Blockbuster Music

Disneyland Paris is trying its best to lure guests into the Disney Blockbuster CafĂ© opposite of the Rock’n'Roller Coaster in the Walt Disney Studios Park in the wake of its complete remodelling earlier this year. The latest step? The small brass band that had been playing on the raised seating area in front of the large windows facing toward Armageddon during the last winter season has returned.

Currently it plays several sets during the most busy dining hours of the day. However, due to the remodelling in a new location. As the location from last year is now party of the darkly lit Pirates of the Caribbean area the brass band has moved to the small, slightly raised seating area to the right of the entrance, from which the door leads onto the additional seating area of the now enclosed, former terrace (which is open for guests during the busy christmas season). In other words: the band is now located in the High School Musical area of the restaurant.

Does the location have an impact on the music the brass band performs? Depending on whom among the guests and cast members in the location you will ask: luckily / unfortunately not. The band does not perform specifically songs from the record breaking High School Musical movie trilogy but an assortment of Disney classics.

To enjoy the performance guests should try to dine in the High School Musical area of the restaurant, as only in this area the prerecorded background musical loop is turned off or down during the performances, while the loop in the Pirates of the Caribbean area plays on. Depending on where in the PotC area guests sit this results in a strange mix of the two musics backgrounds.
