The latest hotel to open in the Disneyland Resort Paris was the Radisson SAS hotel located on the Disney golf course, offering an upscale experience in a tranquil setting, separated from the bussle of the rest of the resort but still within a convenient distance from both theme parks – thanks to it’s own shuttle bus. With the departure of Holiday Inn (which became the Magic Circus Hotel in Val de France) the Radisson SAS became the sole hotel in DLRP outside Val d’Europe that is part of an established well known international hotel chain with a uniform brand (as the hotels managed by Vienna International in DLRP trade under unique names each). However, Now the Radisson SAS hotel underwent a change of name.
As the cooperation of Radisson with the SAS airline ceased the whole hotel chain dropped the element “SAS” from it’s name and now calls itself Radisson BLU. To introduce their new name the chain has started a special inteoduction campaign “Out of the Blu” which includes the hotel at DLRP as well.
In recent days the chain advertised under this claim in German newspapers a special pricing (amongst others) for their hotel at DLRP offering rooms for two starting at EUR 49,00 per person (based on an occupancy by two guests) excluding breakfast (and theme park passports). Those interested should note: the pricing is an “as of” price (so it may be higher for certain dates), requires booking a minimum of 28 days in advance, can’t be cancelled or changed and is available for stays till August 31, 2009 (depending on availability). Details are available at radissonblu.de/sommer. So if you are planning a visit for this year’s summer season, this might be the opportunity to try a new experience at DLRP…
