The Euro Disney SCA Shareholders' Club is open to all individual shareholders of Euro Disney SCA holding at least 500 shares. Membership not only assures regular updates about the Resort and the business developments as well as invitations to the AGM and prompt mailing of the annual report. It also grants numerous privilegs and discounts including discounts on passports, at the Disney Hotels, in the restaurants and the shops. Keeping in mind the low price of the shares this makes membership worthwhile considering even for a one-time visit, especially since online-broker offer cheap accounts to hold the shares in.

The shares can be bought at all important European stock exchanges (ticker symbol: EDL). While institutional shareholders are not allowed to join the club, individual persons who have a joint ownership of shares might join the club, even so they are issued only one membership card, which all shareholders may use.

Holders of 1,999 or fewer shares have to pay an administration fee of €30,- for a two year-membership. The fee is easily "earned" with a single visit to the Disneyland Resort Paris factoring in the numerous discounts the club grants members. Shareholders holding 2,000 or more shares as well as members who have been members since 1995 without interruption are exempted from the administration fee. Membership are valid for two years and are renewable upon request.

To become a member shareholders have to sent a completed membership form (available from the official club website) and proof of ownership of the appropriate number of shares (e.g. in form of a depositary receipt certificate or bank statement, which can be provided as a copy) by snail mail to the club's office. In addition, if applicable, the administration fee must be paid either by cheque or with one of the accepted credit cards (Carte Bleue, American Express, Visa, Mastercard Eurocard, Diners Club). Renewal requests require again a completed form, proof of ownership as well as payment of the administration fee, if applicable.

The membership card usually is shipped six weeks after a complete membership request including payment, if applicable, reached the club's office. Upon request the office provides a temporary proof of membership by fax which, if a visit to the resort is scheduled prior to the arrival of the membership card. The temporary proof of membership is accepted at Salon Mickey, the restaurants and shops of the Resort but may not be used to book a Disney Hotel with discounts.

Information regarding the membership and the enrolment form are available from the Shareholders' Club office. The office also is responsible to send out replacement cards.

Mit der Mitgliedschaft ist nicht nur sichergestellt, dass der Aktionär regelmäßig über Neuigkeiten aus dem Resort und über die Geschäftsentwicklung informiert wird, zu den Jahresversammlungen eingeladen wird und den Jahresbericht erhält. Sie gewährt außerdem zahlreich Privilegien und Rabatte, so auf Passports, in den Disney Hotels, in Restaurans und Shops. Bedenkt man den niedrigen Preis der Aktien, lohnt sich damit eine Mitgliedschaft schon bei einem einmaligen Besuch.

Die Aktien (Ticker-Symbol: EDL) werden an allen wichtigen europäischen Börsen gehandelt. Institutionellen Anlegern steht der Club nicht offen, wohl aber Personen, die gemeinsam Aktien halten - in diesem Fall wird jedoch nur eine Mitgliedskarte ausgestellt, die dann gemeinsam genutzt werden muss.

Inhaber von 1.999 oder weniger Aktien sind verpflichtet eine Verwaltungsgebühr von €30,- für eine 2-Jahres-Mitgliedschaft zu entrichten. Diese Gebühr ist jedoch schnell wieder "eingenommen" mit nur einem Besuch im Disneyland Resort Paris, bedenkt man die zahlreichen Rabatte, die der Club Mitgliedern bietet. Aktionäre mit 2.000 oder mehr Aktien, sowie Mitglieder, die seit 1995 ununterbrochen Mitglied sind, sind von der Gebühr freigestellt. Mitgliedschaften gelten jeweils für 2 Jahre und können auf Nachfrage verlängert werden.

Die Mitgliedschaft setzt die Zusendung des ausgefüllten Antragsformulars (erhältlich auf der offiziellen Club Webseite) und des Nachweises der Inhaberschaft an der entsprechenden Zahl Aktien (wenigstens in Form der Kopie entsprechender Bank-/Depotunterlangen) per Post an das Büro des Clubs voraus. Desweiteren ist, sofern notwendig, die Verwaltungsgebühr entweder per Scheck oder mit einer der akzeptieren Kreditkarten (Carte Bleue, American Express, Visa, Mastercard Eurocard, Diners Club) zu zahlen. Bei der Verlängerung sind die kompletten Unterlagen, d.h. Anmeldeformular und Nachweis erneut vorzulegen - ggf. ist auch die erneute Zahlung der Gebühr notwendig.

Die Mitgliedskarten werden in der Regel sechs Wochen nach Zugang der kompletten Unterlagen und der Zahlung versand. Auf Nachfrage stellt das Büro des Shareholders' Club aber auch per Fax eine vorübergehenden Nachweis der Mitgliedschaft aus. Mit diesem ist zwar keine Buchung der Disney Hotels mit Rabatt möglich, er wird jedoch im Salon Mickey, den Restaurants und den Shops des Resorts anerkannt.
