The former terrace on the second floor of the LA
Bar and Grill is now an enclosed winter garden, with an wonderfull view
over the Lake Disney, from the Hotel New York on it's lower end, to the
wide stretched mainbuilding of the Sequoia Lodge which dominates the opposite
shore of the lake across of the Disney Village and finally to the white
silhouette of the Newport Bay Club at the upper end of the lake. In case
you wonder, why Flying Eye went up to the second floor of the restaurant:
Flying Eye was one of the guests of honor at the 2nd DLP-Guidebook-Fanmeeting
on the 28th of October 2000 - you can see some of the other DLP-fans who
joined the team of the Guidebook at the event right on this panorama,
as they are chatting a little bit about the speech of Imagineer Christine
Tweedly right before the lunch.
Die ehemalige Terrasse im ersten Stock des LA Bar and Grill ist mittlerweile
ein abgeschlossener Wintergarten, von dem aus sich ein wundervoller Blick
über den Lake Disney eröffnet, vom Hotel New York am unteren Ende, über
die Sequioa Lodge, deren weites Hauptgebäude das Ufer gegenüber des Disney
Village einnimmt, bis hin zur weißen Silhouette des Newport Bay Club am
oberen Ende des Sees. Falls Sie sich jetzt wundern, warum Flying Eye überhaupt
in den ersten Stock des Restaurants geflogen ist: Flying Eye war einer
der Ehrengäste des 2. DLP-Guidebook-Fanmeetings am 28. Oktober 2000 -
so sind auf dem Panorama auch einige der teilnehmenden DLP-Fans zu sehen,
wie sie sich vor dem Lunch noch über die Rede von Imagineer Christine
Tweedly unterhalten.
