After 45 years of seperation, Germany was re-united on October 3rd, 1990. For eleven years now this day is the national holiday for the Federal Republic of Germany, on which the words of the national anthem "Unity, Justice and Freedom" are especially remembered. 
Disneyland Paris is also joining the festivities for that day at Disney Village's Rock'n'Roll America restaurant: a special menu is being offered for 125 FF which includes a three course meal as well as one liter of beer. Traditional German music will also be played to entertain the guests.

Nach 45 Jahren der Teilung wurde Deutschland am 3. Oktober 1990 wiedervereint. Seit nunmehr elf Jahren ist dieser Tag der Nationalfeiertag der Bundesrepublik Deutschland an dem u.a. besonders der Worte der Nationalhymne "Einigkeit und Recht und Freiheit" gedacht wird.
Disneyland Paris schließt sich ebenfalls in Disney Village's Rock'n'Roll America Restaurant der Feierlichkeiten am kommenden Dienstag an: ein spezielles Menü für 125 FF wird angeboten, das drei Gänge und ein Liter Bier beinhaltet. Außerdem wird deutsche Volksmusik aufgespielt um die Gäste zu unterhalten. 

As its opening slowly gets closer and closer, more and more details of the Walt Disney Studios are slowly being revealed. A long debated hot topic is dinning in the new park, which was feared to offer too few options to have a meal or a snack during the day. Besides a number of food carts that will serve snacks, three restaurants can be found at the Studios:
En Coulisse Restaurant - Situated in the "Lights, Camera, Hollywood"-building at the entrance of the park, this eatery will feature fast food including pizzas, hamburgers and french fries.
Rendez-vous des Stars - Situated in the Production Courtyard right next to the Disney Channel Studios this restaurant specialises in French cuisine.
Backlot Express - in the Backlot area guests can enjoy more fast food and sandwiches.
Interestingly, Redez-vous des Stars and Backlot Express are to be found in the same building which suggests they may operate from the same kitchen, like Fuente del Oro and Restaurant Hakuna Matata in the Magic Kingdom. 

Während die Eröffnung der Walt Disney Studios immer näher rückt, kommen mehr und mehr Details ans Tageslicht. Ein heißes Thema, über das lange diskutiert wurde, ist wie und wo man in diesem neuen Park essen kann, von dem befürchtet wurde, dass er eventuell zu wenig Möglichkeiten für eine Mahlzeit oder einen kurzen Snack anbieten könnte.
Neben mehreren Imbisswägen, die Snacks anbieten werden, wird es in den Studios drei Restaurants geben:
En Coulisse Restaurant - im "Lights, Camera, Hollywood"-Gebäude gleich am Eingang der Studios gelegen, wird dieses Lokal Fast Food wie Pizzen, Hamburger und Pommes frites anbieten.
Rendez-vous des Stars - neben den Disney Channel Studios im Production Courtyard befindet sich dieses Restaurant, das auf französische Küche spezialisiert sein soll.
Backlot Express - im Backlot Bereich des Studios gibt es mehr Fast Food wie beispielsweise eine Auswahl an Sandwiches. Interessant ist, dass Rendez-vous des Stars und der Backlot Express sich im selben Gebäude befinden. Dies lässt ahnen, dass beide sich eine gemeinsame Küche teilen wie es auch das 
Fuente del Oro und das Hakuna Matata Restaurant im Magic Kingdom tun.

It seems like there's hardly any corner left at Disneyland Paris, where you won't encounter work crews: while construction of the Walt Disney Studios is progressing well, refurbishments can be noticed all over Disneyland Park. On Main Street, the Market House Deli's facade is getting some fresh paint and some necessary repairs. And it seems like the storks, that ornament Dumbo the Flying Elephant went south for the winter - because all of them have disappeared and are probably refurbished.
Outside of the park(s), crews are working on the entrance of Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show as well as on the projecting roof of Disney Village's Steakhouse. 
It's probable that there will be even more work going on at the resort to get Disneyland Paris in its best shape for then 10th Birthday Anniversary next year.

Es scheint als gäbe es kaum noch eine Ecke in Disneyland Paris, wo man nicht auf Handwerker trifft: während der Bau der Walt Disney Studios gut voranschreitet kann man im ganzen Disneyland Park Renovierungen bemerken. Auf der Main Street bekommt die Fassade des Market House Deli frische Farbe und notwendige Reparaturen. Außerdem scheint es so, als wären die Störche, die Dumbo the Flying Elephant schmücken, über den kommenden Winter in den Süden gezogen - denn alle sind verschwunden und werden vermutlich restauriert.
Außerhalb des / der Park(s), arbeiten Teams am Eingang zu Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show sowie an dem Vordach des Steakhouses im Disney Village.
Es ist wahrscheinlich, dass noch mehr Arbeiten im Resort durchgeführt werden, um Disneyland Paris in seine beste Form für die Feiern zum 10. Geburtstag im nächsten Jahr zu bringen.

Lights, Camera and Action... that's what you are supposed to find at the Walt Disney Studios once this new theme park opens. And one big part of this "Action"-element will be the stunt show "Moteurs... Action!" at the park's huge open-air theater. Some time ago, we already reported that the first rehearsals for the show were spotted on the cast member's parking lot. Now, the first tests for the effects at the actual theater were seen, too: lights were tested and smoke was rising from above the still peaceful Mediterranean village (which will certainly be not that peaceful anymore after the Studios officially opened...).
The stunt show is being produced in co-operation with famous stunt specialist Rémy Julienne and is supposed to be one of the Walt Disney Studios' major attractions. 

Licht, Kamera und Action... das sollen Sie in den Walt Disney Studios finden, sobald dieser neue Themenpark eröffnet hat. Und ein großer Teil dieses "Action"-Elements soll die Stuntshow "Moteurs... Action!" in dem riesigen Open-Air Theater des Parks werden. Vor einiger Zeit konnten wir bereits von den ersten Proben für die Show auf dem Cast Member Parkplatz berichten. Jetzt konnte man auch die ersten Tests im eigentlichen Theater sehen: die Lichter wurden getestet und Rauch stieg über dem friedlichen mediterranen Dorf auf (das sicherlich nicht mehr so friedlich sein wird wenn die Studios erst einmal eröffnet haben...).
Die Stuntshow wird in Kooperation mit dem bekannten Stuntspezialisten Rémy Julienne produziert und soll einer der Hauptattraktionen der Walt Disney Studios werden. 

In Spring 2002, many of us will go through the Walt Disney Studios' turnstiles to visit this new park for the very first time. But in order to that, we all usually need one thing: a ticket.
But how will DLP's ticketing system change as soon as the second theme park opens? Guests will reportedly be able to purchase a One-Day / One-Park pass which will be good for admission into either Disneyland Park or Walt Disney Studios Park. However, some interesting new information suggests that the one-day ticket for the WDS will also be good for access to the Magic Kingdom for up to 3 hours before it closes, giving the guests a chance to still enjoy their favorite attractions at the old park as well as the evening entertainment.
It's rumoured that Disneyland Paris will also offer a "Three Days Hopper Pass". A hopper pass means that you are allowed to switch theme parks any time you like - a system that has proven to very popular and successful at Walt Disney World.(Hopper passes are also available at Disneyland Resort in California and Tokyo Disney Resort.)
Additionally, it's been reported to us that there will be separate annual passes to both theme parks.

Im Frühjahr 2002 werden viele von uns durch die Drehkreuze der Walt Disney Studios' gehen um diesen neuen Park zum aller ersten mal zu erleben. Doch um das zu tun, brauchen wir all für gewöhnlich eine Sache: Tickets.  
Aber wie wird sich DLPs Eintrittskartensystem ändern wenn der zweite Themenpark eröffnet? Angeblich sollen die Besucher einen Ein Tages / Ein Park - Pass kaufen können, der den Eintritt entweder in den Disneyland Park oder in die Walt Disney Studios ermöglicht. Jedoch schüren ein paar interessante Neuigkeiten den Eindruck, dass das Ein-Tages-Ticket für die WDS auch zum Eintritt in das Magic Kingdom ab drei Stunden vor dessen Schließung berechtigt. Dies würde den Besuchern die Möglichkeit geben, immer noch ihre Lieblingsattraktionen im alten Park so wie dessen Abendentertainment zu genießen.
Gerüchte sprechen auch davon, dass Disneyland Paris ebenfalls einen "Drei-Tage-Hopper Pass" anbieten wird. Ein Hopper Pass bedeutet, dass man jederzeit zwischen den Parks wechseln kann - ein System, das sich in Walt Disney World als sehr beliebt und erfolgreich erwiesen hat. (Hopper Pässe werden auch im kalifornischen Disneyland Resort und im Tokyo Disney Resort angeboten.)
Zudem wurde uns berichtet, dass es separate  Jahrespässe für die beiden Themenparks geben wird. 

Is it Christmas already? Well, if you have visited the Bixby Brothers store at Main Street's Emporium lately, you might think so: this shop, which offered a selection of Men's clothing and acessoirs untill recently, is now selling Christmas decorations and special merchandise in a properly decorated setting. 
It's not known yet if the store will switch back to its old assortment once this year's holiday season is over or if it will be a permanent change.

Ja ist denn Heut' schon Weihnachten? Sollten Sie in der letzten Zeit das Bixby Brothers Geschäft in Main Street's Emporium besucht haben, könnten Sie das fast glauben: dieser Shop, der bis vor Kurzem eine Auswahl ein Männerbekleidung und Accessoires anbot, verkauft nun Weihnachtsschmuck und spezielle Souvenirs in einem bunt geschmückten Rahmen.
Es ist noch nicht bekannt, ob das Geschäft nach der diesjährigen Weihnachtszeit zu seinem alten Angebot zurückkehrt oder ob dies eine dauerhafte Änderung sein wird.

Saturday morning's special event for owners of an annual pass to Disneyland Paris featured an introduction to the pin-trading which will start with (initially) 160 pins this October. A quiz similar to "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" tried to entertain the audience - only this time it was asked "Who Wants to Be an Imagineer?". A small treasure hunt with two annual passholders and a DLP cast member through the park which could be followed by short video intermissions was also part of the program.
Big announcements like for example a confirmed opening-date for the Walt Disney Studios were not made. 

Das Special Event für Besitzer eines Jahrespasses für Disneyland Paris am Samstagmorgen bot eine Vorschau auf das Pin Trading, das mit (anfangs) 160 Pins im Oktober starten wird. Ein Quiz à la "Wer wird Millionär?" versuchte das Publikum zu unterhalten - nur wurde diesmal gefragt "Wir wird Imagineer?". Außerdem gehörte noch eine kleine Schatzsuche mit zwei Jahrespassinhabern und einem DLP Cast Member durch den Park, die sich immer wieder per Video meldeten, zum Programm. 
Große Ankündigungen wie beispielsweise ein bestätigtes Eröffnungsdatum für die Walt Disney Studios wurden jedoch nicht gemacht.

On his trip to Europe this summer, Disney CEO Michael Eisner,  visited Germany's most popular theme park Europapark in Rust. Although Eisners had planned only to stay for one hour, he surprised his host Roland Mack, chief of Europapark, by visiting this park with its lovely re-creations of European countries for nearly a whole day.
Eisner (who has usually a very tight schedule) was reportedly very impressed about the 500-year-old (true) castle Balthasar, which is included as a part of the theme park and is the home of a medieval themed restaurant. Its excellent condition might have given him some idea how to get Disney's fairy tale castles through the coming centuries...

Auf seiner Europareise diesen Sommer besuchte der Disney CEO Michael Eisner auch Deutschlands beliebtesten Themenpark, den Europapark im badischen Rust. Obwohl Eisner eigentlich nur einen einstündigen Besuch geplant hatte, überraschte er seinen Gastgeber Roland Mack, Chef des Europaparks, damit, dass er fast den ganzen Tag in diesem Park mit seinen reizenden Nachbildungen europäischer Länder verbrachte. 
Einser (der normalerweise einen sehr engen Terminplan hat) soll angeblich vom fünfhundert Jahre alten Schloss Balthasar sehr beeindruckt gewesen sein, das in den Themenpark integriert wurde und ein mittelalterliches Restaurant beherbergt. Dessen exzellenter Zustand könnte ihm wohl eine Idee gegeben haben, wie man Disney's Märchenschlösser auch in den kommenden Jahrhunderten frisch halten könne... 

With the fall season in full swing at Disneyland Paris more and more information regarding the 10th anniversary season in 2002 are being published. Thompson Travel and Paris Travel, official partners of DLP, have released their official brochures in the United Kingdom detailing the entertainment schedule for the Disneyland Park. Confirming rumors heared for quiet awhile the run of the Main Street Electrical Parade at Disneyland has been extended past it's originally last night at the 23rd of March 2002. Due to popular demand the parade will return for the magic summer nights from the 6th of July till the 1st of September (some technical problems with Disney's Fantillusion parade, according to some sources with the loudspeaker system, might have been involved in that decision too). Tarzan The Show, Mulan The Show and Winnie Pooh and Friends Too have all three extended their run for the coming season too (for exact dates take a look at the Current Dates page), as has the Wonderful World of Disney Parade. This leaves just too possible "Birthday-Surprises": maybe a new fireworks show replacing Tinkerbell's Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks (daily from 06.07. till 01.09.) and maybe a new show at the Fantasy Festival Stage in Fantasyland, which is not mentioned but which sat idle except for the performances of the Magic Music Days all through spring, summer and fall this year too.

Mit Beginn des Herbstes werden mehr und mehr Informationen zur 10-jährigen Jubiläumssaison von Disneyland Paris 2002 bekannt. So haben Thompson Travel und Paris Travel, offizielle Partner von DLP, in England ihre Broschüren veröffentlicht, die den kompletten Entertainment-Plan für den Disneyland Park enthalten. Darin wird unter anderem das schon lange kursierende Gerücht bestätigt, dass das Engagement der Main Street Electrical Parade in Disneyland über die ursprünglich letzte Vorstellung am 23. März 2002 hinaus wegen der großen Beliebtheit verlängert wurde und die Parade vom 6. Juli bis 1. September zurückkehrt (technische Probleme mit Disney's Fantillusion Parade, laut einigen Quellen speziell mit dem Lautsprechersystem, könnten bei dieser Entscheidung allerdings auch eine Rolle gespielt haben). Die drei Shows Tarzan Die Show, Mulan Die Show und Winnie Pooh und Freunde wurden ebenfalls verlängert (genaue Daten finden Sie auf der Current Dates Seite), ebenso wie die Wonderful World of Disney Parade. Damit verbleiben noch zwei mögliche "Geburtstags-Überraschungen": eventuell ein neues Feuerwerk, das Tinkerbell's Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks ersetzen könnte (täglich vom 06.07. bis 01.09.) und eventuell eine neue Show auf der Fantasy Festival Stage im Fantasyland, die in der Broschüre nicht erwähnt ist - allerdings stand das Theater auch von Frühjahr bis Herbst diesen Jahres mit Ausnahme einiger Magic Music Day Darbietungen leer.

At the Second International Meeting of Themepark- and Rollercoasterenthusiasts last Saturday at Warner Bros. Movie World Germany Daniel Schoppen presented the latest product from Disney Interactive: Ultimate Ride, a rollercoaster simulater created by the computer cracks of Disney Interactive together with the geniuses of Disney Imagineering who are behind master pieces as DLP's Space Mountain or the Rock'n'Rollercoaster to open in the Walt Disney Studios at Disneyland Paris next spring.
Ultimate Ride allows the user to create his own realistic or not so realistic rollercoaster and then ride it in full 3-D in real time... While the basic version going on sale in the US at the end of September and in Europe in early November features no Disney related props, later add-ons are said to include Disney-props to recreate your favorite Disney coaster. Through the german website of the program, which is the first published under the Disney Imagineering label, not only information about the Disney coasters will be released in the coming months but most propably also some complete tracks for famous coasters, not necessarily Disney so.
If you always wanted to recreate Space Mountain at home or show all the world that you could even enhance the ride - this is your chance!

Im Rahmen des Zweiten Internationalen Treffen von Freizeitpark- und Achterbahnenthusiasten am vergangenen Samstag in Warner Bros. Movie World Germany präsentierte Daniel Schoppen das neueste Produkt aus dem Hause Disney Interactive: den Achterbahn Designer, ein Achterbahnsimulator entwickelt gemeinsam von den Computer-Fachleuten aus dem Hause Disney Interactive und den Genies von Disney Imagineering, die hinter solchen Meisterwerken wie DLP's Space Mountain und dem Rock'n'Rollercoaster stecken, der im kommenden Frühjahr in den Walt Disney Studios in Disneyland Paris eröffnet wird.
Der Achterbahn Designer erlaubt es dem Nutzer seine eigenen realistischen oder auch mal phantastischen Achterbahnen zu entwickeln und dann in Echtzeit in 3-D zu "erfahren"... Während die Basisversion, die in den USA Ende September und in Europa Anfang November auf den Markt kommt, ohne Disney Gestaltungselemente auskommt, sollen diese in späteren Erweiterungen enthalten sein, um endlich auch die Lieblings-Disney-Achterbahn nachbauen zu können. Über die deutsche Webseite des Programms, übrigens dem ersten Titel des neuen Disney Imagineering Labels, werden aber nicht nur über die Disney Achterbahnen in den kommenden Monaten Informationen veröffentlicht, sondern wahrscheinlich komplette Strecken bekannter Achterbahnen, nicht unbedingt ausschließlich aus dem Hause Disney.
Wer also schon immer mal Space Mountain zu Hause nachbauen wollte oder denkt, er könnte ihn sogar noch verbessern - hier ist die Chance!

Thursday, the 21st of March 2002 - do You already have something scheduled for that day? If so You might better reschedule it as it seems this will be the opening day of the Walt Disney Studios at Disneyland Paris!
Rumors had been floating around or a long time now that the originally envisioned opening for the 12th of April 2002 had been moved forward. Now a new brochure from Thomas Cook Travel has become available in the United Kingdom for the first time giving an official opening date: the before mentioned 21st of March 2002, even so it does not state wether this is the day for an VIP-opening-event or wether "normal" guests are allowed in too. But also included are the opening times for all of 2002:

With these all rumors regarding the Main Street Electrical Parade being moved from the Disneyland Park into the studios or Fantasmic! (a nighttime spectacular) being under construction for a mid-season opening seem to be on the shelf at least for 2002.
Another interesting bit of news from the same brochure is the introduction of a new park hopper passport, giving access to both parks of Disneyland Paris on three days for the price of 60 pound per adult and 49 pound per child in high season as well as 45 pound and 37 pound during the off season (1 pound ~ 1,59 Euro).

Donnerstag der 21. März 2002 - falls Sie für diesen Tag schon etwas geplant haben sollten, wäre es vielleicht angebracht, die Pläne wieder zu ändern ... denn an diesem Tag sollen, so letzte Informationen, die Walt Disney Studios in Disneyland Paris ihre Tore öffnen!
Gerüchte über eine Vorverlegung der ursprünglich für den 12. April 2002 geplanten Eröffnung kursierten schon lange, doch nun hat Thomas Cook Travel in Großbritannien eine neue Broschüre veröffentlicht, die erstmals ein offizielles Datum für die Eröffnung nennt: eben den 21. März 2002, auch wenn nicht klar ist, ob an diesem Tag ein VIP-Event stattfindet oder auch "normale" Gäste die Studios besuchen können. Genauso interessant sind aber die Öffnungszeiten des neuen Parks für das ganze Jahr 2002:

Damit sollten alle Gerüchte bezüglich eines Umzugs der Main Street Electrical Parade in die Studios oder einer Premiere von Fantasmic! (einer nächtlichen Effekt-Show) während der Saison sich zumindest für 2002 erledigt haben - leider.
Doch das sind nicht alle Überraschungen, die die Broschüre bietet - außerdem wird nämlich ein neuer Park Hopper Passport präsentiert, der an drei Tagen Zugang zu beiden Parks gewährt für 60 Pfund pro Erwachsenem und 49 Pfund pro Kind in der Hochsaison und 45 bzw. 37 Pfund in der Nebensaison (1 Pfund ~ 1,59 Euro).

Today, Friday the 14th of September 2001, has been declared Day of Mourning and Commemoration for the victims of the terrorist attacks in New York City, Washington and Pittsburg by the European Union.
Disneyland Paris will join the moments of silence organized europe-wide at noon. For three minutes all attractions will close down, the music-broadcast will be halted and all castmembers will interrupt their activities. Guests will be informed by an announcement and are asked to join the castmembers of Disneyland Paris for three minutes of silence to commemorate the victims and express their support.

Disneyland Paris wird sich an dem Moment der Stille beteiligen, der europaweit für 12.00 Uhr organisiert wurde. Für drei Minuten werden alle Attraktionen und die Hintergrundmusik im Resort gestoppt werden und alle Castmember werden ihre Tätigkeit unterbrechen. Über eine Lautsprecherdurchsage werden die anwesenden Gäste informiert und gebeten, sich den Castmembern für drei Minuten des stillen Gedenks für die Opfer anzuschließen, und so ihre Unterstützung auszudrücken.

The official start of the Pin Trading at Disneyland Paris is still some time away but more and more Castmember are spotted wearing the lanyards already featuring countless pins. Unfortunately they are not allowed trade with guests before the 6th of October - but it's never forbidden to take a close look!
And taking a close look is really something that can be interesting here, even if You don't plan to join the pin craze. Depicted here are three pins that are of a special interest. The one showing Donald in what looks like a rollercoaster-car features the Disneyland Paris name prominently - adding these letters makes the origins of the pin obvious and most propably increases the interest of Americans, who started the pin craze, so expect more similar pins. The second one seen above features what looks like the official logo of Pin Trading at DLP - note that the castle and the Earffel Tower are depicted!
The third pin (seen below) in the classical "Mickey"-shape features an interesting artwork bringing the two landmarks of the two themeparks together with Mickey leading Goofy, Donald and Pluto from the castle toward the tower - a slightly different version had been handled as a possible logo for the resort among fans some time ago.

Der offizielle Start des Pin Trading in Disneyland Paris wird erst in einigen Wochen stattfinden, doch mehr und mehr Castmember werden mit den Pin-bestückten Schärpen im gesichtet. Leider aber ist es ihnen nicht gestattet vor dem 6. Oktober mit Gästen Pins zu tauschen - ein genauer Blick ist aber immer gestattet!
Und so ein Blick lohnt sich, selbst wenn man sich nicht an diesem neuen Trend beteiligen will. Hier zu sehen sind drei Pins, die von besonderem Interesse sind. Der erste zeigt Donald in scheinbar einem Achterbahnwagen mit dem Disneyland Paris Schriftzug hochkant an der Seite - dadurch wird der Ausgabeort des Pins offensichtlich, was wiederum das Interesse der amerikanischen Sammler besonders reizen dürfte, so daß wohl mehr Pins dieser Art zu erwarten sind. Darüber zu sehen ist ein Pin mit scheinbar dem offiziellen Pin Trading Logo für DLP - das sowohl das Schloß als auch den Earffel Tower enthält!
Der dritte und letzte Pin schließlich, in klassischer "Mickey"-Form zeigt ein interessantes Artwork, das die beiden Wahrzeichen der beiden Parks verbindet mit Mickey im Vordergrund, der Goofy, Donald und Pluto vom Schloss in Richtung Earffel Tower führt - eine nur minimal andere Variante war vor einiger Zeit als mögliches Resort-Logo unter Fans gehandelt worden.

When the park has closed for the night guests of this specatcle are greeted by some dark creatures at the entrance to the Main Street and are guided into HalloweenLand which has come to an life again as never before seen by any human - even ghosts need some time off after a long day of work... ushered into the Lucky Nugget Saloon the guests await a tasty up-class dinner prepared with some extra bit of witchcraft, all the while entertained by some really unusual acts. There is that dark wizard who lets things fly through the saloon and who saws his beautiful assistance into two halfes and is not interested in putting her together again or the Scarecrow Dancers ballet. It may get even spookier when guests take the chance to let the professionals create some new hair-designs or make-ups for them! This is just the perfect look for the rest of the night when the DJ tranforms the Saloon into a hellish disco...
The event will take place on the 3., 5., 6., 7., 12., 13. and 14. October at 8.30 pm, tickets are 90,- DM for adults and 54,- DM for children including dinner - and yes, it is DM as the whole evening takes place in German only. Wenn der Park bereits geschlossen ist, werden die Gäste dieses Spektakels am Eingang der Main Street von dunklen Kreaturen begrüßt und in das HalloweenLand geleitet, das wieder zum Leben erwacht ist, wie noch kein Sterblicher es je sah - hey, selbst Geister brauchen ein bisschen Freizeit nach einem langen Tag... im Lucky Nugget Saloon erwartet die Gäste ein besonderes Mehrgang Dinner bereitet mit einer extra Brise Hexenmagie. Magie steht auch im Mittelpunkt der parallel stattfindenden Show, in der unter anderem ein Hexenmeister der dunklen Kräfte zu erleben ist, der Objekte durch den Saloon fliegen lässt und seine Assistentin zersägt - ohne sie allerdings wieder zusammensetzen zu wollen. Außerdem dabei ist das Scarecrow Dancer Ballet. Und wenn die Gäste dann noch die Gelegenheit ergreifen und sich von den Profis eine neue schrille Frisur oder ein gruseliges Makeup andienen lassen, wird die anschließende Disco-Party mit DJ im Saloon so richtig höllisch!
Das Event findet am 3., 5., 6., 7., 12., 13. und 14. Oktober jeweils um 20.30 statt, Tickets kosten 90,- DM pro Erwachsenem und 54,- DM pro Kind (inklusive Dinner jeweils). Und der Clou: die Veranstaltung findet ausschließlich in Deutsch statt! Everything looks fine at the Walt Disney Studios construction site, according to Le Parisien. Work is progressing and the first attraction, the Backlot Tour's impressive Catastrophe Canyon, is being tested for about a month now. The next attraction which, that will go into "test mode" is Rock'n'Rollercoaster. According to Disney, testing for an attraction like this one should take about six months. But that's pretty much all the information one gets: even the cast members at the rest of the resort have not much of clue of what's going on behind those soundstages. Only a group of trade-union representatives were allowed to tour the new theme park - however only through the windows of a bus, which took them around the construction site. 
The big announcements about the Walt Disney Studios are expected to be released next month. But there are still a few, who get an earlier look at the new park: the people from the Disney Channel are currently moving into their new studio, that will be a part of the Walt Disney Studios experience once it opens next spring.

Die nächste Attraktion, die ihre "Testphase" erreichen wird, ist der Rock'n'Rollercoaster. Laut Disney dauerten Tests für eine Attraktion wie diese ungefähr sechs Monate. Doch das sind so ziemlich die einzigen Informationen, die man bekommt: selbst die Cast Members im restlichen Resort wissen nicht viel darüber, was hinter den großen Soundstages vor sich geht. Nur eine Gruppe von Gewerkschaftsvertretern durfte den Park besichtigen - doch auch nur durch die Fenster eines Busses, der sie über das Baugelände fuhr.
Die großen Ankündigungen über die Walt Disney Studios sollen im nächsten Monat kommen. Dennoch gibt es noch ein paar, die einen früheren Blick auf den neuen Park bekommen: das Team des Disney Channels bezieht zur Zeit sein neues Studios, das ihrer seiner Eröffnung im kommen Frühjahr zu einer Attraktion der Walt Disney Studios wird.
