The countdown to the official opening of the Toy Story Playland as latest addition to the Walt Disney Studios Park is starting to race faster and faster with less than a month to go before the big moment when guests will shrink down to the size of toys. With every day closer to August 17, the official opening dates, hopes are growing among fans that the resort may conduct unanounced soft openings. However, at this time the area is still under the control of Imagineering and awaits the hand over to the park’s operational team which would be the ones that might organize the soft openings. Now thanks to Facebook new information has come to the light as on the event pages of Facebook … <drum roll please> …Â a Cast Member Preview of Toy Story Playland event has been added!
 According to the information on Facebook the preview will take place on August 11 in the morning (as the meeting point for cast member is stated to be in front of the Imagination building at 9:45 am) and should feature the opportunity to try out all three new attractions of the area.
However, it should be noted that the event is strictly for cast members only. Even confirming attendance for the event on the Facebook event page will NOT grant access to the preview for guests of the resorts. Furthermore, it is worth noting, that official information regarding such cast member previews is communicated through the various internal information media of the resort. The information on Facebook was added by a cast member in a private function. So unfortunately there is no guarantee that the information released on Facebook is correct and that it will be updated in case of short notice changes, which can always happen during the pre-opening phase.
Nevertheless, if the cast member previews are conducted as stated on the Facebook page further soft openings in the following days might be more probable as well…
