Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show seems to continue to struggle to fill the vast arena on a nearly daily bases in the Disney Village. Despite having added “Mickey and friends” last year and the boosted advertising all throughout the resort special offers are popping up more and more often.
After special rates for cast members now a special rate for guests of the parks has been set up. As small DIN-A-4 “posters” in the windows of the ticket counters inform guests they can save up to 20 EUR with their theme park passport when buying tickets for the Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show for the same day – a considerable savings that might upset quite a few Disney Hotel guests who are remainded to book tickets for the dinner show already when making their reservations for a Disney package.
Buffalo Bill’s Wild West dinner show has been presented nearly daily in the custom built arena in the Disney Village since the opening of the resort in 1992. While there were rumors about a potential replacement in 2000/1 (mentioning a potential Zorro theme for a follow-up show) the show was only tweaked over the years – so maybe it is time for a replacement to attract return visits from return guests of the resort ? What do YOU think?

I’ve been to DLP several times (mostly on one-day visits from Paris). I saw BBWS only once so far and really liked it: Its good value for money and a lot of fun if you are ready to follow the animators. I’d see it a second time for sure, as I liked the food and the show – the animators though could have used a bit more understandable english to grab all the jokes. But after all: DLP should keep it, but maybe alter the show (e.g. show more buffalos and stunt-riding scenes – Yeeha!
We love the BBS. We visited over the years 7 times. It was always great.
Adding Mickey Mouse to the Show was not a good idea!
But the food tastes very good and the show as if I already said wonderful.
Hope they will not close it
I love this show too. I’ve seen it twice now and will see it again during my next trip in august. Personaly I think adding the Disney characters is fun and very subtile. The food is great and the atmosphere in the arena fantastic. Maybe it’s time for a new show, but before they replace it, I would love to see this great Disney dinner show a few times more ;-)
help, we want to book, we are staying at the resort at the begining of August, so do we do wait to save or spend more money now to book, if we wait we might not be able to get seats, even though it a good show ( seen it before mikey and friends joined ) its still quite expensive for a family of four, just under £200.00 for the second type of seats, we are looking forward to our trip to DLP this year.
@legin: better to book in advance when coming during summer season. As the show doesn’t run every day, it might be that it is sold out during your stay (3yrs ago – we arrived on a Wednesday in August to stay 4 days, show was closed on Wed and Thur, Fri+Sat was fully booked :((
