There were times, when the American Movie and TV Industry had its first heyday, when Television and Movie Studios were more than just soulless accumulations of plain buildings made of corrugated iron, when they had a style and architecture that partly influenced an era.
It is no secret that Imagineering at Disneyland Paris tried to revive these times with some of the beautiful buildings like the ones in Frontlot or the Disney Channel building.
But it is much more of a secret, that WDI had a more subtle plan behind that.
DLP.info is proud to now reveal it!
After showing the days and times of prosperity, when the great Stars dandered around the production buildings, the Walt Disney Studios Paris will now also present the times of the decay to its guests!
A start was made with the recent renovation work at the Disney Channel building, which was covered with scaffolding for quite some time, but not to make it look new, in a heyday-style again, but to bring the days of decay back to life.
Or can there be another explanation besides the one, that a special decay-simulating paint has been put on the building, for the fact, that the building so soon after renovation shows the first signs of decline again by losing paint on several parts of its facade?

This. Is. Sad.
