 The lucky guests of the evening are already welcomed in the Fantasia Gardens by numerous artists who are entertaining the guests before they entering into the enchanted Christmas world that Main Street, U.S.A., has been transformed into. Stepping out under the Railroad Station with its winter decorations, guests are welcomed a second time - by the Christmas Carollers who have set themselves up in the small gazebo at the feet of the giant Christmas tree that is towering over all of Main Street with its millions of lights twinkling. What could be more romantic than sitting down in the cold, clear night on Town Square, listen to the incredible voices performing the most beloved Christmas classics and letting the eye enjoy the decorated Christmas tree and the artists breathing fire in the other corner of the plaza?

Maybe the atmosphere further down the Main Street! All the lights illuminate the festive decorated facades of the small town shops but what really catches they are the giant arches stretching over the street from side to side - the Lights of Winter. In the tradition of Italian Christmas-illuminations they bath the whole street in a magical light of colors, especially this night as all the laterns along the street have been turned off so that the small lights forming the patterns on the arches seem to be even brighter. At the end of this tunnel of light, once past even more artists, jugglers and magicians, a christmas choir belts out from the stage in the center of Central Plaza an rousing mix of Christmas and Disney Classics in front of the backdrop of the illuminated Castle of Sleeping Beauty.

But before you step into the castle you better turn around so that you don't miss the guest of honour: Father Christmas glides down the Main Street on his majestic sleigh pulled by real reindeer. When he circles Central Plaza, what about joining the parade of guests forming behind his sleigh? He will lead you to the Castel Stage where deep in the snow covered forests his workshop is hidden ... while he won't be able to grant you a look inside, as there is still so much to do, he sure has the time, to pose with you for a souvenir photo, in his sleigh right in the center of the forest! After your visit to this place of holiday magic it is time to return to the Central Plaza, where the Christmas choir just finishes another set, before the the principal guests of the night announce the arrival: the royal couples of Disney!

After the trumpet fanfare the gates at Town Square swing open and accompanied by the symphonic music the first of the numerous horse drawn carriages enters - from it Mickey and Minnie in their most splendid ever costumes as prince and princess wave to the guests standing along the streets as their carriage moves to the castle, where they step off to join their friends Donald, Goofy, Pluto and many more who walked in front of the carriage together with children.
All the other royal couples and the friends from their movies, who followed in a never ending parade of carriages behind Mickey and Minnie down the Main Street, join them on the street circling Central Plaza ... once all of them have found their spot the attention moves to the castle, where the hosts of the evening finally appear: Belle and the Beast. It is time for the first dance of the night!

In a gentle waltz the Beast turns Belle around and around, while the royal couples and their friends glide in waltzing circles around the Central Plaza lined by guests - but too soon this magical picture from a fairytale come true has to end and all the princes and princesses join Belle and the Beast in front of the castle to invite the guests to follow them into the heart of the magic - the illuminated Fantasyland.

It's time for maybe the toughest decision of the night now ... do you want to stay back and enjoy the atmosphere of the Main Street a bit longer, as the Christmas choir, the Christmas Carollers and the artists and jugglers continue to entertain ... or do you want to take a daring step out of the Christmas atmosphere into the future that never was of Discoveryland, maybe not so much to enjoy one of the attractions operating here, but to meet Belle and the Beast again as they join the dancers on the stage of the Videopolis as they waltz in their festive costumes which would even stand out in a true princess ball in every fairytale while the Christmas choir entertains the onlooking guests during the short brakes of the dance ... or do you finally want to take a look at the heart of the magic in Fantasyland? As the entertainment on the Main Street and in the Videopolis continues till midnight, now is the perfect time to walk through the castle...

On the other side a festive illuminated Fantasyland awaits you - the flickering lights of candles and the girlandes around the picturesque buildings guide your way to the attractions - where you can step into the adventures of Snow White, Pinocchio or Peter Pan. Once you have returned from your flight to Neverland, don't forget to take a look inside the Fantasy Festival Stage, where Disney Characters are waiting for you. But the true heart of the night glows and shimmers in Belle's Christmas Village. The lights shimmer behind the small windows of the huts bowing under their snow ladden roofs, and the town folks who stepped right of the animated classic have opened all their shops. So take a stroll down the main street of this small village, past the Old Mill, which is strand over and over with light bulbs, to the village's library or Gaston's Inn, lower your had to pass under the small doors, glimpse into the shops with their overburding displays - you will feel as if you stepped right into a fairytale with the smell of roasted nuts in the cold air and the twickling lights at the buildings.

Nobody is hurrying you in this world, where the pace seems a bit slower, the air a bit cleaner and the whole world so magic ... just as in It's A Small World Celebrations behind the bright illuminated facade behind the next corner of the street where you can go on a cruise around the world to meet the children celebrating their favorite festival of the year - Christmas!

Just before midnight Belle and the Beast have asked their guests to join them again in front of the castle for the "Farwell Procession of the Royal Couples". The Christmas choir on the stage, which looks like a drum, has been joined by two solist, who lead the choir into a rousing live performance to bid farewell to each and every of the royal couples by performing their love theme for the animated classic, before the prince and the princess come on stage, share a last kiss, wave goodbye and step down out onto the Central Plaza to enjoy the procedure with the next royal couples ... Mickey and Minnie, Sleeping Beauty and her Prince, Mary Poppins and Bert, Jasmine and Aladdin ... everything goes as planned but then suddenly the clock strickes twelve and out of the castle rushes Cinderella, in her despair she doesn't notice that she follows the road of circeling the Central Plaza and suddenly ends up on the stage, but already her prince with glass slipers in hands steps up to her rescue and they can join the other royal couples to climb into the huge horse drawn carriage that takes them down the Main Street and back home into the world of Disney dreams - but not before the fans had a last chance to kiss their princess or prince of dream a last time goodybe...

This would be a magical ending for a fairytale night but Belle and Beast winking goodbye from the gates of the castle won't throw their other guests out of the park ... they are invited to stay till two o'clock in the morning to enjoy the atmosphere of this fairytale Christmas in Fantasyland between the small buildings or on the Main Street, U.S.A., under the arches of the Lights of Winter ... or to step into the future that never was at Discoveryland where the really young atr heart are invited to party the night away with pop and techno tunes on the giant dance floor of the Videopolis that has been set up in the meantime.

 

Nun, vielleicht die Atmosphäre auf der übrigen Main Street! Die festlich dekorierten Fassaden der Kleinstadtgeschäfte strahlen hier um die Wette mit den riesigen Bögen, die sich über die gesamte Straße wölben - die Lights of Winter. In bester italienischer Tradition der Weihnachts-Illumination baden sie die gesamte Straße in ein farbenprächtiges Lichtermeer, besonders da die Laternen entlang der Wege abgeschaltet sind, so dass die kleinen Lichter, die die Bögen formen, noch gleißender wirken. Am Ende des Lichtertunnels erwartet den Gast bereits ein Weihnachtschor, der von der Bühne im Zentrum der Central Plaza aus mit einem Programm aus Weihnachts- und Disneyklassikern unterhält.

Doch bevor die Schritte den Gast weiterführen, zum prächtig illuminierten Schloss, ist es Zeit den Ehrengast des Abends zu begrüßen: in seinem majestätischen Schlitten gezogen von echten Rentieren gleitet der Weihnachtsmann vorbei an der Central Plaza - das ist die Gelegenheit sich in die Parade der Gäste hinter ihm einzureihen, führt er die Gäste doch zur Castel Stage, die sich in einen tief verschneiten Wald verwandelt hat, tief in dem auch die Werkstatt des Weihnachtsmannes liegt. Ein Besuch dieser ist zwar nicht möglich - dort wird noch schwer gearbeitet - doch posiert er gerne für ein Souvenirphoto in seinem Schlitten in mitten der Winterwelt! Nun ist es auch schon wieder Zeit, zur Central Plaza zurückzukehren, denn es ist Zeit für die Ankunft der letzten Gäste des Abends: der königlichen Disney Paare!

Nach der Trompetenfanfare schwingen die Tore auf und begleitet von symphonischer Musik rollt die erste der Pferdekutschen in die Main Street - an Bord Mickey und Minnie in ihrem edelsten Kostüm als Prinz und Prinzessin, die den Gästen auf der Fahrt zum Schloss zuwinken. Dort steigen sie ab und gesellen sich auf der Straße rund um die Central Plaza zu Donald, Goofy, Pluto und vielen anderen ihrer Freunde, die gemeinsam mit den Kindern vor der Kutsche liefen.
Auch all die übrigen königlichen Paare und ihre Freunde aus den Filmen, die in einer nicht enden wollenden Kutschenparade Mickey und Minnie folgen, verlassen ihre Kutschen vor dem Schloss, so dass schon bald die Central Plaza umgeben ist von Prinzen und Prinzessinen. Da treten auch schon die Gastgeber des Abends aus dem Schloss, Belle und das Biest, und es ist Zeit für den ersten Tanz des Abends.

Sanft dreht das Biest Belle im Kreise auf der Brücke vor dem Schloss, während die königlichen Paare und ihre Freunde im Walzer rund um die Central Plaza schweben - doch zu bald löst sich dieses magische Bild aus einem wahrgewordenen Märchen auf und alle Paare schreiten zu Belle und dem Biest, um gemeinsam die übrigen Gäste einzuladen, ihnen durch das Schloss, in das Herz der Magie zu folgen - das illuminierte Fantasyland.

Damit ist es Zeit für die wahrscheinlich schwerste Entscheidung des Abends ... soll man auf der Main Street verweilen, um die Atmosphäre hier weiter zu genießen, unterhalten durch den Weihnachts Chor, die Christmas Carollers und die Gaukler ... oder soll man einen mutigen Schritt aus der Weihnachtswelt in die Zukunft die nie War des Discoveryland wagen, vielleicht nicht so sehr, um eine der Attraktionen dort zu erleben, sondern um die Schöne und das Biest wieder zu treffen, wie sie sich zu den Tänzern auf der Bühne des Videopolis gesellen, die in ihren wahrlich fabelhaften Kostümen im Walzertakt über die Bühne wirbeln, während der Weihnachts Chor in den Pausen für Kurzweil sorgt ... oder soll man vielleicht doch einen Blick in das Fantasyland werfen, dauert das Programm auf der Main Street und im Videopolis doch noch bis Mitternacht...

Auf der anderen Seite des Schlosses findet sich der Gast in einem festlich illuminierten Fantasyland wieder - die flackernden Kerzen und Girlanden an den malerischen Gebäuden weisen die Gäste zu den Attraktionen - in die Welt von Schneewittchen, Pinocchio oder Peter Pan. Nach dem Flug ins Nimmerland, sollte man übrigens einen Blick in die Fantasy Festival Stage werfen, wo Disney Charaktere die Gäste erwarten. Doch das wahre Herz des Abends glüht und schimmert in Belle's Weihnachts Dorf. Lichter glänzen hier hinter den Fenstern der kleine, windschiefen Gebäude, deren Dächer unter der schweren Schneelast ächzen - die Dorfbewohner direkt aus dem animierten Klassiker haben sogar ihre Geschäfte geöffnet, so dass nichts einem romantischen Spaziergang vorbei an den überbordenden Auslagen unterhalb der über und über mit Lichterketten behangenen Old Mill im Wege steht, vorbei an der Buchhandlung und Gaston's Kneipe. Der Geruch der heißen Maronen, die kalte Luft und die glitzernden Lichter der Gebäude lassen das Gefühl aufkommen, als wäre man direkt in ein Wintermärchen gelangt.

Hier ist niemand in Hetze, hier scheint alles ein wenig gemächlicher, die Luft noch reiner und die Welt so verzaubert ... wie in It's A Small World Celebrations hinter der nächsten Wegbiegung, das zur Kreuzfahrt rund um die Welt zu den schönsten Feiern der Kinder einlädt.

Kurz vor Mitternacht haben Belle und das Biest dann ihre Gäste wieder vor das Schloss zur "Farewell Procession of the Royal Couples" geladen. Auf der Bühne, die einer Trommel ähnelt, haben sich zu dem Weihnachtschor dafür noch zwei Solisten gesellt, die den Chor durch eine aufbrausende Livedarbietung führen, um sich von jedem der königlichen Paare zu verabschieden, indem sie den Liebessong jedes Paares darbieten, bevor diese auf die Bühne kommen, einen Kuss austauschen und sich dann verabschieden und von der Straße rund um die Central Plaza aus die Zeremonie verfolgen ... Mickey und Minnie, Dornrösschen und ihr Prinz, Mary Poppins und Bert, Jasmin und Aladdin ... alles läuft wie geplant, bis plötzlich die Uhr Zwölf schlägt und Cinderella aus dem Schloss stürmt, doch in ihrer Verzweiflung bemerkt sie nicht, dass sie der Straße folgend den Platz nur umrundet und schließlich auf die Bühne gelangt - doch schon kommt ihr Prinz ihr zu Hilfe, den gläsernen Schuh in seinen Händen und die beiden können mit den übrigen königlichen Paaren die große Pferdekutsche besteigen, die sie die Main Street hinunter, zurück in die Welt der Disney Träume bringt, allerdings bevor die Gäste nicht Gelegenheit gehabt hätten sich von ihrem Prinzen oder ihrer Prinzessin mit einem Kuss zu verabschieden...

Ein zauberhaftes Ende für eine märchenhaften Abend - doch die Schöne und das Biest, die vom Schloss aus sich winkend verabschieden, werfen ihre übrigen Gäste nicht einfach aus dem Park ... sie sind vielmehr geladen bis zwei Uhr am Morgen noch die Atmosphäre dieses Weihnachtstraums zwischen den kleinen Gebäuden des Fantasyland und unter den Light of Winter Bögen auf der Main Street zu genießen ... oder im Discoveryland Abenteuer einer nie gewesenen Zukunft zu erleben und zu Pop- und Techno-Musik auf der gigantischen Tanzfläche im Videopolis eine wilde Party zu feiern.
