The Pace Picks Up...
The first half of 2001 saw the construction progress picking up pace faster and faster, even so already a lot of work is done inside the buildings, invisible to our photographers - for the first time a real impressions of the future look and feel of the Walt Disney Studios is to be found...	In der ersten Hälfte des Jahres 2001 gingen die Bauarbeiten sichtbar schneller voran, und das obwohl zu einem guten Teil bereits im Inneren der Gebäude gearbeitet wurde, verborgen vor unseren Kameras - erstmals lässt sich ein echter Eindruck vom Gesamteindruck, von der Stimmung der Walt Disney Studios gewinnen...

Taken from behind the future Studios this panorama allows to show the construction currently happening at the scenes for the stunt show. Left of the large stands with a steel roof faccades for a mediterrean village are being errected (note: there is no roof above the stage-area). Further to the left in the background the Disney Channel (the tent top is a part of the Crescend'O tent) while the lower walls in front of it are part of either the Special Effects Tour building or the Atelier-building at the Stunt Show. The building on the left corner of the photo is not a part of the Studios but the backside of the McDonald's at Disney Village - also note the Sequoia Lodge and the Newport Bay Club in the background, with the later one partially hidden by the very high main building of the R'n'R that dominates this part of the Studios.			Aufgenommen von einem Standort hinter den Studios eröffnet dieses Panorama u.a. den Blick auf die Bauarbeiten an den Kulissen der Stunt Show. Links der großen Tribüne werden die Fassaden eines mediterranen Dorfes errichtet (ohne Dach über dem Bühnenbereich!). Weiter links im Hintergrund dann der Disney Channel (die Zeltspitze darüber gehört zu dem Crescend'O-Zelt) während die Wände im Vordergrund entweder schon zum Gebäude der Special Effects Tour oder noch zum Atelier-Gebäude der Stunt Show gehören. Das Gebäude am linken Bildrand im Hintergrund ist kein Teil der Studios mehr, vielmehr handelt es sich um die Rückseite des McDonalds im Disney Village. Ebenso sind die Sequoia Lodge und der Newport Bay Club zu erkennen, wobei letzterer teilweise von dem sehr hohen R'n'R verdeckt wird, der diesen Bereich der Studios dominiert.

While the view onto the future Entrance Plaza is blocked by the trees even, one can quiet good see the construction for the roof of the Animania. Taking a closer look one can already see the concrete base that has been erected for the stands inside the building near it's back wall. Further to the right the high rising white rectangular construction covered by tilts and with the makeshift roof atop next to the crane is the temporary scaffolding-construction around what will become a gigantic replica of Mickey's sorcerer hat from Fantasia which will crown the building with the Animation Show and Tour - the most interesting new structure in the studios. Further to the ride once more the costume building with a parking lot in front.			Während der Blick auf die zukünftige Entrance Plaza versperrt ist, kann die Arbeit and er Dachkonstruktion des Animania Gebäudes gut erkannt werden. Im inneren ist auch schon die Betonkonstruktion für den ansteigenden Zuschauerbereich auszumachen. Weiter rechts, direkt neben dem Kran, die hoch aufsteigende, kasteförmige Gerüstkonstruktion, verdeckt von Planen und mit einem behelfsmäßigen Dach ist die temporäre Schutzhülle, unter der Mickey's Zauberer Hut aus Fantasia in gigantischen Ausmaßen nachgebaut wird. Er wird später die Animations Ausstellung und Tour von Außen zieren - die wohl interessanteste Neuerung auf der Baustelle. Weiter rechts einmal mehr das Kostümgebäude mit einem Parkplatz davor.

Euro Disney SCA had to try it's best in keeping the construction costs of their second themepark down - one result can be seen at the Cinemagique building in the foreground of this photo: instead of a steel roof the half-tube shaped building gets a tent-roof behind the concrete-facade. In the background left of the Cinemagique the loading/unloading-station for the Tram-Tour is rising.	Euro Disney SCA war bemüht die Baukosten für den zweiten Themenpark möglichst gering zu halten. Eine Folge zeigt dieses Photo: statt eines Blechdaches erhält das Cinemagique- Gebäude hinter der Betonfassade ein Zeltdach! Im Hintergrund links des Gebäudes wächst derweil die Station der Tram-Tour.	Seen from the back the Catastrophe Canyon lies right in front of the Big Thunder Mountain, which forms a fitting backdrop. to show the guests how the effects inside the Canyon are realized the back of the construction, seen here, is mainly an open scaffolding.	In dieser Perspektive liegt der Catastrophe Canyon direkt vor Big Thunder Mountain, der einen passenden Hintergrund liefert. Um den Gästen auch die Entstehung der Effekte zu zeigen, besteht die Rückseite des Canyons, wie hier zu sehen, größtenteils aus einem offenen Gerüstwerk.	After having finished the blue steel outside of the actual sound stage of the Disney Channel now the bureau and foyer section of the building has been wraped to allow the workcrews to ad the windows and paint the walls even during the winter season.	Nachdem die stahl-blauen Außenwände des eigentlichen Studio-Bereiches des Disney Channels bereits fertiggestellt sind, wurde nun der Büro- und Foyer-Bereich des Gebäudes verhängt, um den Einbau der Fenster und den Anstrich auch während der Wintersaison zu gestatten.

As this close up shows the bare blue steel skeleton for the large archway that forms the main entrance of the Studios is slowly but surely becoming more elaborate and gives a first impression of it's future majestic forms.	Wie diese Nahaufnahme zeigt, nimmt das blaue Stahlskelett des Torbogens, der zukünftig als Eingang der Studios fungieren wird, langsam detaillierte Formen an und gibt einen ersten Eindruck seiner zukünftigen, majestätischen Form.	While the most obvious progress at the Studio Boulevard Sound Stage (as can be jugded from the outside) might be that they started painting it in a yellow-brown mix, if one looks a bit closer one can see that the building finally got it's plain roof behind the shaped facade as some boxes, maybe for the air conditioning, have been placed on it.	Der offensichtlichste Fortschritt an der Studio Boulevard Sound Stage (soweit von Außen zu beurteilen) ist der Beginn das gelb-braunen Anstrichs - doch sieht man genauer hin, ist zu erkennen, dass hinter der geschwungenen Fassade ein Flachdach entstanden ist, auf dem einige Boxen, eventuell für eine Klimaanlage, positioniert wurden.	While the landscaping inside can't start for real before the heavy equipment has left, the new section of the Fantasia Gardens connecting the Studio entrance with the Disneyland Hotel and the Disney Village, are growing. The first large trees have been planted to form a green isle in the middle of the future gardens...	Während die Landschaftsgärtner in den Studios erst nach dem Abzug des schweren Gerätes richtig an die Arbeit gehen können, nimmt der neue Abschnitt der Fantasia Gardens, der den Eingang der Studios, das Disneyland Hotel und das Disney Village verbinden wird, bereits Form an. Erste große Bäume wurden schon gepflanzt und bilden nun eine grüne Insel in Mitten des zukünftigen Gartens...

Dominating the left end of the area used by the studios in the first phase is the Rock'n'Rollercoaster whose building is now finished on it's outside except for some (hopefully) planned theming. The lower building in front of the huge cubic building housing the actual track is the loading-station and the launch-tunnel with the catapult.	Die linke Begrenzung der Studios in ihrer ersten Phase stellt der Rock'n'Rollercoaster dar, dessen Gebäude von Außen abgesehen von einigen (hoffentlich vorgesehenen) Gestaltungselementen fertiggestellt ist. Das flachere Gebäude vor dem großen Quader mit der eigentlichen Strecke beherbergt die Station und den Starttunnel mit dem Katapult.	Taken from a higher position the gap between the Disney Channel building on the left and the Cinemagique on the right is quiet obvious. All models and plans so far showed a buidling for Movie Postproduction in between which seems to be a future project. By the way: the bare ground in front of the Studios is on top of the underground- train-track	Von diesem erhöhten Standpunkt aus ist die Lücke zwischen dem Disney Channel links und dem Cinemagique rechts deutlich zu erkennen. In allen bisherigen Modellen und Plänen war sie mit einem Gebäude für die Film Postproduktion gefüllt, das aber wohl ein Zukunftsprojekt ist. Die freie Fläche vor den Studios übrigens liegt auf der Decke der unterirdischen Bahngleise.

Very roughly seen the Studios do have the shape of a piece of cake with the entrance gate placed on the sharp end. While the panorama from the 10th of February depicts the right half of the large curved end of the piece of cake (if standing behind the Studios), this new one shows the left boundary of the park if standing in front of it, from the Rock'n'Rollercoaster (left corner) across the Disney Channel (note that some dark yellow / beige color seems to have been added to the top floor of the bureaus), the Cinemagique (the cars seen in the distance between the two buildings are standing on the temporary parking lot for personal working on the construction site), the Studio Boulevard Soundstage (the boxes on it's roof can be seen well here), the Animagique building (based on the construction it most propably will get a similar roof of the Cinemagique - plastic fabrics), across the future gardens in front of the entrance toward the Disneyland Hotel, some of whichs rooms grant a view of the Studios.		Grob gesagt haben die Studios die Form eines Tortenstücks mit dem Eingang in der Spitze. Während das Panorama vom 10. Februar demnach die rechte Hälfte der geschwungenen Rückseite zeigte (wenn man hinter dem Park steht), ist hier die linke Grenze des Parks, wenn man vor diesem steht, aufgenommen - vom Rock'n'Rollercoaster (ganz links), über den Disney Channel (die obere Büroetage wurde scheinbar in einem dunklen gelb / beige gestrichen), das Cinemagique (die Autos zwischen den beiden Gebäuden im Hintergrund befinden sich auf dem temporären Parkplatz für auf der Baustelle Tätige), die Studio Boulevard Soundstage (die Anlagen auf dem Flachdach sind gut zu erkennen), Animagique (ausgehend von der Konstruktion wird das Gebäude ein ähnliches Dach wie das Cinemagique erhalten - Plastikbahnen), weiter über die zukünftigen Gärten vor dem Eingang bis hin zum Disneyland Hotel, von dem einige Zimmer einen Blick in die Studios gewähren.

Obvious prgress can be seen at the painting of the Stduio Boulevard walls if compared with the pictures below from 14 days earlier. Also the "roof" (which is actually out of some plastic-farbic) is now covering nearly all of the Cinemagique.	Offensichtlich Fortschritte gab es bei den Malerarbeiten an den Außenwänden des Studio Boulevard im Vergleich zu 14 Tagen älteren Photos. Außerdem deckt das "Dach" (das aus Plastikzeltbahnen besteht) nun fast das gesamte Cinemagique ab.	More and more trees show up along the future Center Court in front of the large studio arch, that is taking shape faster and faster. Also interesting to note: there is no sign of a roof being added to Animagique in the background.	Mehr und mehr Bäume tauchen entlang des zukünftigen Center Court vor dem großen Studio Tor auf, das immer schneller Form annimmt. Außerdem interessant zu bemerken: noch immer hat die Installation des Daches bei Animagique nicht begonnen.

The future guests will wander through the dense, shady gardens, of which the first elements can be spotted on the sides of the photo, before reaching an wide, open plaza in front of the entrance gate of the studios, where now only the cars of the workers park. Notice how the tent-roof of the Cinemagique shines in the sun - are they going to add something to block the view?	Die zukünftigen Gäste werden durch die dichten, schattenreichen Gärten, deren ersten Anpflanzungen an den Bildrändern zu sehen sind, schreiten, bevor sie an eine großzügige Plaza vor dem Studio gelangen an dem Platz, den bisher noch Wagen der Arbeiter als Parkplatz nutzen. Auffällig ist die Sonnenreflektion auf dem Zeltdach des Cinemagique - ob hier noch ein Sichtschutz installiert wird?

The Studio Boulevard (the left side now fully painted) is already getting it's finishing touches with decorative elements at the ridge of the roof and it's front facade. The view into the building onto the sets of "Lights, Camera, Hollywood" has been blocked with a door unfortunately. The tilts direcly behind the trees are covering the large archway and constructions next to it.	Der Studio Boulevard (dessen linke Seite bereits vollständig gestrichen ist) erhält bereits dekorative Verzierungen am Dachfirst und seiner Fassade. Der Blick in sein Inneres auf die Kulissen für 2Lights, Camera, Hollywood" ist leider durch ein Tor versperrt. Die Planen direkt hinter den Bäumen verdecken übrigens den Torbogen und die Gebäude direkt neben ihm.	As can be seen here the Cinemagie hasn't yet received decorative elements as the Studio Boulvard next to it. But a huge step forward has been made at the Animagique construction side - here the tent roof is now finally being added (as already happened at the Cinemagique). Behind the tilts in the foreground the archway is now taking shape.	Wie hier zu sehen ist, hat das Cinemagique noch nicht die Dekorationselemente wie der Studio Boulevard erhalten. Ein großen Schritt voran hat man aber am Animagique Gebäude gemacht, bei dem jetzt das Zeltdach installiert wird (wie schon am Cinemagique geschehen). Hinter den Planen im Vordergrund nimmt das große Eingangstor bereits Form an.	The expansion of the Fantasia Gardens is progressing faster and faster. After the planting of the already large grown trees and bushs now already walkway are being prepared between the Disneyland Hotel (right corner), the Village (behind the photographer) and the entrance plaza of the studios (behind the trees).	Die Erweiterung der Fantasia Gardens verläuft schneller und schneller. Nachdem bereits Bäume und Büsche gepflanzt wurden, bereitet man nun schon die Wege zwischen dem Disneyland Hotel (rechter Bildrand), dem Village (hinter dem Photographen) und der Eingangs Plaza der Studios (hinter den Bäumen) vor.

As the panorama shot from the 10th of February this photo has been taken from behind the studio area. Interestingly they added a white fence around the construction area to block the view - with nearly no success as most buildings are rising much higher. The construction of the sets for the Stunt Show in front of the stands is progressing, even so same parts are still only steel skeletons. Further to the left behind the low walls (of what will either become the Stunt Show Atelier or the Special Effects Tour) the facade of the Disney Channel Studios has made a big leap forward, as some beige color can already be seen.	Wie die Panorama-Aufnahme vom 10. Februar wurde auch dieses Photo von einem Standpunkt hinter den Studios aufgenommen. Interessant ist im Vergleich, dass ein weißer Zaun nun Blicke abhalten soll - mit mäßigem Erfolg, sind die meisten Gebäude doch deutlich höher. Die Arbeiten an den Kulissen der Stunt Show vor der Tribüne gehen zügig voran, auch wenn Teile noch reine Stahlskelette sind. Weiter links hinter dem flachen Gebäude (das entweder der Stunt Show Atelier oder die Special Effects Tour beherbergen wird) macht die Fassade der Disney Channel Studios große Fortschritte, ist schon beige Farbe auszumachen.

This panorama shot across the roofed underground rails of the RER / TGV shows the progress on the buildings located at thef ront of the studios toward the Disney Village. While the Rock'n'Rollercoaster and it's station (left corner) seem to have been finished ont heir outside, the Disney Channel Studio is still under construction, even so not the soundstage building (blue/grey) but the bureaus located around it on three sides. While the left part seems to have been painted finally (in the same beige color as the Studio Boulevard) the right part of the bureau part is still hidden under tilts. Further on the Cinemagiuque sits unchanged on it's outside, but the roof of the Animagique (another tent construction) is nearly finished.		Aufgenommen über die unterirdisch verlaufenden Schienen der RER / des TGV zeigt dieses Panorama den Fortschritt der Gebäude, die die Front zum Disney Village bilden werden. Während der Rock'n'Rollercoaster und sein Stationsgebäude seit längerem äußerlich unverändert scheinen, hat sich einiges an den Disney Channel Studios getan - wenn auch nicht am eigentlichen, blau/grauen Studiogebäude, sondern am Bürotrakt der das Studio an drei Seiten umschließt. Dessen linker Teil wurde nun in der selben beigen Farbe wie der Studio Boulevard gestrichen, während der rechte noch von Planen verdeckt ist. Beim Cinemagique hat sich wiederum äußerlich nichts getan, dafür aber ist das Dach des Animagique (eine weitere Zeltkonstruktion) fast vollendet.

As this close shot reveals the basic construction for a major part of the sets of the Stunt Show has been finished. The partially flat, partially three dimensional sets of the mediterrean village are clearly visible. Even some details like the balustrade of the balcony are already in place and give a good first impression of how they will look like when painted...	Der größte Teil der Rohbauarbeiten an den teilweise zwei-, teilweise dreidimensionalen Kulissen der Stunt Show ist abgeschlossen. Schon deutlich ist das mediterrane Dorf zu erkennen, selbst Details, wie ein Balkongeländer, finden sich bereits und geben einen Eindruck, wie die Szenerie wirken wird, sind die Kulissen erst gestrichen.	Another view from the back of the park into the studios. On the right corner the last part of the Stunt Show sets (some two dimensional elements), in the center the Studio Boulevard. As can be seen the decorative elements at the facade have been added here two - interesting also the gigantic dimensions of it's gates...	Ein weiterer Blick von hinten in die Studios. Am rechten Bildrand die letzten Ausläufer der Kulissen der Stunt Show, am Rand wohl zweidimensional, im Mittelpunkt aber der Studio Boulevard. Die dekorativen Verzierungen sind auch an dieser Seite schon angebracht - interessanter aber noch die gigantischen Ausmaße des Tores...

After adding the decorative elements to the facade of the Studio Boulevard and painting it's left and right side now workers plaster it's front facade - and not just during the work-week but, as seen here, also on Saturdays! Unfortunately the tilts block any close view onto the entrance arch in front.	Nachdem die Zierelemente an der Fassade des Studio Boulevard installiert wurden und sowohl die linke als auch die rechte Seite gestrichen sind, wird nun verputzt - und dafür werden die Arbeiter sogar Samstags tätig! Leider verhindern die Planen einen genaueren Blick auf das Eingangstor im Vordergrund.	Ever wondered how a set of a village looks from backstage? Here is the answer as far as the mediterrean village set of the Stunt Show is regarded... In front of it the smaller building seen on the lower edge of the photo will become the home of the Animation Exhibition.	Wer schon immer wissen wollte, wie die Filmkulisse eines Dorfes von hinten aussieht, wird hier fündig - zumindest soweit es das mediterrane Dorf der Stunt Show angeht... Am unteren Bildrand davor ist noch das Gebäude der Animation Exhibition zu erkennen.	While Disney is constructing the Studios quiet open in front of the photographers it is guarding the icons of the park, as Mickey's Sorcerer's Hat, carefully. This picture of the construction of the gigantic hat next to the Animation Exhibit on it's left shows this unfortunately well.	Während Disney die Studios nahezu ohne Schutz vor Photographen baut, werden die Wahrzeichen des Parks, wie Mickey's Zauberer Hut, gut verborgen. Das zeigt auch dieses Photo der Arbeiten am gigantischen Hut mit der Animation Exhibition links daneben.

The walkway leading from the Disney Village toward the Fantasia Gardens had been closed last fall to be revamped to allow access to the new section of the gardens and the Studio entrance as of 2002. Now it seems it is already nearing completition in its lower section and should reopen in time for this summer season.	Der Weg zwischen Disney Village und Fantasia Gardens wurde letzten Herbst gesperrt, um ihn neu anzulegen, so dass er auch Zugang zum neuen Gartenbereich und den Studios ab 2002 gewährt. Nun nähert er sich im unteren Bereich der Fertigstellung und sollte zum Sommerandrang fertiggestellt werden.	Located between the Animania Building and the Costume Building this round foundation are the cause of major speculation. According to an source outside of Disneyland Paris this is the base for the attraction "The Magic Carpets of Aladdin", a Dumbo style ride added after the park-map was presented to the public.	Zwischen dem Animania- und dem Kostumgebäude gelegen sind die runden Fundamente Gegenstand großer Spekulationen. Laut einer Quelle außerhalb von Disneyland Paris soll es sich dabei um die Vorbereitung für "The Magic Carpets of Aladdin" handeln, eine Attraktion im Dumbo-Stil, die erst nach der Veröffentlichung der Parkpläne ergänzt wurde.	The white tent roofs are already taking a yellow/brown color near the ground already as the earth is not covered here - a cleaning will be necessary before the park opens as soon as the groundwork is finished and plants are planted. But more interesting: the two construction on the side of the tent-roof/wall: this are most propably exits for the Cinemagique.	Das weiße Zeltdach verfärbt sich bereits gelb-bräunlich nahe dem Boden - vor der Eröffnung ist eine Reinigung nach Abschluss der Erdarbeiten und der Bepflanzung der Beete unverzichtbar. Aber interessanter sind die beiden Konstruktionen in dem Zelt-Dach: wahrscheinlich handelt es sich dabei um Ausgänge des Cinemagique.

Since the last panorama shot taken fromt his angel on the 10th of February major progress has been made. As a close look reveiles the right side of the Studio Boulevard has been painted now too and the tent roof construction of Animagique has been completed too. Between the Animagique building and the construction scaffolding around the Mickey's Sorcerer's Hat once can see all the way through toward the back of the sets for the Stunt Show with it's stands behind them. The lower construction in front is the building that will house the Animation Exhibition. Also take notice of the foundations in front of the Sorcerer's Hat seen behind the trees as this is the cause for major specualtion (see detail for more information). Going past the Costume Building, that is already in use, take a close look at the forest behind the street that diverts the Studios and Disneyland: there you can see the backside of the Catastrophe Canyon!			Seit der Erstellung des letzten Panoramas aus dieser Sicht am 10. Februar hat sich einiges getan. Ein genauer Blick zeigt, dass nun auch die rechte Seite des Studio Boulevard gestrichen ist; außerdem wurde das Zeltdach für Animagique fertiggestellt. Zwischen diesem Gebäude und der temporären Konstruktion um Mickey's Zauberer Hut kann man bis zu den Kulissen der Stunt Show mit der Tribüne im Hintergrund sehen. Vor den Kulissen ist ein flacheres Gebäude auszumachen - hier wird die Animation Exhibition zu finden sein. Beachtenswert auch die Fundamente am Fuße des Zauberer Huts, die zwischen den Bäumen auszumachen sind, sie sind Gegenstand großer Spekulationen (mehr Informationen in der Detailansicht). Auch ein Blick jenseits des Kostümgebäudes lohnt sich: noch hinter der Straße, die die Studios von Disneyland trennt, ist im Wald die Rückseite des Catastrophe Canyon auszumachen!

Arriving from the main parking lot guests will have a splendid view through the new section of the Fantasia Gardens right onto the large arch above the entrance to the Studios with the Studio Boulevard Soundstage in the background. Already now with work in the gardens still underway it looks impressive...	Gäste die vom Parkplatz aus das Resort betreten werden einen wunderbaren Blick durch den neuen Bereich der Fantasia Gardens direkt auf den großen Torbogen am Eingang zu den Studios mit dem Studio Boulevard im Hintergrund haben. Schon jetzt, während der Bauarbeiten, eröffnet sich ein beeindruckendes Bild...	Taken a bit from the side this shot of the archway at the Studios' entrance reveals a bit more of the shape of the construction hidden under the tilt. Due to the point of view this photo was taken front the building to be seen behind the archway is not the Studio Boulevard but the Cinemagique.	Aufgenommen von einem seitlichen Standpunkt lassen sich auf diesem Photo die Formen des Torbogens, der eigentlich unter Planen verborgen ist, besser erkennen. Aufgrund des Standpunktes ist das im Hintergrund zu sehende Gebäude aber nicht der Studio Boulevard sondern das Cinemagique.

Located next to the archway at the entrance on it's right side this building will house Guest Relations and the sales points for tickets, meaning guests will walk right toward the main gate and then have to turn right after passing through the new section of the Fantasia Gardens. Already the 30s/40s Hollywood-style can be seen quiet well in the architecture.	Rechts neben dem Eingang gelegen wird dieses Gebäude Guest Relations und Kassen beherbergen, so dass die Gäste, die auf den Haupteingang zu geführt werden, sich hinter dem neuen Bereich der Fantasia Gardens nach rechts werden wenden müssen. Der 30er/40er-Jahre Hollywood-Stil ist bereits gut an der Architektur zu erkennen.	Another glimpse into the park (after an expansion a "post-production-building" is supposed to block this view) - what looks as if tagged between the Disney Channel Studios (left) and the Cinemagique (a bit of it's facade with the foyer can be seen on the right) is in fact sitting way back behind a plaza. Below the white steel construction the station of the Backlot Tram Tour will be located with a large sign put up on the construction soon.	Ein weiterer Blick in das Innere der Studios (nach einem Ausbau soll ein "Post-Production-Gebäude" die Sicht verstellen) - was hier zwischen den Disney Channel Studios (links) und dem Cinemagique (dessen Fassade mit Foyer rechts angeschnitten ist) eingeklemmt scheint, befindet sich jenseits einer großen Plaza. Unter der weißen Stahlkonstruktion entsteht die Station der Backlot Tour, für die bald ein großes Schild an dem Gerüst wirbt.

This panorama looking from the currently Fantasia Gardens toward the Disney Village, across the new section of the gardens and to the entrance of the Studios reveals how much progress was made on the work for the walkway connecting the gardens and the Village compared to the way leading toward the Studios, as the before mentioned needs to be reopened for the huge summer crowds as soon as possible.	Dieses Panorama aus den Fantasia Gardens erstreckt sich vom Disney Village, über die neuen Gärten bis zum Eingang der Studios und zeigt dabei sehr schön den Fortschritt der Arbeiten am Verbindungsweg des Village mit den Fantasia Gardens im Vergleich zu dem Weg, der zu den Studios führen wird, muss ersterer doch möglichst schnell zur Bewältigung des Sommeransturms wieder geöffnet werden.

While a mound is making it nearly impossible to get a view into Disneyland and blocks thereby also the outside world from view for the guests, these precautions haven't be made in all parts of the Studios yet - luckily, as it allows as to see how the sets of the Stunt Show get more and more elaborate.	Während ein Erdwall es nahezu unmöglich macht, einen Blick in das Innere des Disneyland zu werfen und so auch die Welt dem Blick der Besucher im inneren entzieht, fehlen derartige Schutzmaßnahmen in einigen Teilen der Studios noch - zum Glück, können wir doch so verfolgen, wie die Kulissen für die Stunt Show immer detaillierter werden.

On the 9th birthday of Disneyland Paris and exactely one year before the anticipated opening date of the WDS the first of the two landmarks of the new themepark was revealed: Mickey's Sorcerer's Hat! It's final position will be atop the entrance of the Animation building, but as seen here it has been assembled first on the right side of the building on the ground. In the next weeks it will be relocated and later the top of the hat and the stars should be added.	Am 9. Geburtstag von Disneyland Paris und damit ein Jahr vor der erwarteten Eröffnung der Walt Disney Studios wurde das erste der beiden Wahrzeichen des neuen Themenparks enthüllt: Mickeys Zauberer Hut! Seine endgültige Position wird er auf dem Eingang des Animations-Gebäudes finden, doch wie zu sehen, wurde er erst einmal rechts neben diesem zusammengesetzt. In den kommenden Wochen wird er versetzt, bevor dann noch die Spitze und die Sterne ergänzt werden.

The steelframes that look as if sitting at the corner of the Cinemagique in fact sit right in the middle of the plaza between the Cinemagique, the Backlot Tram Tour Station and the Disney Channel. According to the official construction maps it will be become a round stage.	Die Stahlkonsturktion, die schienbar an einer Ecke des Cinemagique sitzt, befindet sich in Wirklichkeit im Zentrum des Platzes zwischen dem Cinemagique, der Backlot Tram Tour Station und dem Disney Channel. Laut den offiziellen Plänen soll es sich dabei um eine runde Bühne handeln.	After having been in the middle of a catastrophe guests on the Backlot Tram Tour will drive around the corner behind the sets to see how the natural disaster is created - right now the backside of the sets for the Catastrophe Canyon aren't looking that interesting, but wait...	Nachdem sie im Mittelpunkt einer Katastrophe standen, werden die Gäste der Backlot tram Tour einmal hinter die Kulissen sehen, um zu erleben, wie die Naturgewalten entfesselt werden - bisher aber sieht die Rückseite der Sets noch nicht so interessant aus, doch das wird sich ändern...	One would think a year is alot of time to finish the work, but there is still a lot to do inside the building - so the work even continues till late in the night, as can bee seen here looking into the Animagique-building. But guests of the Disneyland Hotel don't need to be afraid - they won't here the work at all.	Man könnte denken, ein Jahr reiche, um die Arbeiten zu beenden, doch ist hinter den Fassaden so viel zu tun, dass bis in den Abend gearbeitet wird, wie ein Blick in das Animagique Gebäude zeigt. Die Gäste des Disneyland Hotels werden aber nicht gestört.

The progress of the work is picking up more and more pace it seems, as many of the buildings near the finish on the outside - just take a look at the Disney Channel whose bureau- and foyer-part is now shining in it's bride color, take a look at the structure being prepared between the building and the Cinemagique, or at most of the other facades who are getting more detailed now. But most impressive: the large archway at the future entrance has been finally revealed!			Der Fortschritt der Arbeiten wird immer schneller und schneller, nähern sich viele Gebäude doch ihrer Fertigstellung im Außenbereich - das ist gut am Disney Channel zu sehen, dessen Büro- und Foyer-Bereich in hellem Anstrich erstrahlt, an der Konstruktion, die zwischen dem Gebäude und dem Cinemagique vorbereitet wird, aber auch an den übrigen Fassaden. Am beeindruckendsten ist jedoch der Torbogen am zukünftigen Eingang, der endlich enthüllt wurde.

Judging from this shot taken from outside the WDS guests sitting in the top rows of the Stunt Show stands will have an interesting view across the Studios, toward the Disneyland Hotel (note it's roof) with the Space Mountain clearly visible further to the right... But back to the construction: the vertical construction of the Stunt Show sets seems to be finished as now the painters have moved in.	Ausgehend von diesem Photo werden die Gäste in den oberen Reihen der Stunt Show Tribüne einen interessanten Blick über die ganzen Studios bis zum Disneyland Hotel haben, mit dem Space Mountain weiter rechts ebenfalls gut zu erkennen... Doch zurück zu den Bauarbeiten: die vertikale Konstruktion der Stunt Show Sets scheint beendet, sind doch schon die Maler an der Arbeit.

The facade of the Cinemagique facing toward the entrance of the studios has now been painted in what seems a dark sand-color which is also used for the exterior of teh Studio Boulevard on it's right.	Die dem Eingang der Studios zugewandte Fassade des Cinemagique ist nun in der dunklen Sandfarbe gestrichen, die auch für das Äußere des Studio Boulevard Verwendung findet.		The archway above the entrance looks impressive already, even so it's still awaiting the painting job and the letters reading Walt Disney Studios... In the background: the Animagique building, which is one step behind the Cinemagique.	Der Torbogen der Studios wirkt bereits beeindruckend - obwohl der Anstrich und der Schriftzug "Walt Disney Studios" noch fehlen... Im Hintegrund: Animagique, das einen Bauphase hinter dem Cinemagique herhinkt.	A close shot of the bureau- and foyer-building taged onto the Disney Channel Soundstage - no big progress here but notice the blue line going around the facade which sits (from this point of view) behind the bureaus.		Eine Nahaufnahme des Büro- und Foyerkomplexesan den Studios des Disney Channels - zwar ist kein großer Fortschritt zu sehen, doch die blaue Linie in der Fassade fällt auf (die in dieser Sicht) hinter den Büros sitzt.

The large so far unnamed plaza between the Fantasia Gardens, the Disney Village, the RER-station and the walkway to the parking lot will soon open it's expanded area as only the plants and lampposts are missing now.		Die große bisher namenlose Plaza zwischen den Fantasia Gardens, dem Disney Village, der RER-Station und dem Weg zum Parkplatz wird in kürze in erweiterter Form zur Verfügung stehen, fehlen doch nur noch Pflanzen und Lampen.		The famous arches above the entrance to the Fantasia Gardens in front of the Disneyland Hotel will soon return to it's old place, as this columns suggest. They had to be removed during the preparation of the new main walkway during the expansion of the gardens.		Die berühmten Bögen über dem Eingang der Fantasia Gardens vor dem Disneyland Hotel, kehren bald an ihren angestammten Platz zurück - das deuten diese Säulen an. Sie waren verlegt worden, während der neue Zugang und die Erweiterung der Gärten vorbereitet wurden.

After having been constructed next to the Animation building the giant Mickey's Sorcerer Hat has now been moved on top of it. It's interesting to notice that they had to take nearly all the blue cover down for the transfer to the final position, which had been added for the unveiling on the 12th of April which took place in front of invited sponsors of Disneyland Paris.	Nachdem er neben dem Animations-Gebäude aufgebaut wurde, hat man Mickeys überdimensionalen Zauberer Hut nun auf das Dach des Gebäudes versetzt. Für diese Transport mußte nahezu die komplette blaue Beplankung wieder entfernt werden, die für die Enthüllung des Wahrzeichens am 12. April vor den anwesenden Sponsoren angebracht worden war.

In the night from Friday the 18th to Saturday the 19th of May the second landmark of the studios was put into its place: the Earffel Tower! To guests it seemed as if a fairy had used a magical spell under the cover of the night to get it up onto the four pillows that carry it, which had been put in place during the last weeks. Take a special note of the studios name as written on the tank - this is the first time a kind of logo with the final name has been made public!	In der Nacht von Freitag dem 18. auf Sonntag den 19. Mai wurde das zweite Wahrzeichen der Studios an seinen Platz gebracht: der Earffel Tower! Für die Gäste wirkte es, als ob eine Fee im Schutz der Nacht ihren Zauber gewirkt hatte, um ihn auf die vier Stützen zu heben, die bereits in den vergangenen Wochen installiert wurden. Sehr interessant auch der Schriftzug - hier wird erstmals ein Logo mit dem endgültigen Namen gezeigt!	The water tank with the Mickey Mouse ears has an even more prominent place at the WDS than at the Disney Studios in Walt Disney World. It's located right behind the low buildings lining the Entrance Plaza on the left and in front of the Cinemagique Building. Thanks to it's extreme height it can be seen from nearly everywhere inside the studios, from the Fantasia Gardens, the Disney Village, the Disneyland Hotel, in fact even from the walkway of the main parking lot and the main access road to the Village and the hotels!	Der Wassertank mit den Mickey Maus Ohren hat in den WDS eine noch prominentere Position als in den Disney Studios in Walt Disney World. Er steht direkt hinter den flachen Gebäuden links der Entrance Plaza noch vor dem Cinemagique. Dank seiner Höhe kann er so aus nahezu den ganzen Studios, den Fantasia Gardens, dem Disney Village, dem Disneyland Hotel, ja sogar vom Fußweg der vom Hauptparkplatz weg führt und der Hauptzufahrtsstraße zum Village und den Hotels gesehen werden!

What a progress since the last panorama shot of the "rear end" of the Studios from the 24th of March! Mickey's Sorcerers Hat features now parts of its blue cover and in the mediterrean village another secret is reveiled: take a close look at the uppermost window in the building right of the hat - it looks as if an explosion or a fire ravaged behind it! In addition the backside of the Stunt Show stand is painted in white. While the yellow flight of stairs seems to be there to stay in place, the stairs leading onto the roof are just construction-scaffolding. Behind it once more the landmark: the Earffel Tower, which bares the name of the park also on it's "back" as is proven here. Between the stands and the large Rock'n'Roller building near the right edge of the picture three buildings can be seen: first the beige one in the back - the Disney Channel Studio - than a flat grey one - the Studio Commissary / Backlot Express Restaurants - and finally the higher grey bulding with the curved roof, which is already part of the the Gaumont multiplex in the Disney Village.		Ein unglaublicher Fortschritt seit dem letzten Panorama-Bild der "Rückseite" der Studios vom 24. März! Mickey's Zauberer Hut zeigt jetzt Teile seiner blauen Beplankung und im Mittelmeerdorf wird ein Geheimnis enthüllt: schauen sie sich genau das oberste Fenster im Gebäude rechts des Hutes an - es sieht aus, als hätte eine Explosion oder ein Feuer dahinter gewütet! Außerdem wird die Rückwand der Tribüne der Stunt Show weiß gestrichen. Während die Treppe zum Dach wohl nur für die Arbeiten dient, sollen die gelben Treppen scheinbar am Platz bleiben. Im Hintergrund einmal mehr das Wahrzeichen: der Earffel Tower, den auch an seiner "Rückseite" das Logo ziert. Zwischen der Tribüne und dem großen Gebäude des Rock'n'Roller am rechten Bildrand sind drei Gebäude auszumachen: zuerst das beige im Hintergrund - die Disney Channel Studios - dann ein flacheres graues - die Studio Commissary / Backlot Express Restaurants - und schließlich ein höheres graues Gebäude mit geschwungenem Dach, das bereits Teil des Gaumont Multiplex im Disney Village ist.

Think away the Sequoia Lodge main building, which has moved in as a backdrop in this perspective and the mediterrean village sets under construction for the Stunt Show looking stunningly real - just like a small mediterrean village complete with a bell tower (currently behind the scaffolding) and the small houses one built right onto the other, but each in different colors and with different heights.
