Behind that huge scaffolding surrounding Sleeping Beauty Castle more is going on that must a simple cleaning and repainting. The workers are also conducting extensive repair and “reconstruction” work. One of the areas this can be spotted rather well are the ornate stone railings on the castle grounds. So what is going on there?
It can be seen in the two photos in this post: in a first step the railing is coverd thick in a plaster like material. Once that material has had the opportunity to infiltrate / fill in any potential gaps, breaks or cracks the whole railing is polished so to get rid of the excess material and give it back its original smooth look.
