The outside of this huge looking but only 400 rooms offering Holiday Inn
follows the overall theme of Val de France, typcial french architecture
- in this case an overblown version of a country house with a wide
terrace overlooking the lake of Val de France and the Val de Morin with
its forests in the distance -, but inside the building, especially under
the high towering roof top of the center, the circus has taken over the
themeing emphasizing the family friendly approach the Holiday Inn chain
takes with this hotel.
So a playful indoor pool, spa and playground are only a small part of the family friendly offerings, which also includes animation with clowns and circus artists ... and continues right into the guest rooms which feature special kids' sections! But the parents have not been forgotten - after a delicious dinner at the table service restaurant Le Saltimbanque they are invited to enjoy the remaining night at the bar Funambule, where the cocktails are at least as fantastic as the locations name... After the breakfast on the terrace on the next morning what do You think about a stroll around the lake of Val de France which's shores are just one wide stairway down from the hotel? Das äußere dieses gigantisch erscheinenden Holiday Inns, das aber nur
400 Zimmer umfasst, folgt dem Thema des Val de France, typisch
französischer Architektur - in diesem Fall eine ausgedehnte Variante
eines Landsitzes mit einer den See von Val de France und das
anschließende bewaldete Val de Morin überblickenden Terrasse -, doch
im Inneren, besonders unter dem hohen Dach des Mittelsegmentes, hat der
Zirkus das Themeing übernommen und betont den familienfreundlichen
Anspruch dieses Holiday Inn Hotels.
Ein verspielt Indoor-Pool, ein Fitnessraum und ein Spielplatz sind da nur ein kleiner Teil des familienfreundlichen Angebotes, das auch Animation mit Clowns und Zirkus-Artisten bietet ... und sich bis in die Zimmer fortsetzt, die eine eigene Kinder-Ecke haben! Doch auch die Eltern wurden nicht vergessen - sie können nach dem Dinner im Tischservice-Restaurant Le Saltimbanque den Abend bei einem Cocktail in der Bar Funambule ausklingen lassen, der eine wenigstens so phantasievolle Kreation ist wie der Name der Bar... Und nach dem Frühstück am folgenden Morgen auf der Terrasse, wie wäre es da mit einem Spaziergang rund um den See von Val de France, dessen Ufer nur eine breite Treppe unterhalb des Hotels liegt? | The
rooms at the Holiday Inn go by the name "Kids Rooms" as they
offer a special childrens' area where a bunk bed and an additional
satellite-tv is located offering them among others the Disney Channel (free
of charge) and the option to play video games (for a surcharge). Besides
these kid's features the rooms include a French double bed (so that the
room sleeps up to four overall), a satellite-tv, telephone,
internet-access (for a surcharge), radio, safe and hair-dryer and are
also all equipped with their own air conditioning.

| Le
Saltimbanque is the name of the stylish but children-friendly table
service restaurant of the Holiday Inn (the hotel's only restaurant)
which serves a combination of traditional French cuisine and
international favorites behind the huge windows opening toward the lake
of the Val de France and the Val de Morin across it - a spectacular
setting especially on warm summer days when the terrace of the
restaurant is open for service. The breakfast buffet with cold and warm
offerings is served in Le Saltimbanque too. Not only in cold winter nights when the modern fire place in the center of the room is radiating its warmth out the bar Funambule invites guests to enjoy one of its fantasy-cocktail-creations. |

Holiday Inn is
one of the "Disneyland Resort Paris Selected Hotels" which
means that there is a free shuttle bus running between the hotel and the
theme parks (and the Disney Village), even
so parking at the hotel and on the main parking lot of the theme parks
is free with the hotel identity card. Certainly the free package pick-up service
which delivers your items frm the resort shops to your hotel is offered
too.

the other three hotels in the Val de France section the Holiday Inn has
been constructed and is owned and operated by an outside company, in
this case the Holiday Inn Hotel chain, which had
to meet the strict criteria of Disney Imagineering which was involved in
the planning and designing of the themed hotel. Differing from the other
three hotels the Holiday Inn offers a combination of two themes: the
building in the style of a French country house and the indoor family
oriented areas with a circus overlay making this hotel the first choice
for families with children.

Wie die übrigen drei Hotels wird auch das
Holiday Inn in Val de France von einer externen Firma betrieben, nämlich
der Holiday Inn Hotelkette, die es auch erbaut hat, wobei
sie sich an die strengen Anforderungen von Disney Imagineering halten mußte,
das bei der Planung und Gestaltung maßgeblich beteiligt war. Anders als
bei den übrigen Hotels in Val de France findet sich beim Holiday Inn
allerdings eine Kombination zweier Themen: das Gebäude ist im Stil eines
französischen Landsitzes gehalten, die familienorientierten Bereiche im
Inneren aber verfügen über eine Zirkus-Thema - das das Hotel zur ersten
Wahl für Familien mit Kindern macht.
