Smart Dining Offer

Thursday, March 3rd, 2011

Even during the slower weeks of the year – as currently – the peak demand in the restaurants of both theme parks can result in comparable long lines at the fast food locations and full occupancy in the buffet restaurants. To counter this effect the resort has tested a special incentive at selected counter service (aka fast food) locations in both of its theme parks as well as in one buffet location in each theme park: a 20% discount on all meals and drinks (excluding alcoholic beverages) if guests dine prior to noon or between 2:30 pm and 6: 00 pm.

While the discount is available to all guests advance presentation of the discount flyer is required at the restaurant.  However, the flyers can be found in each and every free entertainment program available at the entrances to both parks, at guest relations, Studio Services, City Hall and from various information points and cast members in the parks. As the program has been running for a bit already chances are good it will be available for a bit longer – so don’t forget to pick up your free entertainment program when entering the parks! (more…)

From one (food) frontier to the next

But these chili sandwiches sure are a high-flying bunch … it seems one frontier is not enough for them so they have boarded the rockets to push the frontiers of food in the deep space as well.

Ok – what this means is: the hot chili sandwichs have also been added to the menu at the Rocket Cafe in Discoveryland. This snack location is placed behind Space Mountain, opposite of Star Tours, Star Traders and Captain EO.

New Frontiers of Food

One of the most popular snacks in Disneyland parks around the world is Popcorn. Following the trend set in particular by the Disney parks in Japan and the US Disneyland Paris is for a while now already experimenting with unique popcorn flavors. The latest addition is the “Gingerbread” flavor available at the popcorn cart located next to the Lucky Nugget Lane in Thunder Mesa – i.e. in Frontierland, between the fort at the land’s main entrance and the riverboat landing. Just a few steps further along the shores of the Rivers of the Far West into the opposite direction another culinary surprise awaits guests… (more…)

AP Holders a.k.a. the early birds of Toy Story Playland

Tuesday, August 24th, 2010

As reported the all new Toy Story Playland has proven extremly popular with guests since it opened in the past week – unfortunately resulting in longer waiting lines for its three attractions. Taking into account this and the success of the exclusive previews of the area prior to its official opening for holders of the Annual Passport Dream the resort has decided to grant all holders of Annual Passports of the resort the unique opportunity to enjoy the Toy Story Playland once again exclusively!

Well, to be correct not just once – but DAILY from August 25 till September 17, 2010! Every day in this period Toy Story Playland opens for holders of Annual Passports from 8:30 till 9:30 am so that AP holders can enjoy the area uncrowded and hop on all three rides (which are scheduled to be operating unless an unexpected technical problem might occur) without the now regular long lines.
