The vertical construction of the future World of Disney Store at the Disney Village is making fast progress. At the end of February only the very first concrete walls for a part of the backwall were visible. But as of yesterday the exterior walls had exceeded the ground level and went up to the first floor on the backside (toward the Gaumont cinema complex), as well as on the sides facing toward the Walt Disney Studios and the side toward the main “road” of the Disney Village.
Solely the side facing toward the Fantasia Gardens / the Disneyland Hotel remains open. However, so far the vertical construction is limited to the exterior walls. The future interior of the shop is still wide open, missing any walls or other structures to support the upper floors.
The fences surrounding the site are still lacking any reference (or advertising) that the construction is for the upcoming World of Disney Story. Instead posters for the game arcade found next to the IMAX at the current “backside” of the Disney Village next to the Disney Village parking structure is advertised.
