in ausführlichen Texten vorgestellt. Dabei liegt der Schwerpunkt des mit zahlreichen
Photos, Zeichnungen, Skizzen und Cells aus den Archiven illustrierten Werkes
aber eher auf den Cartoons und Zeichentrickfilmen. Damit richtet es sich in
erster Linie an die Freunde dieser. Im letzten (leider zu knappen) Kapitel
kommen dann aber auch die Fans der Disney Themenparks auf ihre Kosten. Das
ausführlich Buch bietet einen einmaligen Überblick über das Werk Disneys und
seine Entwicklung durch die Walt Disney Company. Vorsicht: die Taschenbuchausgabe von 1999 wurde bis einschließlich "Fantasia 2000" fortgeschrieben, während die gebundene Ausgabe seit 1995 unverändert blieb. |

of Walt's earliest ideas to the 1997 newest plans. Lots of photos and drawings
are what the usual buyer of this book will see as it's treasured core. But
there are also very detailed sketches and especially texts, which are partly
too detailed and sometimes a bit too complicated for fans without architectural
or technical knowledge. Still this doesn't change the final judgment on the
book: a must for all who want to see the details of the concept and not just
learn the philosophy. |
Sehr ausführliches Buch über das Design der Themenparks, von den Ursprüngen
der frühesten Entwürfe Walts bis hin zu den 1997 neuesten Planungen. Viele
Fotos und Zeichnungen bilden den hochgeschätzten Kern für die Mehrzahl der
Käufer. Doch bietet das Werk auch sehr detailliert, auch etwas zu detaillierte
Entwürfe und Texte, die teilweise sehr tief in die Materie einsteigen und
ohne architektonische oder technische Bildung zu kompliziert werden können.
Trotzdem aber ist das Werk ein Muß für alle, die die Details der Konzepte
kennen lernen wollen und nicht nur die Philosophie der Parks. |
