Tips for "Winnie the Pooh and Friends, too"

Guests should arrive 15 to 10 minutes prior to the show time to occupy their seat - usually it is not necessary to arrive earlier. But if you or a member of your party wants to rest a bit prior to the show it is important to know, that differing from the policy in the other theaters of the Disneyland Park, the seating area is not roped off prior to the show. This means: you can arrive as early as you want and look for the best seat and occupy it.
As the height difference between the rows isn't that big families with younger children prefer the front rows. If these are already taken the benchs right next to the aisles are best, especially if you take the seats where the child can look down the aisles to the stage. Keep in mind that the theater is also the only place to watch the daily parades while seated. This means: if a parade is scheduled shortly before the show guests are likely to occupy the best seats already prior to the parade and keep seated till the show starts. While, if the parade is scheduled shortly after the show, you can keep seated and enjoy the parade too. If you are looking for a good seat for the parade, you will have to take on of the benches directly at the parade route (which passes through inbetween the stage and the auditorium) or the second and third row (where you can stand up on the bench to get a good view of the parade).
Note that castmembers rope off the audience area once the show is about to beginn and will allow guests into the auditorium only if there are seats left which can be accessed without passing in front of already seated guests, so arrive on time. If you arrive late or all seats are already taken, you can watch the show standing at the ropes behind the audience area to it's left - but this very far away and to the left of the stage - or you position yourself on the top of the director's cabine behind the audience, which offers a perfect view for videotaping or photographing the show too (again: no seats available).

During the show Christopher Robbin invites to guests onto the stage to take part in the fun and is looking for Eeyores tail which is hidden in the audience. If you want to take an active part in any of these two segements make sure to be seated in the front rows, preferable in the middle section.

As the Castle Stage / Le Théâtre du Château is an open air theater choosing the right performance on a given day may be a bit difficult - but when trying to find the best show time for your visit it is important to know that the audience area offers no shade (or cover) so on hot days it is best to choose a late date, when the sun has set or is placed behind the walls of Fantasyland. These shows also have the advantage that the detailed lighting of the action becomes far more visible than during the day, when the sun illuminates the stage too. On not so hot days earlier performances have the advantage that the sun warms the audience as it is reflected off the concrete floor. The position of the sun / the time is also important when choosing your seat at the selected performance as it can stand behind the sets shining directly into the face of the audience and therefor hindering the view at certain times of the day / year.

Note that no strollers are allowed in the audience area during the show. So if you take your stroller with you when getting seated very early before the show starts you will be asked to move the stroller to the stroller parking areas which are located behind the audience once the castmembers arrive to rope off the theater for the performance.

Specials about "Winnie the Pooh and Friends, too"

From the long list of toe-tapping, catchy songs by the Sherman Bros. used in the show only one has been released so far by the resort in the version used in the show's soundtrack: "Forever and Ever" a duet played during the exit of the characters at the end of the show. While the song is a wonderful declaration of ever lasting friendship - a great ballade - it is not really incorporated into the show. For those interested in this wonderful song anyway, and it is worth it, it can be found on the CD "10 - L'Album Anniversaire" and runs 4:11. But all fans of the show still have to wait for a complete soundtrack...
