 This major daytime parade premiered in 1998 as a part of the "Year of the Disney Classics" and carried (except for the Christmas-season) it's guests daily away into the world of the animated Disney classics which spring to life here till it closed on the 11th of May 2003. Only from the 31st of December 1999 till mid of March 2001 the parade was replaced by Disney's ImagiNations Parade.
In the year 2002, the parade got a special make-over for the 10th anniversary of the Disneyland Resort Paris, with a new, updated soundtrack and a new choreography.

As soon as the first tones of the themesong "Dancin' (A Catchy Rhythm)" sound through the park the magic it works is just as fresh and captivating as on the first day of the parade... It invites the guests to celebrate the classics feature length animated Disney magic and 10 years of making this magic become real in Paris. The most beloved and successful animated features have been chosen and are brought to life with a large cast of dancers, characters and last but not least detailed floats...

In fact the mood of all guests brightens up even before the first float comes into sight - thanks to that theme song of the parade which floats to the guests from further up the parade route - the up-beat, really very catchy "Dancin' (A Catchy Rhythm)", which has been written (by Vasile Sirli and Jay Smith) especially for the parade and underscores all of it. It is really no unusual sight to see not only the dancers accompanying every float in detailed, colorful costumes dancing along to that tune but also the guests lining the streets!

But now it is finally time for the parade to arrive - and it is opened with a really  outstanding float, not only because it is in an old steamboat all in black and white but also because it features Mickey and Minnie. As some Disney-fans will immediately notice this is the real life version of the first animated Disney short with sound, named "Steamboat Willie" (1928). Even so it didn't really fit into the theme of the parade in 1998 (when 60-years of feature length animated movies were celebrated) it was and is a magical opening.

Once "Dancin' (A Catchy Rhythm)" has played once the parade stops and the dancers venture out to the guests to choose children to join them in some dance and fun with the characters from the float - an unforgettable moment! This is happening to the latest song written for Disneyland Paris: the Birthday Song "10 Years of Magic" which combines a wonderful ballade style meldoy with a dance/pop-style refrain (which didn't stop Disney from shortening the song in June 2002 to get the parade to move a bit faster and cut waiting time for those further down the parade route).
Once the birthday song has stopped all the children return to the sidelines and the parade continues on its way down the Main Street, U.S.A., till the theme song is coming to a close once more and with the birthday song its time for the next stop. But by then the first float has passed the guest already...

The color and magic of fairy tales arrives in full swing as soon as the parade carries on and a set of beautifull princess and handsome princes waltz onto the scene with two floats added in 2001 that are well known from the original Disney Parade (running at DLP from 1992 to 1996) and Mickey's Nutcracker Parade: first of the two is Cinderella and her prince in the famous glass-coach formed like a pumpkin pulled by 6 of the most colorful horses that seem to fly above the clouds.
The second of the two royal love pairs makes an even more dramatic entry as Prince Phillip and Sleeping Beauty are standing on the edge of a rock high above the ground fighting off Malefice as she has transformed herself into a fire breathing dragon behind them (an awful astonishing sight!).

Not yet set up is the tent and the stage for the next star of the parade - the circus is coming to the town! But don't worry, the little circus train pulled by Casey Junior with Dumbo throning on it's top is a lot of fun already - not only to watch but also to join as the clowns surrounding the animals in their cages are not only looking for some victims but also some helpers...

From this lavish stages it is only a short step onto the roofs of London, the enxt float, where Mary Poppins and their friends, a large cast of chimney sweepers, dance and jump as if they were standing down on the ground and not high up (Mary Poppins is no pure animated feature but it's classic status just made it impossible to exclude it).

Thanks to the Disney magic the journey continues deep under the sea where Sebastian conducts his underwater ballet while Ariel sits savely above in a large shell over her towering the giant Triton, so that Urusla can't do any harm from beneath where she looms on this very colorful float. Back on the safe shores pastry chefs are looking for the help of the guests as they need to add the finishing touch to the gigantic cake on top of which the beautiful Belle stands turning to the music on the hand of the bigger than life Beast from Beauty and the Beast.

Another one of the Disney-love-couples is waiting in the arabian streets that are filled with beautiful ladies behind their veils and merchants doing magical tricks - not really in the streets more above them as Jasmine and Aladdin are gliding on their flying carpet high above Agraba  - but not high enough to be out of the range of Jafar who has transformed himself into a gigantic snake...

Each of the sections of the parade carries the gazing audience away into another fantastic world out of the magical imagination of Walt Disney and his animators. The large, detailled floats catch the eye with the lovingly recreation of characters and scenes from the movies when they glide down the parade route and start to turn and move. But the large casts in their fantastic costumes presenting a fitting choreographys are a marvel on their own, too.

It must be said, that the collection of floats may vary from day to day and especially in the offseason not all movies will be represented. But then this does not diminish the magic at all which carries the guest away into their own world of dreams and fantasies and let them truly relieve their fondest Disney memories ... especially in 2002 / early 2003 when that extra birthday magic was woven every day - and the interaction is for the youngest guests not only a sight on video their parents will show them at home, but a unique experience they will cherish for years to come.

With this parade guests are really stepping into the world of the animated features that become alive right in front of them through a powerfull soundtrack, a dedicated cast of dancers and unsurpassed floats, that offer new views every time. In other, shorter words: this parade is a must, which noone should miss!

 Diese große Parade feierte 1998 im Rahmen des "Year of the Disney Classics" ihre Premiere und entführte (außerhalb der Weihnachtssaison) bis zum 11. Mai 2003 ihre Gäste täglich in die Welt der animierten Disney Klassiker, die hier ganz real werden. Lediglich vom 31. Dezember 1999 bis Mitte März 2001 hatte die Parade Disney's ImagiNations Parade den Platz räumen müssen.
Für das Jahr 2002, wurde die Parade zur Feier des 10. Geburtstages des Disneyland Resort Paris überarbeitet - indem Choreographie und Soundtrack aufgefrischt wurden.

Sowie die ersten Töne des Paradensongs "Dancin' (A Catchy Rhythm)" erklingen, ist eine Magie am Werk, die noch so frisch wie am ersten Tag ist ... und die Gäste werden eingeladen den Zauber der Zeichentrickfilme aus dem Hause Disney noch einmal zu erleben und 10 Jahre Disney-Zauber in Paris zu feiern. Die erfolgreichsten und beliebtesten Filme wurden ausgewählt und werden durch Tänzer und nicht zuletzt große Prunkwagen zum Leben erweckt...

Tatsächlich steigert sich die Freude aller Gäste schon bevor die Parade eintrifft gerade wegen des Songs der Parade, der weithin der Parade voraus durch den Park schallt - das fröhliche, wirklich eingängige "Dancin' (A Catchy Rhythm)", das (von Vasile Sirli und Jay Smith) speziell für die Parade geschrieben wurde und sie komplett untermalt. Es ist wirklich ungewöhnlich, dass nicht nur die Tänzer, die jeden Wagen in passenden, farbenprächtigen Kostümen begleiten, sondern auch die Gäste entlang der Wege mittanzen!

Aber nun ist es wirklich Zeit, dass die Parade eintrifft - eröffnet wird sie von einem einmaligen Wagen. Und einmalig ist er nicht nur, weil er ganz in Schwarz-Weiß gehalten ist, sondern auch weil es sich um ein altes Dampfschiff handelt, von dem aus Mickey und Minnie den Gästen zu winken. Bekannt ist diese Szene aus dem ersten animierten Tonfilm, "Steamboat Wille" (1928). Selbst wenn der Wagen nicht zu dem ursprünglichen Thema der Parade passte (1998 feierte man 60-Jahre abendfüllender Disney-Zeichentrick), war und ist er doch eine zauberhafter Auftakt.

Wenn "Dancin' (A Catchy Rhythm)" verklungen ist, stoppt die Parade und die Tänzer suchen unter den Gästen Kindern, die mit ihnen und den Charakteren von den Wagen einen Tanz und einen unvergesslichen Moment erleben wollen! Untermalt wird dieses Geschehen vom neuesten Song aus dem Disneyland Paris: dem Geburtstagssong "10 Years of Magic", der eine wunderbare balladen-artige Melodie mit einem Refrain im Dance/Pop-Stil verbindet (der allerdings im Juni 2002 gekürzt wurde, um die Wartezeit auf die Parade für Gäste am Ende der Strecke zu kürzen).
Ist der Geburtstagssong dann zu Ende, kehren die Kinder wieder zu ihrem Ausgangspunkt zurück und die Parade setzt ihren Weg die Main Street, U.S.A. hinunter fort, bis der Themesong ein weiteres mal gespielt ist und es Zeit für den nächsten Stop wird. Bis dahin ist dann aber der erste Wagen schon längst am Gast vorbeigezogen...

Doch schon trumpft die Farbenpracht der Märchenwelten auf: wunderschöne Prinzessinnen und Prinzen erscheinen im Walzertakt vor zwei 2001 eingefügten Wagen, die aus der original Disney Parade (die 1992 bis 1996 in DLP zu sehen war) und Mickey's Nutcracker Parade bekannt sind: den Anfang machen Cinderella und ihr Prinz in der berühmten gläsernen Kürbiskutsche gezogen von 6 farbenprächtigen Rössern, die über Wolken zu schweben scheinen.
Das zweite königliche Liebespaar hat einen vielleicht weniger majestätischen, aber dafür umso dramatischeren Auftritt, stehen doch Prinz Phillip und Dornrösschen an der Kante des felens über dem Abgrund, verwickelt in den Kampf mit Malefiz, die sich in einen Feuer speienden Drachen verwandelt hat (ein einmaliger Anblick!).

Noch nicht aufgebaut sind hingegen  Zelt und Bühne für den nächsten Star - denn der Zirkus kommt! Aber keine Angst, der kleine Zug, den Casey Junior mit Dumbo auf seinem Dach zieht, verspricht auch viel Spaß - nicht nur beim Zusehen, denn die Clowns, die mit den Tieren in den Käfigen reisen, suchen neben Opfer auch Helfer... 

Von diesen prachtvollen Bühnen ist es nur ein kleiner Sprung weiter auf die Dächer Londons, auf denen Mary Poppins und ihre Freunde die Schornsteinfeger springen und tanzen, als hätten sie festen Boden unter ihren Füßen (Mary Poppins ist zwar kein reiner Zeichentrickfilm doch seine Popularität machte es unmöglich, ihn zu übergehen).

Dank der besonderen Disney Magie geht die Reise tief unten im Meer weiter, wo Sebastian ein Unterwasserballet dirigiert, während Arielle von ihrem Logenplatz in einer Muschel aus unter den wachsamen Blicken des überlebensgroßen Triton alles beobachtet - auch Ursula kann ihr nichts anhaben, die am Fuße des farbenfrohen Wagens lauert. Zurück auf dem sicheren Land erwarten Bäcker die Gäste, die ihre Hilfe brauchen, um die letzten Feinheiten an dem gigantischen Kuchen anzubringen, auf dem die bildhübsche Belle sich an der Hand des Biests zu der Musik aus Die Schöne und das Biest dreht.

Ein weiteres Disney-Liebenspaar wartet in den arabischen Gassen hinter Schleiertänzerinnen und den Straßenhändlern mit ihren Tricks - eigentlich weniger in als über den Strassen, gleiten Jasmine und Aladdin doch auf dem fliegenden Teppich hoch über Agraba - aber nicht hoch genug, um außerhalb der Reichweite Jafars zu sein, der sich in  eine riesige Schlange verwandelt hat...

Jeder der Abschnitte der Parade trägt das staunende Publikum in eine andere phantastische Welt aus der Imagination Walt Disneys und seiner Zeichner. Die großen, detailreichen Prunkwagen fesseln die Blicke auf sich, wie sie liebevoll Szenen der Filme und ihre Charaktere zum Leben erwecken, wenn sie vorüber entlang gleiten, sich drehen und bewegen. Doch auch die zahlreichen Tänzer in abwechslungsreichen Kostümen, die eine muntere Choreographie bieten, sind bestaunenswert.

Erwähnt werden muß noch, dass die Zusammenstellung der Parade von Tag zu Tag variieren kann und gerade in der Nebensaison nicht unbedingt alle Filme vertreten sind, was dem Zauber aber keinen Abbruch tut. Ganz besonders nicht 2002 / Anfang 2003, als der Extra-Zauber des Geburtstages täglich hinzukam - und die Interaktion ist für die jüngsten Gäste nicht nur etwas, das ihnen ihre Eltern noch lange auf Video zeigen werden, sondern ein einmaliges Erlebnis, das sie noch viele Jahre in Erinnerung behalten.

Diese Parade lässt die Gäste wirklich in die Welt der Zeichentrickfilme treten, die direkt vor den Augen des Publikums wahr werden dank eines perfekten Soundtracks, engagierten Tänzern und unübertroffenen Prunkwagen, die immer wieder neue Ansichten bieten. In knappen Worten: diese Parade ist ein Muss, das man auf keinen Fall verpassen sollte.

 Don't worry if it takes longer than you expect till the parade comes in sight - this is due to the stops the parade makes for the birthday celebration.

No matter where you want to watch the parade, depending on how crowded the park is, you should show up 15 to 30 minutes in advance. The only place to watch the parade while sitting is at the Castle Stage, but these seats (which are really cold in the winter) are occupied very long in advance. But what about combining a great dinner or lunch with a good view out of the warmth? Both is provided on the first floor of Walt's on the Main Street, U.S.A. but Castmembers won't be able to guarantee you a window-seat in advance.

Most guests line up along the Main Street, U.S.A. and Central Plaza for the unique sight of the parade with the castle as backdrop, while it is by far less crowded in Fantasyland in front of and opposite of the Pizzeria Bella Notte. There are also four points from where to get an "on the top"-view of the parade: right in front of the queuing area of It's A Small World, the balcony on top of the director's booth behind the seats of the Castle Stage, the pavilion at Town Square and finally the Main Street Station of the railroad (usually the most crowded of this four places that expecially the photographers like).

 Since its premiere in 1998 this parade, which the audience loved in all its different incarnations has seen quiet some changes...

When the parade originally premiered it was not only a parade moving past the guests but, similar to the version of 2002 right now, also invited them to step into the magic thanks to interactive stops. While it's catchy themesong by Vasile Sirli and Jay Smith played the parade would move forward but as soon as it had played once (which took 4:03 minutes) the parade would stop and an especially composed instrumental soundtrack would play at each float based on musical cues from the movie the float was based on. The cast of the parade would then start into a stunning choreography into which young guests would be invited to join. So kids were chosen to join the dancers making a film in front of the steamboat, danced under the seas, were baking pastry with Belle and doing many more fantastic things...The difference of the interaction for each float was way more elaborate than in 2002 as it involved quiet some requisites.
But then these stops (and with them the instrumental score) were scrapped in the fall of 1998 already and only returned occassionaly in 1999. When the parade officially returned as daily parade in 2001 (after performing in a shortened version as a stand-in for Disney's ImagiNations Parade during 2000 in case of bad weather) the stops had been taken out of the parade all together and instead the parade moved continuously underscored by a loop of its themesong.
Therefor the cartoonish oldtimer with Goofy, Donald, Pluto and Chip'n'Dale on board playing the themesong of the parade and entertaining the guests while they waited for the "real" parade that drove in front of the first float had been taken out of service, too. Interestingly it did not return in 2002 when the stops were reintroduced - but has been put in use to ferry characters around Main Street, U.S.A. But why were the stops reintroduced in 2002 at all? Well, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the resort and theme park with a special parade...
Therefore the parade was opened by a true piece of (eye) candy - a giant birthday cake with 10 candles to celebrate the 10th anniversary. On this cake one lucky child was seated, that had been chosen as birthday child of the day. Once "Dancin' (A Catchy Rhythm)" had played once the parade stoped and thanks to some magic the candles on the birthday cake flickered one last time before their flames died so that a special wish was granted to all the guest. That one came true for those young guests who were chosen by the dancers accompanying every float to join them in some dance and fun with the characters from the float. As a special surprise the child on the birthday cake float then ordered the dancers surrounding its float, wearing fantastic, elegant uniforms of chefs, and the children from the audience to hand out candy to all the guests lining the street!
Unfortunately the anniversary edition of the parade was only presented from early March till the 29th of September 2002. Afterwards the anniversary float was taken out of service - but the stops and with them the anniversary song remains till today, even so the free candy has gone with the cake float.

But these aren't the only changes the parade underwent: the spot occupied since 2001 by Cinderella's pumpkin coach and a float featuring Malefic as a gigantic fire breathing dragon originally featured the three most beautiful classic Disney Princess, Snow White, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty, together with their princes on a grand staircase that was the most impressive of all floats in the parade by it's sheer size and luxury.
In addition several complete sections of the parade were cut out, thereby abandoning the original concept of the parade, which took guests on a journey from 1928 with Steamboat Willie to 1998 with Hercules, at the time of the premier of the parade the latest Disney feature.
Behind the princess' float a huge wooden stage followend on which Pinocchio and his fellow marionettes danced hold up by the large hands of Gepetto. Also featured were Peter Pan and his boys, chased by Captain Hook and his pirates in their small boats darting across the street chased themselfes by the hungry crocodile which thereby saves the guests from this danger.
Between Pinocchio and Peter Pan the parade made originally in 1998 a foray into the world of circus with the little circus train Casey Junior and Dumbo as guests still can see in todays version. But this highlight had to be taken out of the parade in 2001 as it was used, after some remodeling, as the center-piece of the then new daily Disney's Toon Circus.
Other floats originally included in the parade were the ruins of a temple deep in the jungle, where Mowgli and his friends from The Jungle Book danced and joked around (from the original 1992 Disney Parade), an astonishing pyramide of african animals celebrating the Circle of Life from the Lion King (from the Lion King Festival 1994) and as the final section of the parade a float based on the animated Disney feature Hercules - with the hero riding through the sky on the back of his winged horse Pegasus from the Hercules Happening 1997...

In it's original version the parade featured one of the most striking soundtracks ever composed for a parade - it consisted of an instrumental score for each float (running about 90 seconds) and the theme-song "Dancin' (A Catchy Rhythm)" (by Vasile Sirli and Jay Smith, performed by Sue Ann Carwell and Joey Diggs), which is really very catchy (as the title suggests) and has been a favorite not only of the DLP-guests as it has even been exported to the EPCOT Center at WDW for a mini parade (the complete soundtrack is available on the CDs "Les Parades en Musique" (edition 1998 & 2000), the themesong and two of the 12 instrumental tracks are available on the CD "Une Journee a Disneyland Paris", the themesong and one instrumental track is available on the CD "L'Album Anniversaire - 10 Disneyland Paris" while the themesong is also available on the single CD "La Parade du monde Merveilleux Disney" from DLP). Both the themesong and the instrumental scores have been composed especially for the parade (even so the themesong since August 2000 was also used for the Mickey's Toon Time Parade). The score is based on songs of the chosen animated feature that have been interwoven and rearranged to become a very powerful, energetic new piece of music that nonetheless still obviously based on the original movie soundtrack. The energetic wide recording of the Budapest Pop Orchestra is contributing a lot to this effect. The change from the repeating themesong to the symphonic score and back gave the whole parade an additional structure that drew the guests even deeper into the magical world so that very soon they joined the chorus and clapped their hands...
With the introduction of the new birthday song as soundtrack for the reinstated stops in 2002 the continuous loop of the parade's theme song was broken up adding to the whole musical experience thanks to the diversity. The success of this is not only partially due to the wonderful new song "10 Years of Magic" by Peter Lurye which combines the classic Disney-style ballad, catchy lyrics in English and French and especially a dancable modern second theme, that is fitting in well and takes the whole parade experience to reach out to the musical taste of today's youth without ignoring the "classic" guests. A task that is mastered beautifully - a judgment that will easily prevail even at home (the song is available on the CD "L'Album Anniversaire - 10 Disneyland Paris").

Would you have known...
The gigantic staircase that  was used as the float for the Disney Princess when the parade premiered in 1998 was the biggest float ever constructed for Disneyland Paris - and even so the floats of the Disney's ImagiNations Parade were taller, none of them was as long as the staircase!
And: the Wonderful World of Disney Parade brought for the first time ever worldwide all three classical Disney Princess (and their princes) together on one single float!

Bei der ursprünglichen Premiere bot die Parade nicht nur die Möglichkeit, die Welt der Disney Filme zu bestaunen, sondern, ähnlich wie 2002, dank interaktiver Stops selbst ein Teil dieser zu werden. Der eingängige Themesong von Vasile Sirli und Jay Smith spielte während die Parade sich vorwärts bewegte, doch stoppte diese, sowie der Song einmal gespielt war (dies dauert 4:03 Minuten). Stattdessen setzte dann ein speziell für jeden Wagen komponierter instrumentaler Score basierend auf den musikalischen Themen des jeweiligen Filmes ein, zu dem sich dann eine beeindruckende Choreographie entwickelte, an der sich die jüngeren Gäste aktiv beteiligen konnten. So wurden Kinder ausgewählt um vor dem Dampfschiff einen Film zu drehen, mit Belle Kuchen zu backen und viele andere phantastische Dinge zu tun... Dabei war der Unterschied zwischen den Einlagen bei den einzelnen Wagen deutlich ausgearbeiteter als 2002, wurden damals doch auch viele Requisiten eingesetzt.
Allerdings wurden diese Stops (und mit ihnen der Instrumentalscore) im Herbst 1998 leider erstmals eingestellt und kehrten nur gelegentlich in der Saison 1999 zurück. Bei der Wiederaufnahme der Parade 2001 (nachdem sie 2000 nur bei schlechtem Wetter als Ersatz für Disney's ImagiNations Parade in einer gekürzten Fassung einsprang) schließlich wurden die Stops endgültig gestrichen - die Parade lief nun ohne Unterbrechung untermalt nur durch den Themesong.
Daher war auch der vor dem ersten Abschnitt der Parade fahrende Oldtimer mit Goofy, Donald, Pluto sowie A- und B-Hörnchen an Bord, die mit dem Song der Parade unterhielten, bis diese in Sicht kam, nicht mehr dabei. Interessanter weise kehrte der Wagen auch 2002 nicht zurück, als die Stops wieder eingefügt wurden - stattdessen wird er nun als Transportwagen für Charaktere auf der Main Street, U.S.A. eingesetzt. Grund für die Wiedereinführung der Stops 2002 waren die Feierlichkeiten zum 10-jährigen Jubiläum des Resorts und Parks, zu denen auch eine Geburtstagsparade gehörte...
Daher wurde die Parade von einem echten (Augen) Schmauß eröffnet - von einem gigantischen Geburtstagskuchen mit 10 Kerzen. Auf dieser Torte saß ein Kind, das als Geburtstagskind des Tages ausgewählt wurde. Wenn "Dancin' (A Catchy Rhythm)", verklungen war, stoppte die Parade und auf magische Weise erloschen die Kerze der Geburtstagstorte, damit ein Wunsch für alle Gäste in Erfüllung gehen konnte, spezieller: für die jüngeren Gästen, die von den Tänzern ausgewählt wurden, um mit ihnen und den Charakteren von den Wagen einen Tanz und einen unvergesslichen Moment zu erleben. Als besondere Überraschung verteilten die Tänzer rund um den Geburtstagswagen mit Hilfe der Kinder Süßigkeiten an alle Gäste entlang der Wege!
Leider aber lief diese Geburtstagsausgabe der Parade nur von März bis zum 29. September 2002. Dann wurde der Geburtstagswagen wieder entfernt - die Stops und mit Ihnen der Geburtstagssong allerdings können bis heute noch erlebt werden, lediglich die Süßigkeiten werden nicht mehr verteilt.

Doch sind dies nicht die einzigen Änderungen: der seit 2001 von Cinderellas Kürbis-Kutsche und einem Wagen mit Malefiz als riesigem, Feuer speienden Drachen besetzte Platz in der Parade gehörte zuvor einer gigantischen Prunktreppe, auf der die drei klassischen Disney Prinzessinnen, Schneewittchen, Cinderella und Dornröschen, und ihre Prinzen tanzten - der größte und durch seinen Glanz beeindruckendste Wagen der Parade.
Zudem wurden verschiedene Sektionen der Parade gestrichen und somit das ursprüngliche Konzept der Parade aufgegeben, die die Gäste auf eine Zeitreise von 1928 mit Steamboat bis 1998 mit Herkules, dem zum Zeitpunkt der Premiere der Parade aktuellen Disney Zeichentrickfilm, entführte.
So folgte direkt hinter dem Wagen der Prinzessinnen eine gigantische Holzbühne, auf der Pinocchio gemeinsam mit anderen Marionetten, gehalten von den Händen Gepettos, tanzte. Außerdem dabei waren Peter Pan und seine Bande, verfolgt von Kapitän Hook und seinen Piraten, die in ihren kleinen Booten kreuz und quer schossen, immer verfolgt von dem hungrigen Krokodil, das so die Gäste vor dem schlimmsten bewahrte.
Zwischen Pinocchio und Peter Pan erlebten die Gäste 1998 einen Ausflug in die Welt des Zirkus mit Casey Junior und Dumbo, wie auch jetzt wieder zu bestaunen. 2001 musste dieser Höhepunkt aber ausfallen, da der Zug, nach einigen Veränderungen, als Mittelpunkt der 2001 neuen täglichen Disney's Toon Circus Parade diente.
Weitere Prunkwagen der ursprünglichen Fassung der Parade waren ein halb überwucherter Tempel, in dem Mowgli und seine Freunde aus dem Dschungelbuch tanzten und alberten (aus der original 1992 Disney Parade), eine beeindruckende Pyramide aus den Tieren des afrikanischen Kontinents, die den ewigen Kreis des Lebens aus dem König der Löwen beschworen (aus dem Lion King Festival 1994), und zum Finale der Parade ein Wagen für Herkules - dessen Held auf dem Rücken seines geflügelten Pegasus über der Erde schwebte aus dem Herkules Happening 1997...

In der ursprünglichen Variante verfügte diese Parade über den wohl beeindruckendsten Soundtrack, der bis dato für eine Parade komponiert wurde - bestehend aus ca. 90 Sekunden langen Instrumentalstücken für jeden Wagen und dem Themesong "Dancin' (A Catchy Rhythm)" (von Vasile Sirli und Jay Smith, interpretiert von Sue Ann Carwell und Joey Diggs), der wirklich eingängig ist und so zu einem Favoriten der DLP-Gäste wurde - und mittlerweile sogar in das EPCOT Center in WDW für eine dortige Mini-Parade exportiert wurde (der komplette Soundtrack ist erhältlich auf den CDs "Les Parades en Musique" (Edition 1998 & 2000), der Themesong und 2 der 12 Instrumentalstücke auf der CD "Une Journee a Disneyland Paris", der Themesong und ein Instrumentalstück auf der CD "L'Album Anniversaire - 10 Disneyland Paris" und nur der Themesong schließlich auf der CD-Single "La Parade du monde Merveilleux Disney" von DLP). Sowohl der Themesong als auch der Score wurden speziell für die Parade komponiert (allerdings wurde der Song ab August 2000 auch für Mickey's Toon Time Parade eingesetzt). Die Instrumentalstücke basieren dabei auf den Songs der ausgewählten Zeichentrickfilme, die zu einem Medley verbunden und neu arrangiert wurden, so dass ein neues, sehr kraftvolles Musikstück entstand, das aber nie seine Wurzeln verheimlicht. Die sehr schwungvolle und volle Aufnahme durch das Budapest Pop Orchestra trägt zu der Wirkung das Ihre bei. Der Wechsel der Instrumentalstücke und des Songs verlieh dabei der Parade eine zusätzliche Struktur, die half die Gäste noch tiefer in die Welt der Magie zu entführen - ein Zauber dem sich so gut wie niemand entziehen konnte. So wurde dann schnell in den Refrain eingestimmt und der Takt mitgeklatscht.
Mit der Einführung des neuen Geburtstagssongs in den Soundtrack für die 2002 wieder eingefügten Stops wurde die endlose Wiederholung des Themesongs unterbrochen und so das musikalische Erlebnis deutlich aufregender, weil abwechslungsreicher gestaltet. Der Erfolg dieses Schrittes ist nicht zu einem kleinen Teil dem wunderbaren "10 Years of Magic" von Peter Lurye  zuzuschreiben, der die klassische Disney-Ballade, eingängige Texte und vor allem ein spritziges, modernes zweites Thema geschickt verbindet. Das passt hervorragend und transportiert die Parade in die Gegenwart, in dem auch der Musikgeschmack der jugendlichen Gäste getroffen wird, ohne den klassischen Gast zu ignorieren. Eine kleine Meisterleistung - und diese Wertung bleibt auch zu Hause beim Genuss des Songs bestehen (der Song ist auf der CD "L'Album Anniversaire - 10 Disneyland Paris" erhältlich).

Hätten Sie es gewusst...
Die gigantische Prunktreppe, die als Wagen für die Disney Prinzessinnen diente, als die Parade Premiere feierte, ist der größte Paradenwagen, der je für Disneyland Paris gebaut wurde - zwar waren die Wagen aus Disney's ImagiNations Parade höher, doch nicht so lang!
Und: In der Wonderful World of Disney Parade waren weltweit erstmals alle drei klassischen Disney Prinzessinen (und ihre Prinzen) auf einem Wagen einer Parade vereint!
