 Once
you have chosen the right passport aka ticket there is still one big question
remaining: where can you get it? Again: if you booked a package
including a "length of stay"-park-hopper-passport all is set up for you.
You will receive your passport during the check-in-procedure at your hotel.
All other guests have a variety of options to choose from...
The easiest way and also the way chosen by most guests is to buy the
passport at the
ticket counters at the entrance of one of the two theme parks - just
choose your first theme park for the day and follow the signs guiding
guests without passports to the ticket counters. The counters usually open 30 minutes prior to the opening of the
according theme park. This allows guests who arrive early to enter the
chosen theme park prior to the official opening and await the rope-drop
(a short "ceremony" at the top of the Main Street, U.S.A. / Studio 1
after which guests can proceed to the different attractions). Note: if
you plan on visiting the Walt Disney Studios and that theme park opens
later than the Disneyland Park on the day of your visit, you can get
your passport at the ticket counters of the Disneyland Park too and
spend the extra time wandering around Fantasia Gardens or the Disney
Village once you got your tickets!
However, depending on the date of the visit guests may encounter waiting times
already at the ticket counters so getting the passports in advance is a
good idea to avoid the first line of the day - this also gives more time
to stroll around Main Street, U.S.A. / the Frontlot if you arrive before
the rope-drop. There are numerous options
how and where to get tickets in advance:
It needs to be noted though that not all partners of
the resort are having passports in stock at every location. The shop
and supermarket chains as well as the RATP ticket counters only offer
passports at selected locations, usually their major locations or at
locations frequented by tourists. In addition they do not guarantee to
have all passport types in stock at all times (event tickets are usually
only available directly from the resort, which means online, on-site or
via phone). Also selected locations
might impose a handling fee.
None of these problems is encountered when
ordering passports in advance directly from the resort, whether online
or by phone - which therefore is the most convenient option. But in this case an additional fee for mailing the tickets will be imposed. Guests staying at
a hotel in the region might therefore prefer to get
their tickets from their concierge if such service is offered (ask when
making your reservation). Also guest staying outside the resort and
traveling with the RER to the resort should ask at their local RER
station whether packages are offered including RER tickets and passports
for the theme parks.
If you plan on making use of one of the special
offers for passports check the conditions in advance to avoid
disappointment. Most special offers are only available directly at the
ticket counters of the theme parks. Ocassionally offers are also
extended to online- or phone reservations directly with the resort or
even restricted to those. The same applies to special discounts, e.g.
for members of the
Shareholders'
Club and their friends or for the friends of
Annual
Passport holders. Those are only available on-site or through
dedicated reservation hotlines. So guests who plan on using those
discounts can't use any of external options.

noch eine Frage: wo kaufen? Wiederum gilt: wer eine Pauschale mit "Length
of Stay"-Park-Hopper-Passport gebucht hat, braucht sich um ncihts mehr
kümmern. Die Passports werden beim Check-In im Hotel übergeben. Für alle
anderen bestehen verschiedene Möglichkeiten...
Der einfachste Weg, den auch die meisten Gäste wählen, ist der Kauf an
den Ticketschaltern der beiden Themenparks - einfach vor Ort sich für
den ersten Park des Tages entscheiden und dder Beschilderung für Gäste
ohne Passports folgen, die direkt zu den Ticketschaltern führt.
Üblicherweise öffnen die Schalter 30 Minuten vor der offiziellen Öffnung
des Parks. Das erlaubt Gästen, die früh genug eintreffen, noch vor der
offiziellen Parköffnung in den gewählten Themenpark zu gelangen und den
Rope-Drop mitzuerleben (eine kurze "Zeremonie" am oberen Ende der Main
Street, U.S.A. / Studio 1 nach der die Gäste direkt zu den Attraktionen
gehen können). Tip: sollten Sie planen die Walt Disney Studios zu
besuchen und diese erst nach dem Disneyland Park öffnen, können Sie
Ihren Passport auch an den Schaltern des Disneyland Parks erstehen und
die Wartezeit in den Fantasia Gardens oder dem Disney Village
verbringen!
Allerdings: je nach Andrang können Sie bereits an den Ticketschaltern
die erste Wartezeit haben. Es lohnt sich also, die Passports schon vorab
zu erstehen - sollten Sie vor dem Rope-Drop eintreffen, haben Sie dann
auch mehr Zeit die Main Street, U.S.A. / den Frontlot zu genießen.
Zahlreiche Vorverkaufsstellen stehen Ihnen zur Verfügung:
Allerdings gilt es zu beachten, dass nicht alle
Partner des Resorts Passports in allen ihren Niederlassung vorrätig
haben. Die größeren Ketten und die RATP-Ticketschalter bieten diese
meist nur in ihren größeren Niederlassungen oder an von Touristen
frequentierten Orten an. Außerdem sind nicht immer alle Passport-Typen
erhältlich (Event-Tickets sind in der Regel nur direkt bei dem Resort
erhältlich, d.h. online, vor Ort oder via Telephon). Einige
Vorverkaufsstellen erheben außerdem zusätzliche Gebühren.
Wer seine Passports direkt bei dem Resort bestellt,
sei es online oder telephonisch hat keine derartigen Probleme - für den
Versand wird allerdings eine zusätzliche Gebühr erhoben. Für Gäste der
Hotels in der Region kann es daher empfehlenswert sein, die Tickets
direkt bei dem Concierge zu erstehen, soweit dies möglich ist (im
Vorfeld unbedingt bei der Hotelbuchung klären). Gäste, die außerhalb des
Resorts wohnen und mit der RER anreisen, sollten sich auch bei Ihrer
RER-Station erkundigen, ob Kombiangebote bestehend aus RER-Ticket und
Passport angeboten werden.
Außerdem gilt es zu beachten: die Special Offers für
Passports unterliegen jeweils eigenen Bedingungen, die unbedingt vorab
überprüft werden sollen. Im Regelfall sind diese Passports nur an den
Ticketschaltern der Themenparks erhältlich, gelegentlich allerdings auch
über die Website oder die telephonische Reservierungszentrale - oder
sind gar auf letztere beschränkt. Gleiches gilt für die Rabatte für die
Mitglieder des
Shareholders'
Club und ihre Freunde, sowie für Freunde von
Annual
Passport Inhabern. Wer diese Rabatte nutzen will, kann seine
Passports nicht außerhalb des Resorts erstehen.
