Cinemagique Score Online

Even so Disneyland Paris does release soundtrack CDs from both of its theme parks more or less regularly – more frequently than the US resorts of Disney – unfortunately Vasile Sirli despite repeated requests of fans continues to ignore the huge demand for music from the attractions. Instead he continues to release nearly exclusively music from the various entertainment offerings (even so this means that CD releases are outdated rather fast) and keeps a comparable large market untapped. But every now and then the fans of Disneyland Paris get the opportunity to get their hands on official releases of music from the parks’ attractions despite this…

Bruce Broughton’s scores for Disneyland Paris frequently are among the top soundtracks requested by fans – after all these include the scores for Timekeeper (in Discoveryland, now closed), Honey I Shrunk The Audience (also in Discoveryland) and the stunning score for “Cinemagique” (at the Walt Disney Studios). Bruce Broughton is represented online with his own official website one special element of which is the “featured audio” in the Listen section. Here Bruce Broughton regularly grants fans the opportunity to listen to rare excerpts of his work not commercially available. In the past this e.g. included an excerpt from his score for Timekeeper at Disneyland Paris (as reported back then here in the DLP.info News Blog).

Currently Bruce Broughton is offering 1:48 min of his incredible score for the Walt Disney Studios’ “Cinemagique” attraction - to be specific: his score for the silent movie segment at the very beginning of the presentation. The music is streamed in flash-format based on an 128kb mp3-file. This official stream on the composer’s website is the very first time that at least an excerpt of the attraction’s often requested score becomes publicly available to everyone. So fans should drop by the website before it is too late and the next “featured audio” replaces it. The excerpt is a unique piece of score which immediately brings back the memory of the first segments of the movie and for sure anyone who has seen the presentation of “Cinemagique” at least one will tremendously enjoy it…

Thanks to the MagicMusic.net boards and their contributors for pointing out the online-release from Cinemagique!
