Time for Main Street News (updated)

With the countdown to the official start of the summer officially finished since yesterday most (if not all) rehab projects of spring should have come to a closure as well. On Main Street, U.S.A. the scaffolding covering the complete Disney Clothiers building came down nearly two weeks ago and by now – if everything went as scheduled – the scaffolding at Town Square Photography should have come down as well which it unfortunately still has not done on Monday July 5. But on to change for which we actually have a photo…

In time for the official beginning of the “New Generation Festival” at Disneyland Paris past April decorations went up on the balcony of the Main Street Station facing toward the Disneyland Hotel, making sure that each and every guest enterin the park knows about this year’s celebration.

Featured in the decoration where large, three dimensional figurines of Mickey, Buzz and Woody placed smack center. Off to the left in the first segment Tiana and her frog (from The Princess and the Frog) were placed on the balcony and even further off to the left in the second segment a small figurine of Remy from Rattatoui was placed on the balustrade.

The result looked rather odd with a group of figurines in the center, two lonely figurines to the left and nothing on the right. Accordingly rumores flared up whether maybe additional figurines might be added at a later time. By now it has become obvious that this will not happen. Instead lately they figurines have been regrouped with Tiana and Remy now joining Mickey, Woody and Buzz in the central segment – as can be seen in the before / after photos.
