So far there has been no lack of imagination as the growth not only of the Disneyland in Anaheim but also of the Disney theme parks worldwide proofs. Certainly the Disneyland Resort Paris has seen its share of changes since it opened in 1992 as Euro Disney Resort with just one theme park.

Numerous new attractions have opened since, others have been "plussed" - which describes a process introduced by Walt Disney for the first time on the Jungle Cruise in which an attraction receives improved special effects, a new scene or similar "minor" improvements" to offer return guests always something surprsing, something new even on attractions they already now.

But where imagination runs as free as in the world of Disney certainly sometimes older features need to make room for the future ... which means that some attractions get replaced, leaving only fond memories and sometimes a hidden nod in the replacement attraction. On the following pages we invite you to stroll down memory-lane with us and visit some of the attractions that have been closed...

Viele neue Attraktionen haben eröffnet, andere wurden "plussed" - ein von Walt Disney im Zusammenhang mit der Jungle Cruise entwickeltes Konzept, bei dem existierende Attraktionen mit neuen Spezialeffekten, neuen Szenen oder anderen "kleineren" Veränderungen bedacht wurden, um Gästen bei einem späteren Besuch wieder etwas neues, etwas überraschendes bieten zu können.

Doch wenn die Imagination sich so frei entfaltet wie in der Welt von Disney, müssen hin und wieder auch ältere Angebote Platz für die Zukunft machen ... anders ausgedrückt: Attraktionen werden auch ausgetauscht, so dass nur Erinnerungen und vielleicht eine versteckte Hommage zurückbleiben.
