office. The cast members on the phone can provide you with any information that is needed to book a wonderful stay in
resort. A little disadvantage : Sometimes you can start to book holidays earlier if you book at your travel
agent. If you want to travel by train or plane it may be easier to book over a travel

Money can be exchanged at different locations throughout the
park and the Disney Village as well as the
hotel receptions. But avoid changing small amounts to often
as the exchange fee is not dpending on the amount exchanged! It is cheaper to use your credit-card or EC-Card to get
money.

The resort offers a wide range
of restaurants for all tastes and all budgets. Most of them
in the theme parks are reaching capacity during the busy lunch
hours. If you don't want to reschedule your lunch you can avoid
the longest lines if you take the five minute walk to the Disney
Village (or even the Disney Hotels) where especially during
lunch time rarely any restaurant has any waiting times (this is
ture only for lunch time and for tinner time before the theme
parks close).
For table service restaurants a reservation is recommended. In
fact if you want to have lunch or dinner in one of the table
service restaurants inside the theme parks or if you want to
have dinner in a table service restaurant anywhere else in the
resort a reservation is necessary.

üblichen Mittagszeit an ihre Kapazitätsgrenzen. Falls Sie ihr
Mittagessen nicht früher oder später einnehmen wollen,
empfiehlt sich der 5-Minuten-Fußweg in das Disney
Village (oder die Disney Hotels). Die Restaurants dort haben
in der Mittagszeiten in der Regel keine Wartezeiten (das gilt
auch für das Abendessen vor Schließung der Parks).
Für Restaurants mit Tischbedienung wird eine Reservierung
empfohlen. Tatsächlich ist diese unbedingt erforderlich, wenn
Sie Ihr Essen in einem der Restaurants mit Tischbedienung in den
Themenparks einnehmen wollen oder den Besuch eines Restaurants
mit Tischbedienung im Resort zum Abendessen planen.

The Disneyland Resort Paris accepts the usual creditcards for payment - these are
American Express, EuroCard / MasterCard and Carte Bleue / Visa. With all
of these payment in the resort, in the shops and restaurants of the
theme parks and the Disney Village - with the exception of the small food
and snack stands -, in the hotels, on the DLP-direct-hotline and at the
DLP-mail-order-service is possible. One last tip: to avoid being billed for every receipt paid with the credit card at DLP on it's
own and instead get only the totaled sum billed in one procession DLP
offers it's hotel-guests a "hotel credit card".

All guests staying in one of the
Disney-hotels in the resort are handed a hotel-identity-card at the check-in
(one per each party / room). That one is used to identify you as a hotel-guest if there are some special offers for
hotel-guests, e.g. reduced ticket-prices for
Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show
(those offers are usually only valid if the tickets are bought at the information-desk in the
hotel-lobby), or early entry into the them parks (ask for that at the check-in or the information-desk of your hotel). You will also need to show it to the castmember at the entrance to the
themepark-parking-lot, which you may use without any fee as an
hotel-guest, or if you want to send the items you bought in the shops of the parks direct to your hotel.
At your hotel it is necessary to be granted access to the
swimming pool or the fitness centre (if your hotel has one),
while it gives free access to the Hurricanes nightclub at the
Disney Village. The hotel-idendity-card together with a valid themepark-passports also guarantees you admission to the
parks, even if the gates have been closed because they have reached full
capacity.
If you have a credit card and plan to use it for shopping or dining in the
resort, ask to replace the hotel-identity-card with a hotel-credit-card during your
check-in. The castmember will then take a "copy" of your
credit-card, write down it's number and reprint your hotel-identity-card which you need to
sign. You then may show this card at all restaurants and shops (except
for Planet Hollywood,
Rainforest Cafe, McDonald's, the Tourism Kiosk, the Gaumont
Cinemas, the Lucie Saint-Clair Hair Salon and the "Chariots Gourmands") and pay your bills with it till 11.00 am on your departure day. Disneyland Paris will bill the complete amount of all your expenses in one sum onto your credit card which saves you the extra fee for foreign credit card payments most credit card companies usually
add.

zu den Themenparks vor der offiziellen Öffnung (fragen sie beim Check-In am besten immer nach derartigen Sonderveranstaltungen). Sie müssen den Hotelausweis ebenfalls vorzeigen, wenn Sie mit Ihrem Wagen auf den Parkplatz
der Themenparks fahren, den sie dann kostenlos nutzen dürfen, oder wenn sie Ihre Einkäufe aus
den Parks direkt zu Ihrem Hotel schicken lassen wollen.
Im Hotel gewährt der Ausweis Zugang zum Schwimmbad und dem
Fitness-Center (soweit das Hotel über solche Einrichtungen
verfügt), während er im Disney Village kostenlosen Eintritt in
den Hurricanes Nightclub garantiert. Zusammen mit einer gültigen Eintrittskarte für den Themenpark garantiert der Hotelausweis auch,
dass sie selbst dann in die Parks gelangen, wenn dieses wegen Erreichen der Kapazitätsgrenze offiziell
ihre Tore geschlossen haben.
Sofern Sie über eine Kreditkarte verfügen und diese in den Geschäften und Restaurants des
Resorts nutzen wollen, bitten sie den Castmember beim Check-In den Hotel-Ausweis durch eine Hotel-Kreditkarte zu ersetzen. Dazu wird er eine "Kopie" der Kreditkarte anfertigen, deren Nummer notieren und den Hotelausweis erneut ausdrucken, damit Sie diesen dann unterschreiben. Unter Vorlage dieser Karte können sie dann alle Ihre Rechnungen (mit Ausnahme solcher bei
Planet Hollywood,
Rainforest Cafe, McDonald's, dem Tourismus Kiosk, den Gaumont
Cinemas, dem Lucie Saint-Clair Hair Salon und den "Chariots Gourmands") bis um 11 Uhr am Abreisetag bezahlen. Disneyland Paris wird dann ihre Kreditkarte mit der Gesamtsumme in einer Position belasten, so
dass sie die bei den meisten Kreditkarten-Firmen übliche Auslandsgebühr reduzieren. |

If you go to DLP an you are concerned about not speaking French, you can assured that nearly every cast member will speak at least English as an additional
language. Most of the cast members will be speak one or more other
languages, too. You can see at their golden tags besides their name tags which languages they are
speaking! Most of the attraction do not need language and if so, they are mostly bi- or multi-lingual.

Muss ich eigentlich französisch können, um im Park klar zu kommen?
Die Antwort ist einfach: Nein.
Französisch macht zwar einiges perfekt, ist aber absolut nicht nötig. Während in weiten Teilen Frankreichs die Toleranzgrenze gegenüber Ausländern, die der französischen Sprache nicht mächtig sind, recht gering ist, ist das Disneyland
Resort Paris international eingestellt.
An den wirklich wichtigen Punkten (Informationen, Hotelrezeptionen) haben die
Castmember Schilder am Revers, die mit der jeweiligen Landesfahne signalisieren, welche Sprache sie sprechen können. Steht gerade jemand dort, der nur französisch oder englisch kann, ist es in der Regel kein Problem, jemanden mit Deutschkenntnissen zu holen.
Es ist von Vorteil, einen Anfänger-Englischkurz belegt zu haben (falls es in der Schule keinen Englischunterricht gab). Einfachste Schlagworte
(eat, go, see, hear, if, then, ... und hamburger <g>) und das Zählen in englisch macht das Einkaufen und Essen einfacher. Absolut notwendig ist dies jedoch nicht. Sie werden merken: Im DLP steht immer wieder mal jemand neben Ihnen, der in einwandfreiem Französisch sagt: "Dat Plüschtier da, jibbet dat auch in
jrün?" (... und er kommt trotzdem an das, was er will).
Die meisten Attraktionen kommen ohne Sprache aus, lediglich die Warnhinweise sind in französisch oder englisch dargestellt. In den ganz großen und neuen Attraktionen sogar in deutsch (z.B.
"Honey I shrunk the Audience"). Der Witz und Thrill der Attraktionen funktioniert
(disneytypisch) intuitiv oder bildhaft. |

want to preserve their impressions during their holidays and maybe show to some of their friends or relatives. The five lands of the
Disneylan Park and the five areas
of the Walt Disney Studios offer a wide range of
wonderful settings worth making a photo, but if you are not sure from which point of view you can make a great picture just look out for the "Point Photo"-signs. Don't hesitate to ask a castmember to make the photo with your camera if you want to join your friends and family on the
picture. At the Disneyland Park and the Walt Disney Studios the
oppurtunity is offered to get a picture taken with you and a Disney Character by a professional photographer at several
occasions all through the day (for further information, like location and time, take a look at the entertainment
program handed out to all guests at the entrance or at the City Hall
/ Studio Services - you can pick up the pictures later on the same day at
Town Square
Photography for the Disneyland Park and the Walt Disney
Studios Store for the studios. Town Square Photography and the
shop Studio Photo at the WDS also offer a two-hour-express-development for your
pictures. Please note: flashlight-photography is prohibited inside all
attractions, as is filming. In some attractions all photography is prohibited
(please refer to the signs at the entrance of each attraction for more accurate
information). Two of the most photographed events in the Disneyland
Park are the
Mainstreet Electrical Light Parade and the
fireworks display - to get the best pictures at these two
occasions switch the flash off (if possible or put something in front of
it) and instead prolong the time of exposure. At Town Square Photography (and most specialized photo-stores all around the
world) special films for nighttime-picture-taking are sold, with which you will get even better results
(but these are quiet expensive).

Wenn Sie sich mit der Motivauswahl nicht so sicher sind, folgen Sie mit der Auswahl Ihres Standpunktes den Schildern "Point Photo". Castmember helfen Ihnen übrigens gerne und drücken den Auslöser, wenn Sie selbst gerne mit auf das Gruppenfoto möchten. Wenn die Disneyfiguren ihre Auftritte haben können Sie sich mit ihnen von einem professionellen Photographen fotografieren lassen und die fertige Aufnahme später im
Town Square Photography
für den Disneyland Park bzw. im Walt Disney Studios Store für
die Studios abholen (genauere Informationen, wie die Daten dieser Angebote, finden Sie im
Entertainment-Programm, das alle Besucher am Eingang oder in der City Hall
/ bei Studio Services erhalten). Bei Town Square Photography im
Disneyland Park und bei Studio Photo in den WDS können Sie Ihre Filme auch innerhalb 2 Stunden entwickeln lassen.
Bitte beachten Sie: Innerhalb der Attraktionen ist das Benutzen von Blitzlicht sowie das Filmen verboten, in einigen Attraktionen ist das Fotografieren sogar vollständig untersagt (für genauere Informationen beachten Sie bitte die entsprechenden Hinweisschilder am Eingang jeder Attraktion).
Zwei der meist photographierten Motive im Disneyland Park sind die
Mainstreet Electrical Light Parade und das
Feuerwerk - um hierbei die bestmöglichen Ergebnisse zu erzielen, sollten sie das Blitzlicht ihrer Kamera, soweit möglich, abschalten (oder abdecken) und stattdessen die Belichtungsdauer verlängern. In dem Geschäft Town Square Photography (und den meinsten
Photo-Geschäften weltweit) sind auch Spezial-Filme für Nachtaufnahmen erhältlich, mit denen sie noch bessere Ergebnisse erzielen (allerdings sind diese Filme vergleichsweise teuer). |

A trip to the Disneyland Resort Paris can sometimes be cheaper by plane than by car because of the special rates that are sometimes offered by airlines like the Air France. If you arrive at one of the Paris airports Charles de Gaulle or Orly you can go to
the resort with the special shuttle service for about 13 Euro
(depending on your arrival airport). The transfer takes normally about 45 minutes
(it may take a bit longer in the rush hour). The shuttle departs from the airports on
Mo/Tu/We/Th/Sa between 8.40 am - 7.55 pm every 45 minutes and on
Fr/Su from 8.40 am - 10.10 pm every 30 minutes. Brochures about the VEA-Shuttle with the exact departure times can be found at each of the
resort hotels.

Ein Flug in das Disneyland Resort Paris kann durchaus günstiger sein als die Fahrt mit dem Auto oder dem
Zug, denn die Fluggesellschaften bieten häufig Wochenend-Aktionspreise an.
Wer nach dem Flug in Paris auf dem Flughafen Charles De Gaulle steht, kann einen Shuttle-Transfer in
das Resort nutzen. Dieser Transfer kostet 13 Euro pro Fahrt und dauert ca. 45 Minuten (Achtung, zur Hauptverkehrszeit zusätzliches Zeitpolster einbauen).
Das Shuttle fährt Mo/Di/Mi/Do/Sa zwischen 8.40 und 19.55 Uhr im 45-Minuten-Takt, Fr/So zwischen 8.40 und 22.10 Uhr im 30-Minuten-Takt.

Disneyland Railroad be sure not to board the train at the
MainStreet Station! The best station to board is the
Frontierland Station because it is often overlooked by the
crowds!

Which season should you choose for your trip? The parks of course
are more beautiful in the summer month than in the winter
(except
Xmas time). In the spring and summer month there are more flowers and trees are
greener: Also in the summer month the
opening times of the park are longer and in the high season
(mid July - End of August) you can see a beautiful
firework every
evening. But there are also by far bigger crowds in the summer!

Oft heißt es: "Im Winter sind die Park nicht so überlaufen und die Wartezeiten an den Attraktionen sind erträglicher". Grundsätzlich ist das richtig, aber: Wer das erste Mal
in das Disneyland Resort Paris fährt, dem sei der Besuch zu einer wärmeren Jahreszeit empfohlen. Grund: Das DLP hat in den Monaten ab Mai ein ganz anderes Ambiente. Die Bäume tragen mehr Grün, die Blumen blühen überall, die Gebäude und Attraktionen wirken viel farbenfroher, die Menschen scheinen fröhlicher zu sein.
Der Nachteil ist natürlich: Die Schlangen sind im Sommer länger, die Wartezeiten können bei großer Hitze unerträglich werden, die Außen-Sitzplätze werden bei hohen Temperaturen schnell zur Mangelware.
Für die Herbst- und Wintermonate spricht die Tatsache, dass die Parks nachts einen ganz besonderen Reiz
haben.

The best time for shopping at theme parks are the morning
hours, as the shops are less crowded then. The crowds inside the stores grow with each hour approaching the closure of the
themeparks; although the shops on the Mainstreet USA
/ in Studio 1 and on the Frontlot of the studios are slightly longer open than the
official operating hours of the themepark would suggest, they are terribly crowded by
then. So better shop throughout the day (or, if you can't find any time, do your shopping at Disney Village or the
Hotel-boutiques - you can find most of the souvenirs sold inside the parks also in one of these
shops) - if you make your shopping before 05.00 pm don't forget to take advantage of the free Disneyland
Resort Paris shopping
service: your items will either be send directly to your hotel (if you stay at a Disneyland
Resort Paris Hotel) or be stored at the Shopping Service in teh
Disney Village (inside the Disney Store) free of any extra
charge! So why should you carry the bags all the day long with
you?
A quiet frequent question is, whether it is possible to obtain any DLP-items or souvenirs at a Disney Store near you - unfortunately it is
not, there is only a special Disney-shop at the Val
d'Europe shopping mall which stocks DLP-products! But DLP has it's own division to solve your problem, if you forgot to buy a certain item at DLP or want to get the newest items before your next
visit: at EuroDisney S.C.A. Service Clientèle Produits it's possible to order all items sold inside the
themepark, Disney Village and the hotel-stores with a simple phone-call or
fax-message! More information and the telephonnumbers to place your orders can be found in the
tips&infos-section. You may also may make a posting on our
Forum-boards and ask if one of the DLP-Fans traveling to DLP would be so kind to get your items for you during his next

USA / in Studio 1 und auf dem Frontlot der Studios, obwohl sie etwas länger geöffnet haben, als das nach den offiziellen Öffnungszeiten des Themenparks zu vermuten wäre, kurz vor der Schließung bereits von Gästen regelrecht belagert werden. Erledigen sie ihre Einkäufe also besser während des Tages (oder, falls ihnen das nicht möglich sein sollte, in den
Geschäften des Disney Village oder den
Hotel-Boutiquen - fast alle in
den Themenparks erhältlichen Produkte sind auch in einem dieser Geschäfte zu finden) - falls sie ihre Einkäufe vor 17.00 Uhr tätigen, sollten sie nicht vergessen den kostenfreien Disneyland
Resort Paris Shopping Service zu nutzen: ihre Einkäufe werden dann entweder direkt zu ihrem Hotel geschickt (falls sie in einem Disneyland
Resort Paris Hotel oder Disneyland Resort Paris Selected Hotel gebucht haben) oder werden bei dem Shopping
Service im Disney Village (im Disney Store) für sie aufbewahrt - natürlich kostenfrei! Also warum sollten sie ihre Einkaufstaschen den ganzen Tag mit sich herumtragen?
Eine häufig gestellte Frage ist auch, ob DLP-Produkte und Souvenirs in den Disney Stores erhältlich seien - die Antwort lautet, unglücklicherweise,
nein, der einizige Disney-Shop mit regulären DLP-Produkten
befindet sich in der Val d'Europe
Shopping Mall! Aber DLP hat eine eigene Abteilung aufgebaut, um Ihr Problem zu lösen, falls sie vergessen haben ein bestimmtes Produkt im DLP zu kaufen oder neueste Produkte noch vor dem nächsten Aufenthalt erwerben möchten: bei EuroDisney

park in two days. Of course you can do all the attractions in two day but your stay will be very stressing if you do so
and you will miss most of the magic that the parks provide! Disneyland

Wenn Sie an einem Montag und Dienstag im Resort sind und die Attraktionen mit einer Checkliste abhaken ist dieses auch durchaus im Bereich des Möglichen. Aber:
das Disneyland Resort Paris in zwei Tagen artet in Stress aus und ist (besonders wenn Kinder mit dabei sind) nicht zu empfehlen.
Unser Tipp: Versuchen Sie nicht, alle Attraktionen innerhalb eines 2-Tages-Aufenthaltes "abzuarbeiten". Die Magie

To avoid the biggest queues try to do the major attractions at
noon, late in the evenings or during the
parades. The parks are less crowded during the week than o the
weekends. Of course the crowds are also bigger during the holiday

in den Parks drauf, dass Du die Highlights nur in der Mittagszeit, spät abends oder während der
Paraden fährst. Unter der Woche
sind die Parks deutlich leerer als an Wochenenden.
