 To reach "Casey Jr. - Le Petit Train du Cirque" guests must first pass under the tracks of the Disneyland Railroad into an area situated just behind the main part of Fantasyland. Located alongside Le Le Pays de Conte Fées Casey Jr is the more rapid way to journey through Storybook Land.

Guests board the various compartments of the train which include circus animal cages and carriages before it pulls slowly away from the platform. As it chugs its way towards the first bridge the sound of the engine puffs away "I Think I Can" "I Think I Can" until it edges its way over the bridge and speeds away, accompanied by the music from the film Dumbo.

Along the journey guests can catch a glimpse of just a few of the models which line the banks of the storybook cruise and the boats as they drift slowly by.

An exciting extra is added by the on board soundtrack of the catchy song "Casey Junior" (by Ned Washington & Frank Churchill) which not only perfectly embodies the pure fun of the ride but also invites everybody to sign along...

 Mit "Casey Jr.", dem kleinen Zirkuszug, durchfährt man das "Pays de Conte Fées", das Land der Feen. Der kleine Zug fährt durch die selbe Gegend wie die Märchenbahn mit ihren Booten. Um allerdings einen Blick auf die Miniaturen werfen zu können, ist die Fahrt mit diesem "Rollercoaster" etwas zu rasant.

Die eigentlich sehr harmlos aussehende Bahn ist zwar schneller, als man denkt, aber auch kein Rollercoaster der High-Speed Kategorie, sondern eine schöne Fahrt, die auch für kleine Kinder sehr gut geeignet ist.

Die Wagen, die wie im Disney Zeichentrickfilm "Dumbo" aussehen und sehr bunt und fröhlich gestaltet sind, tragen auch sehr zum Gefallen der Kinder, und nicht nur dieser, bei.

So kann man sich während der Fahrt z.B. im Löwenkäfig oder auch in der lustigen Lok niederlassen, um einen kurzen Blick auf die Modelle und Boote in der Storybook Cruise zu erhaschen.

Ein tolles Extra ist der Soundtrack in den Wagen: der eingängige Song "Casey Junior" (von Ned Washington & Frank Churchill), der nicht nur perfekt die muntere Stimmung der Fahrt verkörpert, sondern auch zum Mitsingen einlädt...

 Ideal for small children who are not quite brave enough to try out the bigger rides, Casey Jr. is just fast enough to provide enough excitement without being too scary.

 Ideal besonders für jüngere Kinder, die vor größeren Achterbahnen noch unsicher sind, denn Casey Jr. ist gerade schnell genug für ein wenig Spannung, ohne aufzuregen.

 Guests of the original Disneyland in Anaheim might note that this features also an attraction called "Casey Jr." which is also located in and around the Storybook Land - but the two are distinctive different as the original ride is a real railroad while in Disneyland Paris a so called "powered roller coaster" (which means: without lifthill) was chosen to add the extra fun of faster accelerating speeds and banked curves...

And for all technicians and historians another short note: the on-board-soundtrack uses an back in 1994 all new system which is an predecessor of the system that premiered in the year following the opening of Casey Jr. at the Space Mountain.

 Gästen des ersten Disneylands in Anaheim wird auffallen, dass dort ebenfalls eine Attraktion names "Casey Jr." durch und um das Storybook Land führt - doch sind die beiden Attraktionen völlig verschieden, ist erstere doch eine klassische Eisenbahnfahrt, während man sich in Paris für einen sogenannten "Powered Rollercoaster" (d.h. ohne Aufzug) entschied, um zusätzlich den Spaß durch schnellere Beschleunigungen und geneigte Kurven zu ergänzen.

Und für alle Technik-Fans und Historiker noch eine kurze Anmerkung: das Soundsystem in den Wagen war 1994 eine Neuheit - es handelt sich um einen Vorläufer des Systems, das dann im folgenden Jahr im Space Mountain eine Weltpremiere feierte.

 Die aller jüngsten Gäste könnten sich von dem vorbeirauschenden Zug erschrecken lassen, doch nahezu alle werden die kurze Fahrt dann doch genießen können.
