Disney’s latest animated feature ”The Princess and the Frog” has been premiering in Europe at various dates depending on the countries with France still awaiting the premiere at January 27 (members of the resort’s Shareholders’ Club can still reserve up to three free tickets per member for an exclusive advance screening of the French version of the movie on January 23rd at the Studio Theatre inside the Walt Disney Studios, normally home of Cinemagique). To accomodate the interest and demands of the international guests from other European countries (and certainly overseas) Tiana and her prince as well as all their friends have already arrived at the resort.
The characters are not yet featured in the parades and are not available for meet’n'greets (even so the resort had published casting notices in late 2008 for according contracts starting in January 2010). However, according to various rumors Tiana and her prince may join the cast of characters at meet’n'greets as early as the official French premier of the movie (or as late as the start of the ”New Generation” festival in April) and may also become the latest stars in the Once Upon a Dream Parade of the Disneyland Park (the latter according to rumors only with the start of the “New Generation” festival). So what did already arrive?
Well, the merchandise for the movie! It is already prominently featured in the boutiques of both parks, the Disney Village and the Disney Hotels. It consists of a wide range of products from Tiana princess costumes, to purses for girls, plush (especially of Louis as well as Tiana and her prince as frogs), and (rarely found in the resort) various English language books including a childrens’ cooking book plus much much more.
