo Bill" / "Buffalo Bill Legend Parade".

The symphonic western style soundtrack used for the parade is actually taken from the show's soundtrack which has been composed George Fenton and was available on a CD from Walt Disney Records France / Sony Music France in the first years.
