Situated at the furthest left hand side of Central Plaza, Frontierland offers guests the opportunity experience a wild west town straight from a western movie. Here every area of the detailed terrain perfectly represents every aspect of cowboy life.The gateway to Frontierland is an impressive looking fort. This huge wooden structure not only forms the entrance to the land but also houses one of its attractions. Within the various rooms and walkways around the fort guests can view a tableau of scenes representing western life which make up "The Legends of the Wild West".

Passing through the fort guests are then greeted with one of the parks most impressive landmarks "Big Thunder Mountain". Its striking red rock faces make it look like a scene from Monument Valley, Instantly setting the scene for the whole of "Thunder Mesa" (the name of the town which surrounds it). But Big Thunder Mountain is not only an impressive monument it also forms one of the parks headline attractions, a high speed chase aboard a runaway mine train through the mountains many hidden tunnels.

Guests looking for something a little less strenuous can relax and enjoy a lazy ride aboard one of the beautiful paddle steamers which make its way around the waterways sounding Big Thunder Mountain aptly named "The Rivers of the Far West" Thunder Mesa itself is a bustling frontier town which includes all of the respective buildings guests would expect to find here. A saloon complete with dancing girls, A fine steak restaurant and numerous supply stores form just part of the town.

Here the country music is only interrupted by the sound of a distant gun fight. Guests can try their aim for themselves at the shooting gallery although the guns here feature infa-red laser beams rather than bullets.

Towards the far end of the town guest can discover several lesser known attractions. Children will undoubtedly enjoy the "Pocahontas Indian Village" Playground with is Indian themed swings and slides. There is also a petting farm where they can enjoy stroking the many animals including sheep and goats.

Close by is "The Chaparral Stage" a venue for one of the outstanding Disney stage shows. Here guests can watch some of their favourite Disney characters come alive in a seasonal show, Before catching one of the trains which stop at the Frontierland station for a round trip of the park.

Sinisterly shadowing the whole of Fronterland is the spooky looking Phantom Manor, a deserted looking house which is home to one of Disneyland Paris's most advanced rides, Through its haunted rooms and corridors.

Frontierland liegt zur linken des Central Plaza und kann durch ein Fort von dort aus betreten werden. Zur rechten dieses Fort entdeckt man dann auch gleich einen Vorgeschmack auf das, was einen erwartet, Cowboys und Indianer, denn auf dieser rechten Seite befindet sich ein kleines Indianerdorf.

Sobald man das Fort durchquert hat, fällt der Blick auf den Big Thunder Mountain, einen riesigen Berg, der sich auf einer Insel der Rivers of the Far West befindet und das Stadtbild der kleinen Westernstadt Thunder Mesa bestimmt.

Thunder Mesa ist die Stadt, die man nun betreten kann. Hier lässt sich alles finden, was man in einer Westernstadt erwartet, einen Saloon, ein Steakhaus und vieles andere.

Und in der Fernen kann man schon die Schreie derer hören, die in dem wildgewordenen Minenzug durch den Berg rasen.... bald wird es den Besucher auch selbst erwischen.

Die ganze Szenerie wird überschattet von einem gespenstisch aussehenden Geisterhauses auf einem Hügel im Südteil der Stadt. Gerüchte sagen, dass die Stadt nicht verlassen wurde, weil die Mine ausgeschöpft war sondern weil die Menschen im Geisterhaus gefangen sind, doch all das ist nur eine Legende.....oder?

Dennoch legen in diesem Ort, der malerisch an den Rivers of the Far West gelegen ist, häufig große Raddampfer an, die zu einer Fahrt rund um die Sehenswürdigkeiten der Flüsse einladen.

Das ganze Land ist sehr gut gestaltet und lässt seine Gäste in den Wilden Westen eintauchen. Es wird bestimmt vom großen Berg in der Mitte und schmiegt sich an der Küste der Rivers of the Far West von Südosten bis zum Westen an.

Für Kinder ist dieses Land eines der schönsten, da sie sich hier vollkommen mit ihren Helden aus den Westernfilmen identifizieren können.

Den ganzen Tag hört man stimmungsvolle Countrymusik und in den Boden sind sogar Hufspuren von Pferden eingelassen, die das Bild vervollständigen.
