There was also another series of clips that were featured on the show: those clips emphasised the history Disney had with Europe and showed the development of Euro Disney.

The first clip featured Walt Disney's connection with Europe: Roy E. Disney, Walt's nephew, stood in front of the small French village Isigny sur Mer and talked how his family's history started at this place 800 years ago. It was mentioned, how Disney served in the Red Cross after the First World War as well as Mickey Mouse's success in the Old World and how constant screenings of Disney cartoons at a movie theatre in Paris convinced Walt to do "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs".
Another film (that led into the opening of the Disneyland Hotel, which was taped the day before) showed how Euro Disney was built and introduced the hotels of the resort.
Festival Disney as well as Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show were also shown.
A montage of Disney movies once more demonstrated the Mouse's connection with Europe: a series of clips of famous Disney tunes were shown in different languages with Snow White singing "Someday My Prince Will Come" in German, Cinderella her "So this is Love" in French, "Bella Notte" in Italian (of course) and Sleeping Beauty's "Once Upon a Dream" in Spanish. The big finale of this sequence was the main song from "Beauty and the Beast", which started as a clip from the movie (which wouldn't hit European movie theatres until Christmas 1992) and ended with Angela Landsbury performing it at the Theatre du Château.

Probably most interesting however - at least in retrospective - was a short clip about the future plans of the Euro Disney Resort: Imagineers working on scale models and paintings for a "Little Mermaid" dark ride and a "Beauty and the Beast" show could be seen and it was mentioned that those attractions would open in 1994. A very early model for a rollercoaster called Discovery Mountain (which evolved into Space Mountain - De la Terre à la Lune), which was supposed to open in 1996, was also presented.
But the big news was the first look at the Disney-MGM Studios Europe, which were planned to open their gates in 1995. A small model of a European version of the Walt Disney World attraction Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular as well as a huge scale model of the whole theme park with a series of sound stages, a recreation of the Grauman's Chinese Theatre and the entrance area could be seen (actually, the entrance area of the Walt Disney Studios including the main sound stages leading into that park very much resembles the original plans).

The last film of this kind was dedicated to thousands of craftsmen and -women who had worked on Euro Disney. Workers from all over the world commented how great it was to work on this project. And the late President of the Walt Disney Company, Frank Wells, standing in front of a Disney-MGM Studios Europe model, thanked them for their efforts: "You know when I think of the men and women who built this park, first thing I think of is quality. A lot of people today believe that pride in one's job has literally disappeared. But the artists and workers and the craftsmen of Euro Disney prove that it's very much alive and well all over Europe. For they came from over 20 different countries and we at the Walt Disney Company cannot thank them enough for all they've done."

 Außerdem gab es noch eine weitere Reihe an Kurzfilmen, die in die Show eingebunden waren: diese Filmchen betonten die Geschichte, die Disney mit Europa teilte und die Entwicklung von Euro Disney.

Ein weiterer Film (der mit der Eröffnung des Disneyland Hotels endete, welche am Tag zuvor aufgenommen wurde) zeigte wie Euro Disney gebaut wurde und stellte die Hotels des Resorts vor. Festival Disney sowie Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show wurden ebenfalls gezeigt.
Ein Zusammenschnitt von Disneyfilmen demonstrierte noch einmal die Verbindung der Maus zu Europa: eine Reihe von Ausschnitten aus berühmten Disneyliedern wurden in verschiedenen Sprachen gezeigt und so sang Schneewittchen "Someday My Prince Will Come" auf Deutsch, Cinderella ihr "So This is Love" auf Französisch, "Bella Notte" wurde (wie könnte es auch anders sein) auf Italienisch gesungen und Dornröschens "Once Upon a Dream" in Spanisch. Das große Finale dieser Sequenz war der Titelsong aus "Die Schöne und das Biest", der als Ausschnitt aus dem Film begann (der erst zu Weihnachten 1992 in die europäischen Kinos kommen sollte) und damit endete, dass Angela Landsbury ihn im Theatre du Château vortrug.
Am interessantesten jedoch - zumindestens im Rückblick - war ein kurzer Clip über die Zukunftspläne des Euro Disney Resort: man konnte die Imagineers sehen, wie sie an Modellen und Zeichnungen für eine "Arielle"-Attraktion und einer "Die Schöne & das Biest"-Show arbeiteten, die 1994 eröffnen sollten. Ein sehr frühes Modell für eine Achterbahn namens Discovery Mountain (die sich dann zu Space Mountain - De la Terre à la Lune weiterentwickelte), die 1996 öffnen sollte, wurde ebenfalls gezeigt.
Doch die große Neuigkeit war der erste Blick auf die Disney-MGM Studios Europe, die ursprünglich 1995 hätten eröffnen sollen. Ein kleines Modell einer europäischen Version des Indiana Jones Stunt Spectaculars sowie eine riesige Modelllandschaft des ganzen Themenparks mit mehreren Atelliers, einem Nachbau des Grauman's Chinese Theaters und dem Eingangsbereich war zu sehen (in der Tat ähnelt der Eingangsbereich der Walt Disney Studios sowie das Hauptstudio, das in den Park führt, sehr stark den Originalplänen).
Der letzte Film dieser Art war den Tausenden Handerwerkern gewidmet, die an Euro Disney mitgearbeitet hatten. Arbeiter aus allen Herren Ländern kamen zu Wort wie fantastisch die Arbeit an diesem Projekt war. Und der 1994 verstorbene Präsident der Walt Disney Company, Frank Wells, stand vor einem Modell der Disney-MGM Studios Europe und dankte ihnen für ihre Bemühungen: "Wissen Sie, wenn ich an die Männer und Frauen denke, die diesen Park gebaut haben, denke ich zuerst an Qualität. Eine Menge Leute glauben Heute, dass Stolz in seine eigene Arbeit buchstäblich verschwunden ist. Aber die Künstler und Bauarbeiter und Handwerker von Euro Disney beweisen, dass er sehr wohl lebendig und guter Dinge in ganz Europa ist. Sie kamen aus mehr als 20 unterschiedlichen Ländern und wir bei der Walt Disney Company können ihnen nicht genug danken für all' das, was sie geleistet haben."

 Before you even realised it, two hours had passed and the countdown clock at the bridge leading towards Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant was nearing midnight.
And so, just minutes before Euro Disneyland was going to be finally opened, the real action started: running its way up from Town Square, the Main Street Electrical Parade premiered and dazzled European audiences for the first time.
From the other side of the parade route the Grand Opening Marching Band, playing "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah", walked up to the fairy tale castle, followed by countless cheerleaders.
Everyone, journalists, guests, performers, officials, had gathered on the Central Plaza. The Blue Fairy of the Electrical Parade had stopped between the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlour and Casey's Corner.
And then the last few seconds were counted down and stroke midnight, fireworks exploded over the Château.
Michael Eisner, Roy Disney and Robert Fitzpatrick took their place next to the Disney characters at the red ribbon in front of the castle. Standing there, Roy Disney was the first to speak: "I'd like to dedicate Euro Disney by using the words of a remarkable man, my uncle Walt Disney. He said them on the day one of his fondest dreams came true. To all who come to this happy place, welcome! This is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past and here youth may savour the challenge and the promise of the future. We hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to the world.
Now I'd like to ask Michael and Bob Fitzpatrick, the President of Euro Disney, to join me as we cut the ribbon that will officially open the park."
Michael Eisner was given the task to cut the ribbon with an oversized scissors, while Disney and Fitzpatrick held it. And with its very best French, Eisner claimed: "Et maintenant, je déclair Euro Disney officiellement ouvert!"

After he had cut through the ribbon, the gates of the castle opened for the very first time and Mickey Mouse stepped out of it, waving all those who had took part in this ceremony - no matter if they were at the park or in front of their tvs - into his Magic Kingdom…

And while the fireworks exploded over Euro Disneyland and the tension and all the bad word of mouth that had surrounded the project were replaced by a certain kind of Disney magic, Mickey's new home in the Old World seemed to become a fairy tale come true...
At least for the moment...

Und so, nur wenige Minuten bevor Euro Disneyland offiziell eröffnet werden sollte, begann die große Show: vom Town Square her kommend, feierte die Main Street Electrical Parade ihre Premiere und verzauberte ihr europäisches Publikum zum ersten mal.
Von der anderen Seite der Paradenstrecke her kam die Grand Opening Marching Band, "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah" spielend, und marschierte auf das Märchenschloss zu, gefolgt von unzähligen Cheerleadern.
Alle, Journalisten, Gäste, Darsteller, offizielle Repräsentanten, hatten sich auf der Central Plaza versammelt. Die Blaue Fee von der Electrical Parade stoppte zwischen dem Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlour und Casey's Corner.
Und dann wurden die letzten paar Sekunden hinuntergezählt und um Punkt Mitternacht explodierte Feuerwerk über dem Château.
Michael Eisner, Roy Disney und Robert Fitzpatrick nahmen ihre Plätze neben den Disneyfiguren am Roten Band vor dem Schloss ein. Dort stehend war Roy Disney der erste, der das Wort ergriff: "Ich würde gerne Euro Disney mit den Worten eines bemerkenswerten Mannes einweihen, meinem Onkel Walt Disney. Er sagte sie an dem Tag, an dem einer seiner liebsten Träume wahr wurde. Alle, die zu diesem glücklichen Ort kommen, willkommen! Dies ist euer Land. Hier erleben die Alten liebe Erinnerung aus der Vergangenheit wieder und hier können die Jungen die Herausforderung und die Möglichkeiten der Zukunft erfahren. Wir hoffen, dass es der Welt ein Quell' der Freude und Inspiration sein wird.
Nun würde ich gerne Michael und Bob Fitzpatrick, den Präsidenten von Euro Disney, bitten mit mir zusammen das Band zu zerschneiden, das den Park offiziell eröffnen wird."
Michael Eisner wurde die Aufgabe anvertraut das Band mit einer übergroßen Schere zu durchschneiden, während Disney und Fitzpatrick dieses festhielten. Und in seinem besten Französisch rief Eisner: "Et maintenant, je déclair Euro Disney officiellement ouvert!"

Nachdem er das Band durchschnitten hatte, öffneten sich die Tore des Schlosses zum aller ersten mal und Micky Maus trat heraus und winkte all die, die an der Zeremonie teilgenommen hatten - egal ob sie sich im Park oder vor ihren Fernsehern befanden - zu sich in sein Magic Kingdom...
Und während über Euro Disneyland Feuerwerk explodierte und die ganzen Anspannungen und die schlechte Publicity, die das Projekt umgeben hatten von dem gewissen Disneyzauber ersetzt wurden, schien Micky neue Heimat in der Alten Welt ein wahr gewordenes Märchen zu sein...
Zumindest in diesem Augenblick...
