The dream of a white Christmas comes true all along the Main Street,
starting on Town Square with a giant Christmas tree amid a winter forest
- but on Central Plaza the magic of the season and the magic of Mickey
and his friends come together in a unique way, right in the heart of the park, in
front of the Castle
guests will discover that mother nature got a bit help with decorating
the firs - from Mickey and his friends,
who must have strolled into this magically, snow covered world and decided to prepare
the firs circeling the stage in the center of the plaza for their private Christmas party complete with presents.
A real eye-catcher is the Christmas-tree
decorated by Goofy with an assortment of stars and photos. But it
wouldn't be Goofy and his Christmas-tree if there wouldn't be something
a little bit unusual - or did you ever see a tree growing up side down? When the nightfalls and each step on the snow makes that unique sound of crumbling snow flakes in a magical way all the forest is illuminated in a blue light with the lights of the trees glimmering and shining as guiding lights. It is also now that guests stream to the forest to observe the tree lightning ceremony, during which the giant christmas tree on Town Square (down Main Sureet) is illuminated through the power of dreams of a child chosen among the guests by Santa and his helpers, who take it to the magic fairy tale book on the stage in the center of the plaza. To enjoy this ceremony best make sure to have a good view down Main Street and onto the stage in the plaza's center. But as soon as the little show featuring Santa, Mickey and their helpers is over magical silence falls over the area again, only punctuated by the happy laughter of guests discovering what Mickey and friends created here. With the illuminated castle on one and the Lights of Winter Arches on the other end of the plaza a truly magical experience - with not too few colorfull and funny elements (thanks Goofy!) ... but then this fits the joyous celebrations just as well. |
Der Traum einer weißen Weihnacht wird auf der gesamten Main
Street war und erlebt mit dem gigantischen Weihnachtsbaum im Town Square
einen furiosen Auftakt - findet aber auf der Central Plaza auch einen
einmaligen Abschluss im Herzen des Parks, vor
dem Schloss.
Denn hier können die Gäste entdecken, dass Mutter Natur etwas
Unterstützung hatte, als sie die Tannen rund um die Plaza mit Schnee dekorierte
- von Mickey und seinen Freunden, die hier alles für ihre Weihnachtsparty samt Geschenken und
Weihnachtsbäumen vorbereitet haben...
Ein echter Hingucker ist dabei der Weihnachtsbaum, den Goofy mit einer abenteuerlichen Zusammenstellung an Sternen dekoriert hat. Aber es wäre nicht Goofy und sein Weihnachtsbaum, wenn es da nicht noch eine Besonderheit gäbe - oder haben Sie schon einmal einen Weihnachtsbaum auf dem Kopf stehen gesehen? Mickey und Minnie haben einen anderen Baum als Ausdruck ihrer Liebe dekoriert - mit einem großen Stern samt Mäuseohren als Krönung! Selbst Pluto hat hier seinen eigenen Baum, über und über behängt mit Ornamenten und Bilderrahmen aus Knochen, so dass man sich fragen muss, wie lange dieser Schmuck überlebt, zieht Pluto erst in seine neue Hundhütte neben dem Baum. Natürlich wollte da auch Donald nicht zurückstehen, und hat sein Händchen am Dekorieren eines Baumes versucht - aber mit seinem bekannt kurzen Geduldsfaden? Das schauen Sie sich besser selbst an! Übrigens: nicht nur Gäste besuchen gerne diesen magischen Ort, sondern auch die Disney Charaktere - mit etwas Glück können sie sie treffen. Wenn die Dämmerung hereinbricht und jeder Schritt auf dem Schnee knirscht, wird der Wald auf magische Weise in blauem Licht illuminiert und die glitzernden Lichter der Bäume weisen den Weg. Dies ist auch die Zeit, zu der die Gäste auf den Platz strömen, um die Zeremonie zur Beleuchtung des Weihnachtsbaumes auf dem Town Square zu erleben. Dazu wird von Santas Helfern ein Kind ausgewählt, dass auf der Central Plaza dann die Bühne erklimmen darf, um mit der Kraft seiner Träume und der Hilfe des magischen Märchenbuches den Baum am anderen Ende der Main Street erstrahlen zu lassen. Um diese Zeremonie ideal genießen zu können, sollten sie einen freien Blick sowohl die Main Street hinunter als auch auf die Bühne in der Mitte des Platzes haben. Sowie die Zeremonie mit dem Weihnachtsmann, Mickey und ihren Helfern vorüber ist, breitet sich wieder magische Ruhe aus, unterbrochen nur gelegentlich von glücklichen Lachen ob der Kreationen von Mickey und seinen Freunden. Mit dem angestrahlten Schloss an einem und den leuchtenden Lights of Winter Arches am anderen Ende der Plaza ein wahrhaft zauberhafter Ort - mit nicht zu wenigen bunten und amüsanten Akzenten (danke Goofy!) ... doch auch das passt hervorragend in die freudige Weihnachtszeit. |

The Character Christmas Trees
appeared the first time as part of the lager Magical Christmas Tree Forest
in the Christmas-season 2001/02, with a huge forest element taking the
center space of Central Plaza, housing a walk through display of Bambi
and his friends in the depths of the forest. But as of 2002 this spot
was needed for a stage, so only the characters' christmas trees return
now - with a slight change: instead of Chip'n'Dale Donald now decorates
one of the trees.

Die Character Christmas Trees erschienen auf magische Weise erstmals in
der Weihnachtssaison 2001/02 als Teil des größeren Verzauberten
Weihnachtswaldes, bei dem das Zentrum des Platzes von einem großen
begehbaren Waldelement belegt war, in dem Bambi und seine Freunde sich
vergnügten. Doch da dieser Platz seit 2002 für eine Bühne benötigt
wird, sind nunmehr nur noch die Weihnachtsbäume der Charaktere zu
bewundern - mit einer kleinen Änderungen: an Stelle von A- und
B-Hörnchen darf nun Donald einen der Bäume dekorieren.
