Just one respectively two days ago we summed up the rumors regarding the entertainment offerings at the Disneyland Park and at the Walt Disney Studios Park coming to the conclusion that the range might be rather limited despite the “New Generation Festival” starting in April – in particular since one announced happening in the studios, “Monsters Inc. Scream Academy”, is rumored to have been cancelled prior to its premier (despite its cast having already been assigned) and the fact that it is still not confirmed whether the rumored show “Disney Showtime Spectacular” (replacing “It’s Party Time … with Mickey and Friends” on the Central Plaza Stage) in the Disneyland Park will be performed multiple times throughout the day or just once in the evening. However, now we learned that TODAY an open casting is conducted by Disneyland Paris for an all new show in a dance studio in Pantin!

According to the casting call published online by the resort the show will be called “L’Incroyable Rendez-Vous” and seems to be a part of the “New Generation Festival” starting in April. The casting call goes out to (male and female) dancers with lots of energy, a strong personality, very good jazz dance technique as well as the ability to perform in a comedy show. No word about the any characters involved in the show, the story or style of the show – even so obviously some jazz style dancing can be expected. Also no word whether the show will go into the Disneyland Park or the Walt Disney Studios Park. However, the contracts offered start at February 19th and run til the end of September 2010 (covering the rehearsals as well as the actual show performances).

Rumors so far hadn’t mentioned any show with the title “L’Incroyable Rendez-Vous” at all, indicating either that the entertainment department managed to keep it under the cover very well or came up with it only very, very recently. So one could interpret it in the way that the resort has realized that the entertainment offerings as they would have stood so far (again: based on rumors) would have been a bit too far on the thin / light side and is now starting to move into high gear to solve the issue.

UPDATE (02/04, 11:40 pm): Thanks to everyone who pointed out in the comments that “L’Incroyable Rendez-Vous” is the French title of the “Disney Showtime Spectacular”. We are sorry that we had missed this information prior. However, this means that the show is not a new addition to the line-up for 2010 but the already known (and confirmed) replacement for “It’s Party Time … with Mickey and Friends” on the stage on Central Plaza in the Disneyland Park. It is surprising that a new casting call has been conducted for the show, since the casting call for “It’s Party Time … with Mickey and Friends” last fall had mentioned the cast would receive one year contracts, which basically put them into place for the replacement show as well.
